I had damaged my industrial roll up door w/ forklift gate in warehouse bent it and it came off the tracks I was totally screwed. I was calling around on a Friday afternoon & into the evening hours. Several companies were treating this as an after hours / emergency based on time of their arrival. Some were requesting outrageous amounts ahead of time most were saying I would have to wait until Monday or Tuesday the following week. Some were treating my situation as an ability to upsell me with other services knowing that they were not industrial roll up door technicians (be aware of that too) 1 company wasted 3 hrs & $600 of my time & money to leave me with out an ability to close my roll up door at 8pm on a Friday night with a warehouse / store full of inventory. Let me start off by saying that I have received excellent customer service from start to finish. I was able to get exactly what I wanted at an affordable cost. I didn't even have to shop around. My old garage was very uneven with weather stripping around it that was allowing air gaps to pass through but Franks replaced everything with new weather stripping, sealing every corner so nothing passes through. Hello, So I called several " Garage Door Repair Services" before I Frank's reached out to me ..The OTHER services quoted $150 JUST to come out.....My roommate called someone out yesterday and when I spoke the the technician he said " It's the motor... it's going to cost you $800!!... Then this morning I received a email from Gianna, she was courteous and very informative. Gianna ran down the issues that it could possibly be...I mentioned it was the remote was not working but the garage would open from the wall unit and the sensor lights were on... I recently bought a garage door from Home Depot and paid the extra pound of flesh for installation and they contracted these characters to come do the install. I spoke with Dawn multiple times on the phone regarding scheduling, with which they were extremely flexible, as my needs kept changing. She was patient and courteous, and all around a joy to deal with. They sent out a guy to do a site inspection, and this is where Home Depot loses stars, and he explained I needed to crank out another $115 for a low headroom kit, which is fine, but that to haul away my garage door would cost me $150, unless I spent $50 bucks, and at least a couple weeks, to get the paint tested for lead. Ugh. So I said I'd dump the door myself. Once the door they ordered came in they sent out Bert (Beto) to come install the door. He was on time, interesting to talk to, and did an amazing job. This guy rocked! Request him if you can. I couldn't be happier with how the door came out and the level of service I received. And I don't hold the Home Depot shenanigans against them. read more

Okay, so I would say no to having them install your garage door opener. I bought a Genie garage door opener from Home Depot and Franks is contracted with them for installation. Franks gave me a 2 hour window for installation (8-10am). I waited until 10:00am and noone showed so I called Franks. They said he was running late. I got no phone call telling me this information and they actually gave me some attitude on the phone when I called. He finally showed up about an hour later and told me he had car trouble. I should have know there would be problems with them after that but I gave them benefit of a doubt. I paid $150.00 for installation. Two months later, my garage door opener was having problems so I called Franks to see if they could come out and look at it. They said they don't guarantee Genie installations and would charge me $132.00 for a service call. They only come out for Chamberlain garage door openers. Really? I then talked with Home Depot to get them to send Franks out and Home Depot could only get them to come out if again, we paid $132.00. I finally bought a new garage door opener and returned the one installed. In addition to getting attitude from them, wasting my time and giving no apology, I am out $150.00. If you like drama...have them install your garage door opener. read more
