Let's just say 20 years overdue Jeremy and the crew at Frank's have been taking care of me and my vehicles since I was in high school I am now 42 years old and there is no or no one I would ever trust with my car And peace of mind. Took my car in here a couple weeks before I actually got it repaired. Dropped it off a couple weeks later and it took them 4 full weeks to fix this damage. I ended up having to get a rental car for 4 weeks as well. It ended up costing a total of 11200 bucks to fix this including the rental. Found out the person who hit me's insurance wouldn't cover the full damage after the fact and now I have to pay a bunch of money out of pocket. My older friend who gets in a tizzy with everything someone hit her car and minor dent took frank three weeks to get it fixed.The car was drivable and so she could of driven around with that minor dent in it but she had to go three weeks without her car because of one thing after another. I try very hard to keep out of her business but I keep an eye on her believe me and this was just so unacceptable. 3 weeks to fix a minor dent While the car was still drivable! Totally cosmetic. Just found out when she got her car back finally they asked her to do a yelp review. Now mind you she's older and I keep my business away from her but I keep a good eye on her and she doesn't have a smart phone how the Frick is she going to make a yelp review and it's going to stress her out! read more

Rear passenger door was over extended and during that time when we tried to close the door with window down it broke the glass. Was quoted by a few official Subaru repair shops - with Franks being an official "Retailer Certified Collision Center" per Subaru website. I asked Franks if there is any difference between the North and South location and was assured it's the same people. Keep in mind that only the North shop is listed by Subaru. Franks quoting was very detailed which we appreciated knowing that there won't be any surprises. They said they follow Subaru steps 100%. It was all good knowing that. Labor rates and parts were reasonable. Parts there was a small markup compared to if you would've bought directly from dealership. Was assured they only Subaru parts and if they see something going on that needs repair they would replace. So we got quoted for glass, hinges, door check, and paint. There were some other labor charges for paint and glass related things (e.g. cleanup) If they find any other issues they would let me know and that's where my issue is with them. When I got the car back in a reasonable time and tried out the door that got messed up the door check was super stiff. I asked them if that's normal and did say it was stiff but we both thought maybe because it's new. Over a few weeks the door check snapped and also black glue stuff stuck on the glass. Informed Franks about it and they said they will look at it. When I got it back the door was not as stiff and Franks concluded there was something with the door and they would have to replace it. I got a quote and for it and prices were reasonable. Overtime I noticed the door check screws were lose and if I were to tighten it then yeah door becomes stiff. Additionally, I've emailed them several times about the black glue stuff appearing on the glass with no answer. I decided to open the open the door panel myself and discovered several things that I believe should've been addressed in the first visit. 1. Door check was stiff and there seems to be a disconnect between the mechanic and the account manager. Franks should've realized at that point that there was more that needed to be replaced - the door! 2. The vapor barrier was taken off or not salvaged and when they put it together it's when the black glue stuff maxes contact with the glass. (Is this per Subaru standard?) 3. The door check they gave me belonged to a different Subaru or something because the part marking is not the same. I confirmed this with another Subaru same make and year. I also bought a new door check for my car and marking is different. Additionally the door check was bent. Franks told me that it was because the door needed to be replaced and that's why it got bent. I believe someone bent it on purpose so that it's no longer stiff. Keep in mind that there are two heavy duty hinges that keep the door in place. So the door making it bent is unlikely and why did it it bend the first door check vs snap? Overall, the things they did was good but they failed to realize this door problem when they had it open. To fix it I would have to pay for the labor to remove the door etc aka extra charges that could've been avoided the first time had they realized the door was also messed up. I clearly saw the door check location on the door was clearly messed up and it makes me wonder why they didn't bring it up. I made adjustment myself and now the door check is not stressed but because I can't bend the door check mount perfectly it's why I still can't have window fully down and open and close door. The angle in which the end of the door check travels when door is closed is hitting or putting pressure on glass when down. That's why glass broke. Now I know not to lower the window too much and everything works fine. Future goal is to somehow bend the door check mount on the door so that it won't hit the glass. read more

Mercury Insurance sent me here after an accident, I had damage on my right side tire and alignment. A few months after my car was "repaired" by Franks, my husband drove my car and said it was pulling to the right. Something I hadn't noticed, because I don't notice things like that. I took my car to my regular mechanic to have him check the alignment. He informed me that it was indeed off. I immediately called my claims agent at Mercury and she told me to take it back to Franks to have it fixed, as the repairs were still under warranty. Off to Franks I went. I was greeting by a very morose Justin, who immediately wrote me off. He said he would figure out what to do and call me, he also asked who my mechanic was. I left and waited for a phone call that never came. I called him a couple of days later and he told me to bring my car in and he would have his guy run a test on my alinement. He called me to come pick my car and informed me that is was off. So now he had to check with someone else to see what to do now. A week went by and I called, never got a return phone call. I called the next day, and Justin informed me that they were not going to fix my car. I now have to pay to have it fixed when I already paid my deductible, thinking they would fix my car properly and they were rude and unprofessional every step of the way. Wow! These guys are the best. Angel at Frank's Collision took great care of my car after it was hit; he replaced the bumper and did paintless dent removal on the fender perfectly. My 80 year old Mother crashed her 2000 RAV4 about a month ago and asked me to send her some local body shop contacts about getting it repaired. I live in Sun City and she lives in San Clemente. I found three places online that were nearby to her and I guess she called Frank's. They took looked her car over and told her it would be about $4500. Well, if you know my Mom, you'd know that she lives WAY below her means and there just wasn't any reason to justify putting that much money into that old of a vehicle. The car, other than the damaged fender and minor door panel scuffs, is a cream puff that was garaged, serviced and has only 89K miles. So, she calls me up and asks me to go over to Frank's to check out the vehicle first-hand and see what I think. So, I'm in the area the next Friday so I pick her up and head over to Frank's. When we got there, I was impressed with the orderly yard and garages plus when I walked into the office I was greeted by two employees. Jeremy Dugan was the Estimator that was handling my Mom's RAV4 and he was very professional and informative. He has an excellent demeanor and even though my Mom is "difficult" at times as she gets on in years; Jeremy was very kind and patient with her. Once it was obvious my Mom just wanted to get rid of the RAV4 by donating it to charity as is; I offered to pay for whatever time or services rendered thus far might be in order and Jeremy explained it wasn't necessary. I reminded him about impound space in Frank's yard but he said as long as it was moved within another day, there would be no charges incurred. I helped my Mom clean out her personal possessions from the RAV4 and took her home. The next day, Saturday, right when Frank's opened, I showed up bright and early and there was Jeremy taking care of business. I got the RAV4 off the lot and thanked him again for the great service with an apology for my Mom not having the repairs done after all. The impression that the whole experience with Jeremy and Frank's Collision Center left on me will last a long time and I can say nothing but excellent things about the entire establishment. I had to drive to carlsbad in 90 degree heat without an air conditioner that hasn't worked in months. I stopped by Franks and was greeted by a very personable and professional young man named Jeremy. He then made a call to another very obliging employee named Walter. He came running to my rescue! Within minutes Walter had my air conditioner back running and working better then ever! I cannot say enough amazing things about Frank's. It really sucks that I have had to take my car there THREE TIMES, but they have done an amazing job each time. The office is totally clean. The receptionist is friendly and helpful both on the phone and in person. They are really clear in explaining exactly what they are going to do to your car. Best repair shop I've been to. I refuse to go anywhere else. I grew up in San Clemente and trusted Jeremy & the rest of Frank's Auto Collision team to take great care in any type of repair to my vehicles. I've moved about an hour north now & I still go out of my way to have my cars checked out at Franks. A main reason: I was in an accident 2 years ago late at night & had my car towed to a repair shop in Fountain Valley close to where my car was hit. Due to their crap service it took 3 months to fix my car & they put in second hand parts & cause several issues to my vehicle that I still deal with now because of their poor work. Jeremy has never let me down. The car is taken care of quickly, the repairs flawless & it feels like the car is new again. They're an honest and hard working spot. Sergio is my favorite. This place is the only place I will take my car after having some aweful service elsewhere. They sit and talk to you about your car, they care for your car, they will take extra time to make sure it's all done right. They loan out loaners for free, they wash your car (and if it's raining, they let you come back and get a free wash later). They may be a bit more pricey than taking your car to jiffy lube or walmart, but I'd say well worth it for someone to look at my multi-thousand dollar investment. read more
