The milk in the latte was slightly over textured (more cappuccino than latte) but still tasty and she was able to produce a small amount of latte art which given the shape of the mug wasn't that easy. I found a space and only had about a two-minute walk to Public Works. The space is industrial but cozy, and I love the little community library in the red phone booth. That's such a cute touch and very on-brand for a neighborhood spot. It also turns into a wine bar at night. I ordered the iced matcha honey latte with almond milk. It was good, but definitely on the sweeter side. Almost milkshake-like. (Not frozen, just thicker and sweeter than a traditional matcha). I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for an earthy or classic matcha. The texture was a bit grainy with some settling at the bottom, and I did get a small clump in one sip. Not a big deal, just noticeable. If I had to guess, they use a pre-sweetened matcha powder. They don't advertise having pure or ceremonial matcha, so I'm not too pressed. Just sharing my experience. Service was quick and I got my drink within just a few minutes. There's plenty of indoor seating plus a spacious, dog-friendly patio. The vibe is very social and family-friendly, with lots of conversation, families, and groups. I personally wouldn't come here to study or work, but it seems like a great spot to meet with friends or family, or just a casual coffee run. I'd come back when I'm in the mood for something sweet. I'm curious to try the Cuban latte next time since it gets so much love. I'm glad I checked this place out.

I can assure you with great certainty that this is NOT a dark roast, has the light color and flavor of a medium roast so needless to say, I'm disappointed. Also noted on the packaging is that its decaf process is done with ethyl acetate rather than my preferred Swiss water method. I asked about a dark roast with caffeine for the others in my household and she said they were out and I'm really happy I didn't purchase one like this which wasn't a dark roast.
