Pam and David are the sweetest and most hospitable hosts, and their B&B truly feels like a cozy home. They collect really fun items, and each room has its own character and its own unique homey decor. The location of the inn is close enough to walk anywhere you would want to go out for dinner, drinks, or shopping. The best part of the inn (besides Pam's breakfasts - which always include the BEST fruit bowls) is most definitely their 13 year old chihuahua, Penny. She often makes an appearance after breakfast and steals the heart of everyone she meets. If you aren't able to use a tub with a shower handle (like the kind popular in Europe) to bathe, then I would suggest getting one of their rooms with a shower/tub combination. I loved having a clawfoot tub to soak in (we stayed in the Rose Room this time) each night while I read and drank a cup of tea. There is usually hot water and teabags or instant coffee available at all hours (freshly brewed coffee is available starting at 7am) on the stairway landing and I took full advantage of that amenity!

We initially had to check in at the Inn at Cannon Beach about a mile down Hemlock Street where we were warmly greeted and given details about our stay, the surrounding area, and freshly baked cookies! The one bedroom Suites come with a designated parking spot, which is wonderful, but the spots are on the smaller side, so a sedan or compact car would be ideal. We had a comfortable stay, cozy linens and soft towels. Great water pressure in the walk-in shower. The oscillating pedestal fan in the bedroom was greatly appreciated, especially since A/C is not available. The kitchenette was stocked with the usual desirable appliances and utensils. The overall space was clean and the furniture well placed. Artwork of Oregon Lighthouses were on display throughout the Suite and fitting for their namesake, paying tribute to the state's history and acknowledging other coastal towns! The location of this small upscale Inn is very desirable even though it does not have an ocean view. Many great restaurants are within walking distance or no more than a mile away. Shopping for pleasure or essentials is also very convenient. We enjoyed taking a leisurely stroll to the beach and relishing in the sight of Haystack Rock! My…read morehusband and I stayed in the Column View room which was the perfect size for the two of us and has an attached bathroom. Despite being 7 months pregnant, the bed was very comfortable! The whole house is decorated in old antiques and interesting things - Love! The shared deck was very nice, with plenty of coffee, tea and hot chocolate to enjoy while watching the ships pass by on the river. We were easily able to find street parking each time and were just blocks away from some really good recommended restaurants, breweries and shops. I was very impressed by the amazing breakfast that Theresa, the innkeeper and owner, cooked and served each morning. The interaction with other guests over breakfast was one of my favorite parts. Make note that check-in time is from 4pm-6pm. We were stuck in some traffic and didn't arrive until 8pm, so we called around 6 and Theresa was gracious in welcoming us at our late time. We absolutely plan to stay here again if we find ourselves back in Astoria. I highly recommend you do too!

I will make sure that I do many reviews so that anyone else considering booking with you will know that there are people selling drugs on the street next to your bed and breakfast and that it's not safe And also that you don't work with your customers when there's a bad situation Maybe what you can do is take the money and pay it forward to someone in need since you aren't willing to give us any of the money back Consider helping the people in your neighborhood with drug addictions Use the money to do something good since you didn't need it to pay your cleaning lady or your water bill or use it to buy the food. This used to be my go-to in Seaside, (and another hotel in Lincoln City), but not anymore. I have…read morestayed here countless times without issue until my last stay in October 2025. I have always used the same card to reserve my room, and for some reason the desk employee decided it was a good idea to run my card through again and again for a total of SIX times, only to have my bank tag it for fraud. This resulted in me having to call my bank several times, who eventually called Visa, both saying there wasn't a problem with my card or credit limit. The entire time the employee kept stating how he has been doing this for 30 years so it couldn't have been his fault. Not only would he not take responsibility for his recklessness, but he implied this was my fault somehow. This took hours to resolve, back and forth between the bank and the hotel, and I finally, reluctantly, used a different card. It's unnerving to have your credit card tagged for fraud because a desk clerk screwed up. I emailed Frank Hotels after this happened with no reply. Apparently, they don't care if they have an unhappy customer and a rude employee. Normally when there is something brought to management's attention you get a response, not so with this company. Hopefully others will not have the same problem, and as a side note, there are other Frank Hotels along the coast ... so beware.

Judith has been at the bed and breakfast biz for a very long time and she knows how to do it! She works hard to make guests feel welcomed and happy. Located in the hills of quaint Astoria, this place oozes with old-fashioned charm -- making it irresistible for a romantic heart like mine. We have stayed in the French Violet room twice (our favorite) and in the schoolhouse building once. Both were great and we had a wonderful stay. I love that there aren't tv's in the rooms -- you don't come to a B&B to watch TV! I love the well-curated furnishings and the way Judith has accommodated my food requests every time. She is an amazing host. She is honest and direct, but also warm and welcoming. The best traits, in my opinion. Clementine's is our place...and we hope Judith is here for many more years. It's a fantastic place to stay along the Oregon Coast. I can't say enough good about this place!
