Cannot recommend this place enough. I am a young woman and the owner treated me like his own daughter. Looked at my car for over 3 hours, had his son test drive it on highway and back street, turns out nothing was wrong I just needed to take all the pots and pans out of my back trunk. This man charged me nothing for my insane inconvenience and incompetence!!! He was so kind. I could not recommend enough read more

I stopped by Franklin Specialist with a shredded tire and asked if they could install my spare. They did it free of charge, which I really appreciated. They also pointed out that I needed two new tires and that my front brakes were dangerously low--issues I was already aware of, so it wasn't an upsell. I had them order two new tires, and they got me scheduled quickly. They even allowed me to bring my own brakes and rotors and only charged for the labor. The owner, Dan, is incredibly kind and treats customers like family. I highly recommend Franklin Specialist for honest, reliable, and thoughtful service. read more

Several days ago I took my vehicle back to Franklin automotive by Arsenal. I can't praise them except to say in Tina Turners words "Simply the best". Outstanding and exceptional service. read more

I came in with a stubborn check engine light on my 2020 Nissan Altima. Dan and his team went above and beyond to attempt to remedy this "common-as-a-headache" problem that was resistant to treatment, shall we say. Only when it was clear that a software issue might be the remaining explanation for the persistent light did they suggest I go to a Nissan dealer. Let me just say they gave me an incredible deal on cost despite the labor their process of elimination must have entailed. Dan wants his customers to have solutions, not needless expenses. In the times we live in, to have someone with honesty and integrity looking out for you warms the heart. I cannot recommend Franklin Specialists enough. read more

The BEST repair shop on the Planet! It may take a while to get in, but it's well worth the wait. Great friendly people, fast service. Nice prices. Thank you, Dan, for taking care of the silver/ PT Cruiser. Try 'em, you'll like 'em. Happy Trails! read more

This is an old school independent repair shop that specializes in Nissan/Infinity cars and trucks. If your tired of the BS from your Nissan dealership, I highly recommend this shop, fair prices, high quality work and great personal service and IMHO, very honest up front guys. I've had two different cars worked on here, as well as other family members and this is a terrific shop if you own a Nissan. read more

Had a sensor in the back bumper of my Nissan fall out after it was repaired a year ago in KC. I called and Dan told me to come on in. He looked at it and explained how he would fix it. Was in and out within 30 mins. Highly recommend these guys! read more

I only buy Infiniti because I know the repairs will be done right at Franklin Specialist.

I've been coming here for 3 years now for my 2008 Inifiniti G35xS and it's honestly the best car repair shop anyone can ask for. I recently met Dan who took over the shop, and I know he will take good care of my car in years to come. He would listen so patiently, solve my problems in no time, and give me down-to-earth advises. On several occasions he refused to charge me anything because they were small fixes. And then there's Liezel who manages the front desk. She is such an angel and so much fun to talk to. I always feel welcomed and comfortable at the shop. In general, everyone I've met at Franklin Specialists have been genuine and helpful, and even if I consider buying a car that's not Nissan or Infiniti down the road, I would still come here! read more

Dan is incredible, your vehicle is safe and in great hands with him! Without hesitation, I would drive 2 hrs just to have him look after my car again. He is a great guy and is very professional! Being so far from home, it made me very grateful to feel like there was someone I could trust in a big city. Go see him!! read more

Very honest, loyal, and genuinely wants to help. He is going to get the best deal possible. Just a good guy!

I learned about Dan's shop thru internet search as I was looking for a shop that had experience on older Nissan/Datsuns. I am the original owner of a 1980 280ZX which was running a little rough which caused a slight vibration on the hood. Dan's team diagnosed the issue as a faulty fuel injector. I actually had a set of new fuel injectors which they installed. On top of the injector work they did a thorough inspection of the existing fuel system and replaced several fuel hoses. They adjusted the timing and now the engine is running per factory specifications and no vibrations. When I picked up the vehicle Dan took the time to explain the repair to the point we even discussed torque requirements of the injector fasteners. Dan knows Nissan's and takes the time to make the customer feel confident that the repairs are done right and at a fair price. I will definitely use Franklin Specialists again. Joe O. read more

AMAZING service. Franklin Specialist has never let us down. Dan, who we interact with the most, goes above and beyond for his customers. All the workers are very nice. After many years of not trusting a mechanic shop, I feel safe knowing they're doing their best to get us in and to fix the problem. I have two children under two, and I'm hoping my 2004 Infiniti G35 will last just a few more years and am confident FS can make it happen. 10/10 will always be taking my Infiniti here. read more

Wow! Literally best car repair shop I have ever been to. The moment I entered, Dan greeted me with a cold bottle of water and thoroughly noted the issues I was experiencing with my car. He called me later in the day saying my vehicle was ready. My husband and I picked it up and had such a great time chatting with Dan. You can tell he's just a nice guy looking to provide a good honest service. I'm always concerned when I visit car repair shops that they're trying to rip me off...not Dan. He was incredibly trustworthy, went above and beyond and even attended to some minor issues in my car free of charge. Additionally, I brought my dogs over with me and took them on a walk during some of the repairs and Dan saw us across the street and he ran over with cold bottled water, a bowl and dog treats. Just an unbelievably nice person. I can't say enough great things! Pros - trustworthy, honest service - you feel like a part of the family from the moment you enter - you know they're looking out for your best interest and will give you their honest opinions - goes above and beyond to accommodate patrons Cons - none! This is by far the best car repair service I've ever received. If you need a repair, run to Franklin! read more

Dan the owner is not only an amazing mechanic but person. He's very knowledgeable and will work until he finds the root cause. The only draw back is he's so busy he can't schedule you for months down the road. Give this man a call anyway. Sometimes he finds away. read more

Very honest and dependable. Very experienced especially with Nissan. Takes a while to get in but I've never met a mechanic is methodical as he is! Apparently that's why he's so busy. read more

These guys are the absolute best. I have a 1998 Pathfinder, and I wouldn't take it anywhere else. As someone who know nothing about cars, it can be intimidating when something goes wrong with your car. At this place, I never feel intimidated or pushed into anything. One time I even dropped my car off in the middle of the night when it broke down, and they figured out what was wrong and had it all fixed by the next day. They can usually diagnose the problem with just my explanation of how the car is behaving. Even after simple oil changes my car feels like it runs better. Go to them for everything, from simple travel checks, oil changes, to major repairs. You know you will get quality work at a fair price. Don't expect friendly chitter chatter, these guys (and gals) are here to get the job done. The waiting area is a tiny area with only 2 or 3 chairs, and awkwardly faces the desk, so if you have to wait for your car bring something to read. Cons - not open on the weekends. If you have a Nissan, go here. Avoid the dealer. Save yourself stress and cash. read more

I can't say enough good things about Wes and the gang at Franklin. Reliable, honest, trustworthy, fair, good, and priced right. All of the things in a mechanic that makes us nervous as you know what. If you have a Nissan and you are going ANYWHERE ELSE you are missing a great resource right here in STL. Go see Wes and tell him Pat told you so!! read more

This place is tip top! I'm so lucky to have found Wes, Debbie, and their crew. They have taken care of me and my Altima from the first few months of ownership to years later. Where other places will upsell, they'll try to save you money. Where other places will bamboozle you with BS, they'll talk straight and explain things. All without making you feel like an idiot for not knowing what they're talking about. In fact, you get a pretty decent speedy education on what was going on with your vehicle. I love these guys! read more

This place is my go to for car repairs!!! They are honest and trustworthy. They won't try to take money from you with unnecessary repairs like some other car places. Just recently they saved me about $1500 off what another car place told me I would have to pay to repair my vehicle. They are kind, knowledgeable and willing to help with anything. I recommend to everyone and will continue to do so. read more

Just when I gave up hope that there was a such thing as an HONEST mechanic, I found this place. Wes and Debbie treated me like I was their daughter. Not only were they kind, warm and TRUSTWORTHY but they saved me at least 5,000.00 that I did not have. I had been to no less than three shops before I found this place. And did I mention he diagnosed my car in one test drive, less than 10 minutes. AHHHMAZING read more

Dan and his team are amazing! If you drive a Nissan or Infiniti, do yourself a favor and make them your first call every time! They truly know the meaning of service and go above and beyond to take care of their customers. read more

My first time going there wasn't even an hour ago but I had such a good experience here I've felt the need to write a review right away. Really polite service from when I first walked in until I was pulling my car off again. Dan seemed super knowledgeable and that he actually cares about his work. Explained the process of what was going on with my g35 and showed me as well so I could see for myself. Overall great experience. I just got here from Florida and have found the mechanic I'll be going back to. Anyone with a Nissan brand car I'd highly recommend to here. read more

My brother and I have been taking our Nissans to "Wes" for over ten years. Brutally honest...and fair....which is what you want in a mechanic. We found them because I grew up driving a Honda. Our Honda mechanic (the best and most honest in town--JAMCO on the Hill) said "when you buy your Nissan, take it to our friends and the best in town...Franklin." Don't even hesitate...Wes is one of the best guys in the business. read more

Wes and his crew have been taking care of my cars for 10 years (and our family for longer). First thing you need to do is buy a Nissan--most reliable cars on the road. Then you take them to Wes, whose maintenance crew keeps them purring. I had Maxima that was my high school car and I drove it for over 10 years. That car would never have lasted as long without the TLC Franklin gave it. I never had to do any expensive work on it because Wes always caught little things during routine maintenance and got them fixed before they became anything expensive. I moved to Dallas and bought a new Altima. My first road trip was to St. Louis and you can bet I took it to Wes to have him give it a once over because I have come to trust and value their findings and opinions. Yes, Franklin Specialists is so good I drove from Dallas to see them. These guys are trustworthy, do high quality work, and do it right the first time. They won't mess with you or try to upsell you to meet quotas. They do honest work and do only what needs to be done, nothing else. If you drive by, you'll see the lot is so full they are out of parking. There's a reason for that. I cannot recommend Franklin Specialists enough. read more

Great, honest service and a fair price. My sunroof drain was clogged and I wasn't able to fix it myself. They listened to my explanation of the problem and took care of it. read more

To say that these guys know Nissans is an understatement. I've been coming here for years - Wes is a great guy and is an honest mechanic. He will fix your problem and will do so at a fair price. Trust that this is the best place in the area to get your Nissan serviced!! read more

Great shop; I always took my Nissan 350Z here. I babied that car, and had heard they are the Nissan shop to take it to. I would never take a car to the dealer; why pay inflated prices when you can have the same quality work done for a fraction of the price. The other reviewer is exactly right; they don't chitter/chatter and just want to focus on getting your car fixed. read more

Simply amazing. I am from out of state and needed a Nissan inspected before I made a purchase decision. I searched and called Wes and crew purely based on yelp reviews. Quick, professional, and fair price was quoted ahead of time. They went and evaluated the car giving me detailed responses to my questions. I repeatedly tried to pay the PPI inspection fee plus transportation costs. Wes would have none of it. One of the staff was heading that way anyway so they did it for free!!! What?!? Yup. I wish I had folks as good as this in my town. St Louis, you are lucky. Call them! read more

As long has as I have been a customer of FS, I have always had great admiration for the quality of work and the care and honesty that they have given me, as a customer, and a friend. Bob was a good friend and both Deb and Wes have been consistent, kind, and understanding when I have had problems with my cars. In the 30 plus years that I have been a customer, they have always gone the extra mile with suggestions and support to keep my cars in great running shape. There are few people in this town that I would so heartily recommend. I am the son of a mechanic and car salesman. My father's wise words to me were, "find a mechanic you trust, follow their advice, and you won't have to worry about your car again." I followed that advice and it has paid off. Thanks to everyone at Franklin Specialists. I really appreciate your help. read more

If you have a Nissan, you MUST check out Franklins! I'll admit, I drove past it for years, a little skeptical, because it's nothing fancy! After a couple friends recommended it, I took my 2004 Xterra to Franklins for some extensive work. They could not have been more honest! As someone who doesn't know a thing about cars, I always feel a little vulnerable when repairs are needed, but I immediately felt comfortable with these folks! I've had subsequent work done since my initial repair experience and I have always been pleased at the pricing. I wouldn't take my Terra any where else! HONEST HONEST HONEST! Great pricing! No pressure! If you have a Nissan, you're lucky! You just found your forever repair place! read more

After I discovered that taking my car to the dealer's was a ripoff, I started coming here after a recommendation from a friend. The service is great, never any problems, prices are always as previously discussed, good honest repair shop. Over the years we have had several cars serviced by Franklin Specialist and they make the experience convenient and hassle free. read more

I have been a customer here since 1980, and will only bring my car here for whatever needs it has. I am a very loyal customer, and truly believe that Every One of their customers is Very loyal to them. They have this policy of listening to their customer, correctly diagnosing the problems at hand, correctly fixing the problems at hand, never sabotaging anything else to encourage the customer to return after a couple of weeks, and so they seem to only like to see their customers socially because they return a car that is in perfect working order so that there is no need to return for quite some time. They are absolutely honest, and fair, and they don't care if you are male or female, as you will get the very same honest and most competent work. They specialize in Nissan/Infiniti, but if it is Japanese, and you have a problem, they will either be able to correct it, or will be able to tell you where you need to take it. If they recommend someone else, it is someone you can trust, as they stake their reputation on their word whether it be their work or another's. I don't drive Nissan, Nor does my husband, but we take two different makes of Japanese cars here and no where else. Everything from a light bulb to a timing belt! read more
