It is multi-level mall with all of the typical stores that are found at any mall across America. It also boasts a 20-screen AMC movie theater and several restaurants and eateries. There is a traditional mall food court on the top level. It also has some stores unique to Spokane where you can buy knick-knacks and what-not made in Spokane and the surrounding area. We like that as we always like to take something local with us back to San Diego. The giant red stiletto heel at the entrance off of Spokane Falls Blvd. is a great photo op! Cool in the summer, warm in the winter. The climate inside changes with the climate outside.

I haven't been to a mall that was this full in a number of years. Not only were there a lot of people, but there weren't very many empty storefronts. Which I feel is a rarity in recent years. Like I said the small is absolutely huge. The parking lot is huge. It takes quite a bit to walk around the whole mall and see all of the shops. They have all the standard shops that you would expect: Pandora, Macy's, Hot topic, Spencer's gifts, there's even a great board game store. So why four stars instead of five? There are two main reasons for this. The first reason is that while there are a lot of stores, and there are the majority of the stores that you would expect, the mall is missing a few key stores that are needed. Specifically a toy store. There are several stores in the mall that have a small toy selection, but there isn't a store in the mall that just sells toys, and just sells like Legos. A LEGO store would be a great addition to any mall, I don't know if the Spokane Valley Mall is large enough to warrant the Lego store, but this mall needs a toy store. There is a Toys R Us section in the Macy's, but it's one of the smallest Toys R Us sections I've seen in any Macy's I've been in. Oh! And there's a great indoor playground at the end of the mall that you have to pay for. But there's also a great free play place down by the indoor playground. Both are good options for small kids. The second thing that brings this mall from four stars to five stars is the food court. I get that food courts are a weird proposition in 2025, but the pickings here are pretty slim. And other than Sbarro there's none of the staples that you would expect from a food court, although there is a cinnabon located elsewhere in the mall. There's also a large movie theater right by the mall, which is nice, it's also surrounded by a bunch of other stores that you're probably looking to shop at like Old Navy, Barnes & Noble, Dick's sporting goods. It's also surrounded by a bunch of restaurants like Red Robin, Buffalo wild wings, black house steakhouse. So if you're looking for a good mall experience definitely check this mall out. It has two levels and you don't see a lot of vacant spots as you do with the NorthTown Mall. There is also a decent selection of stores and plenty of parking all around the mall. There isn't a parking garage but that doesn't seem to bother me. It does have a food court and also plenty of restrooms. On weekends it can get pretty busy which is actually a good thing considering malls have become less popular over the years. I still prefer to shop in person than online for most things. As far as cleanliness, they do a great job of keeping this place clean. It's not a huge mall by any means, but it does have a decent selection of stores and is a great place to come and pass the time away.

I am so sad to say I had a pretty poor experience at the Spencer's Gift store in the Northtown…read moremall. I called in yesterday, October 17th, to ask if they had an item I had seen online. The girl who answered the phone said her name was Raven she was extremely rude and made me feel really stupid about what I was asking about. The supervisor who said her name was Brittney, took over the phone call and apologized for her employees behavior and answered all of my questions without making me feel stupid. Thanks to your kind supervisor I got all of the information I needed and ended the call with a few laughs.

With a couple colors and a vague "puffy bottom", the woman there was able to find the exact dress my daughter was looking for. From there, we paid the $50 deposit (understandable due to the cleanliness of people entering the store) and she assisted my daughter with the dress fitting. Once we chose a dress, she took quick measurements and had us come back later with the straps adjusted correctly and the dress steamed. The only problem I saw with this store is its location. If they were a stand alone store, they wouldn't have to worry about people just wondering through their store without seriously planning on buying anything. While we were there, three girls with food and drinks (one with ice cream) came in and gave attitude when the owner informed them that they couldn't walk around with food and drinks, even offering the counter as a place to put it while they looked. Overall, this is where we will be shopping for every formal gown and probably most dresses as we are guaranteed a perfect fit. Price wise, it's on the low end to middle range (we paid $350 for a dress listed at another retailer for $500). The quality of the dress seems great and the service was wonderful. The cons are there were only two people working so it's best to get an idea of what you want prior to going in so it speeds up the process as they can easily become overwhelmed.

Around 1240 when I checked for the 3rd time it was opened. Same thing that others have said, all of the dressy/formal gowns were crossed off with stanchions. I had kind of assumed she just wanted to know before people were in there and be able to be helpful or tentative. Nope. I asked if I could look at those. She was very abrupt and said I needed to tell her my budget and colors I wanted to look at. And that she would choose some for me to try. WHAT? I told her I don't know what color I want. Red, blue, green, black and that I would expect to find that out by looking at dresses that caught my eye. I said I want to pick my own dress with my own knowledge of my body and not a stranger picking a few for me. It's just so weird. All I can think is they're aiming for an extremely upscale luxury type feel. But if that's the case, they need a different location with a far less crowded and cluttered look with different dresses. I'm not knocking the dresses, i'm sure there was many in there that would be perfect for dances and proms, and the like. But they're not extreme luxury brands and quality AND the shop is so packed and cluttered that it feels like a flea market so... All in all, I didn't care for the selling model, she was rude, I told her what I said above (that I'd like to pick my dress, duh) and I walked right out end of story. I don't know how they can stay in business with this business model. I doubt they will.
