1 full cut in 1/2

Stopped by Franklin today because of article in CT insider review. Grinders are huge! I bought 2 not looking at prices.$55 I was shocked until I saw the size . 2 people could share a 1/2. 2 of us finished 3/4 of 1. But the bathroom hasn't been cleaned in more than a month so im glad i visited it when i was done eating. I feel if they cant clean the bathroom how clean is the kitchen prep area . The Photo in bag is 1full grinder cut in 1/2. Hard pass for me! Go to Angelos Market in New Britain way way nicer better place. Zoom in on urinal its disgusting, place might be iconic but needs serious upgrade and cleanup!

Meatball & Sausage Combo
Mario R.

If you're craving a real grinder sandwich this is the place to go. I stopped in for a sausage and meatball grinder, and I was blown away. The bread was fresh. While the meatballs were tender and juicy. The sausage had that savory flavor. You won't leave hungry. The marinara sauce and the peppers was tasty and the melted cheese tied everything together beautifully. Staff was friendly and quick, I'll definitely will be back!

Turkey Breast Grinder

Very disrespectful people behind the counter the man and the lady with the blonde hair. They were just talking rude to the customers . We ordered 2 turkey sandwiches then someone else wanted one so we added another one the lady got an attitude because of that. They gave us the last bit of the lettuce in the bowl I asked for more lettuce and she got an attitude. I was like no worries they won't ever have to worry about me spending money in the restaurant ever again. Lettuce was shredded and mixed with whole lettuce. Lettuce was ugly This definitely went to the trash cause why the bread look like something nibbled off it. I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN HERE. They act like they serving a 5 star meal it's cold grinders you selling.

Chicken cutlet grinder

Ordered a full chicken cutlet grinder and this is what I received. What has happened to Franklin giant grinder? I am in complete and utter shock. This is ridiculous. Forget the fact that this is the filthiest restaurant I have ever been in. I can't believe that I will never be going back to Franklin Giant Grinder again, it's kind of sad.

Turkey and Provolone Cheese half grinder

High quality meats and cheeses with Italian sauces and their hot dishes are the traditional Italian pasta you have been craving. The portions are huge, a half grinder is the size of full grinder anywhere else. Service is fast and friendly, they welcome everyone.

one meat ball

I took out lunch from here. Everything was huge. A half sandwich is good for 2 people. Their meat ball is all beef and is very popular. Also really big. I took a side of a single meat ball. It was really good. Chicken and beef sandwiches were also very good.

Two Halves of Half Grinders. Roast Beef and Capicola.

The food is good and the portions are enormous. There is usually a long line, but it's worth the wait.

Excellent beef cutlet grinders. The whole is giant to say the least. Rustic interior but that's not what you're in there for.

"Rose darling come to me All I ask of you…read moreIs make my wildest dreams come true" (Steely Dan) You probably don't need a PHD in linguistics to surmise that the Italian words "La Rosa" translates into the English words "The Rose". And if your wildest dreams happen to revolve around Italian comfort foods and well stacked sandwiches, well, do I have a place to make those wildest dreams come true for you! La Rosa is your quintessential Italian deli with dozens of grinders, paninis, wraps, salads, soups and a daily hot bar of pasta and chicken entrees. We ordered a grilled Panino Melenzani ($12) with eggplant, tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil and olive oil. It was grilled right in front of our eyes, so it was as fresh as could be. It had plenty of tender sliced eggplant, yummy cheese and fresh tomatoes. I went with my usual, an Italian Combo (half size for $14) stacked a mile high with Ham, Turkey, Genoa, Mortadella, Capicola, and Provolone with lettuce, tomato, onions, and peppers on a fresh loaf of Italian bread. It was superb, and the portion size was so generous that it lasted me for three lunches. As we were paying, we spied some home-made cookies by the register and grabbed an oatmeal and a chocolate chip to take home. Everything ran $32 for a ton of wonderful Italian goodness. We didn't get a chance to check out the hot bar. It wasn't open today because LaRosa's Marketplace was closing early for personal reasons. But I promise you, the next time we visit we'll leave with one of their chicken or pasta entrees. We love our Italian delis, and LaRosa's has immediately shot up into our top tier.

I was an MGG guy back in the day. Very good sandwiches. Good other options. Friendly service, but a multi-year closure warrants a fresh look. For starters, the renovated space is way nicer than I remember. Lots of wood. Modern feel. You're going to be impressed if you were an old customer. Service was very good and attentive. You feel a pride in the re-opening and the fact that the OG family is there means everything. I ordered an 8 inch Italian combo and a re-heated slice of pepperoni pizza. The slice was good. It's hard for a re-heated slice to really stand out though. They have a gorgeous brand new pizza oven and pizza menu btw. My Italian Combo was just like I remembered. Fresh cut ham and salami. Lots of veggie toppings like lettuce, tomato and hot peppers. Mayo. Salt and pepper. Oil and vinegar. Fresh bread. Very Good stuff. MGG is back! And I feel a little better about the world. 4.25 Stars

The only bad thing about this place is that it's not open later!…read more I went here one time with some coworkers when we were on a break for lunch in the area, and I think about it often! Everything here is fantastic, but my recommendation is the three squared. The cutlet is fantastic and the mix of the red peppers with the arugula and cheese is delicious! It just hits the spot.

Cove Deli was the only place that I hadn't already tried that I would try. Selection made. Cove Deli is located in what could be a charming grey multi-level residence towards the far north side of the Silas Deane in Wethersfield. It's sign is grey/blue and looks like it would be obscured by the shade for some of the day. Guess that's why I never noticed. They serve things such as breakfast sandwiches, coffee, burgers, salads, lunch sandwiches and prepared meals for home consumption. The inside was well-cared for and decorated in a manner fitting the nice exterior of the building. I would be comfortable eating there, although I'm still mostly in takeout mode. I ordered something I usually only order in Manhattan - an everything bagel with lox, red onion, tomato, capers and cream cheese. Cove Deli promptly answered my call, and my order, which Cove Deli calls "Lox on a Bagel", was ready when I arrived about 10 minutes later. Service was friendly. The "Lox on a Bagel" was decent, but is a couple of steps down from the best New York places that I've tried. The ingredients were all fine, but there were no real standouts. I would definitely return to try something different at the Cove Deli, but I prefer other places in the area for bagels. Three Stars
