Great location, about 3 blocks from the northern escalator at Du Pont Circle. Plenty of room to spread out, it was just my wife and I but 6 could get cozy in here and 4 could be comfortable. TV, free wireless internet, excellent location and a pleasant hostess. The basement apartment is self sufficient, so we did not have the "bed and breakfast" experience of sharing, but that's OK for us.. We had our own full bath, our own exterior entrance, etc. Rates vary, but this was such a better deal than any hotel room, how can you go wrong?

Our host, Dana, was very friendly and, since our sight-seeing plans were kind of up-in-the-air, gave us lots of good advice on places to go and things to see. The room was really cute and clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable -- one of those adjustable tempurpedic mattresses. I'm not sure if every room has one or if it was just our room, but it sure made it hard to want to get out of bed. There is free wi-fi and continental breakfast downstairs in the morning. This place is a great alternative to the pricey hotels around DC -- it has a private, relaxing feel and yet is close enough to the Metro that it is also pretty convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

The bed was so comfortable that we didn't want to get up and leave each day!! George was a wonderful resource on how to navigate the City. We had wonderful conversation with the proprietors and the other guests and when we wanted privacy it felt better than being at home! This place is a gem and we can't wait to get back there!!

The place is outside of the bustle of DC in a quiet neighborhood but is easy to get to from the city. Also parking is ample on the street (and free! You won't find that downtown). We booked 2 rooms with them and we stayed on the 3rd floor of the house. The rooms were beautifully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We loved the shower and the multi jets! You can tell Jorge and David put a lot of love and hard work into their place. It's so cool that the house has a Hawaiian/island feel (very appreciated after spending time in the city). We were all amazed at the breakfast Jorge whipped up! That morning there were biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, cold cuts and cheese as well as fresh juice, coffee and Jorge made eggs to order. You would have to pay big bucks for a breakfast like this somewhere else so this adds a huge value to the stay! We loved chatting with the other guests staying there (2 other couples) and Jorge and David! At the end they gave us leis and we all took a picture in front of the house. Malolo is a special oasis in DC and we are so happy we found them!

When the Woodley Park Guest House livingsocial deal came up, we did a bit of research on the place and then decided that it sounded like a greta place to stay. This B&B is ranked #2 in DC on tripadvisor's website (#1 is owned by the same company) and I can totally see why they have such excellent ratings. The B&B is exactly what I was looking for. Right on a metro line (red about a block away, unless you take the elevator which is even closer) and had a number of things to do within walking distance. We arrived around 3pm on a Thursday and checked in and was given a quick tour of the place. Our room was the bay window room on the second floor. It was quite nice. After we checked in we went for a stroll around the zoo (three blocks up the road on the right). Then headed down towards Dupont Circle and got some great coffee (Filter) and some gelato! Then took the metro back. Everything was extremely clean and the staff was super helpful. We spent every night out on the porch drinking some wine (part of the livingsocial deal) and people watching. This is in a very safe part of town and all around nice. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area! My only complaint is that the boy and I like to sleep in and the walls are pretty thin so we could hear other guests knocking on the doors and talking, but that was a very minor issue.

Comparing the value, quality, and location across other Georgetown properties - this place is a hand's down winner! Few points: 1. Comfortable bed, clean room. Locks 10 and 11 seem like they would be the best choice, other locks have common doors just outside your door, so you hear everyone coming / going and getting coffee, etc. 2. Nice little two-person outdoor patio set outside lock #10, very nice for sharing a night cap. 3. Others have commented about the absence of staff, I do agree this is off putting but everything seemed to work with a little 'figuring out'. 4. For example, checking in at the ATM like machine, which takes a $100 deposit - and provides a numerical key code to your room. It was unclear to me that code ALSO opens the front door just to the right of the ATM, and whether that door was the common entrance. 4a. Another reviewer also mentioned their deposit took longer than they expected to be refunded, I was surprised to see the deposit move to a charge vice dropping from 'pending charges', took the full 5 days to credit after I called - expect a delay, the refund is not instant. 5. On the coffee machine, it defaults to a 6oz pour. Override that and select 10oz - that fills the cup entirely and doesn't waste the Keurig grounds in the capsule. 6. Location could not be better, don't miss dinner at Clyde's or a dessert to go from Filomena's (Turtle and Strawberry cheesecakes are spectacular, all made in house). 7. Common area kitchen has a full size refrigerator with 11 labeled bins, each for a lock - nice to be able to chill a bottle of wine or other items as needed. Would stay again, thank you Georgetown House!

Sure, the location and the price might seem decent at first glance, but I wouldn't suggest staying here. The photos tell the story better than I could. Stained chairs, scuffed-up walls, and furniture that's long past its prime. The shower head was mounted too low, and it looked like it came from a local store. To top it off, the bed sheets had a small blood stain when I checked in, which is completely unacceptable. The front desk staff were a mixed bag. They were pleasant and helpful when I first arrived, but the next day it felt like I was bothering them just by asking a question about some bottled water they provide to guest. The parking is very easy and accessible to the casino. The stores are fun and the restaurants look great. The atrium is beautiful and I was lucky enough that it was Lunar New Year themed when I visited. The rooms are quite nice and very clean, plus they are spacious. Bed is comfortable and the shower is great. Climate control worked well. It was an enjoyable stay and I would stay here again. The spa was fine, but more on that under separate cover. For food, I ate at the National Market (food court), from both Zizi's Pizza and Noodle Bar, both of which were fine, and I'd eat at again. I also ate at the Bellagio Patisserie, which was good--I liked my flatbread and latte for breakfast, along with my dessert. Room service was enjoyable, as I ordered a very delicious chicken tender and tots meal. I'm not a casino person but I do enjoy walking through one and MGM has a fun vibe. I was hoping to try Blossom during one visit, but it did not open in time. We had drinks in the lobby bar, which is well-appointed and lively with delicious cocktails and great service. We also had drinks at Osteria Costa, but service was not great. The website/app leaves much to be desired. I could not find all needed information and opening times for restaurants and stores were incorrect, which is bewildering and causes one to wonder what else management is overlooking. Staff is super friendly and helpful though, and I am looking forward to returning.

The place is clean, modern, and just has that polished feel from the moment you walk in. There's a lot going on too. You've got the casino floor, restaurants, bars, and different spots to just hang out. Whether you're there to gamble or just walk around, there's enough to keep you entertained. The food options are strong. You've got a mix of higher end restaurants and more casual choices, so it works for different moods. The crowd is a mix too. You'll see people dressed up for a night out and others just coming through to relax a bit. It keeps the atmosphere balanced. The casino itself is big, with plenty of machines and tables. Even when it's busy, it still feels manageable. Parking is usually easy with the garage, which helps a lot considering how popular the area can get. Only downside is it can get expensive quick, whether it's food, drinks, or gaming, so it's something to keep in mind. Overall, it's a good place to spend a night out. Nice environment, plenty to do, and an easy spot to enjoy whether you're going all out or just stopping by.
