We hired this company to remove several trees from our property. They came to do the job shortly after a light snowfall and the ground was covered with melting snow. The crew arrived (without the owner--which was fine, except it seemed like the crew was definitely not the A-team). First of all, the workers used a mini Cat tractor, which we have never ever seen used to remove trees before--and we've have more than a dozen trees removed over the last three years. These guys destroyed our yard. They drove over way more than was necessary, and absolutely ripped up the yard. In addition, they were extremely reckless--at one point, they were removing a very large, very high tree branch--without roping it off first--they cut the branch and it pummeled our next door neighbors bushes. The branch landed on their property, terrifying their children who were at the window when this happened. The workers cleaned up the bushes, removed the branches, so luckily no lasting damage was done. However, when removing the large branch, one of the workers used the tractor and came within inches of side-swiping our deck. I have honestly never experienced anything like this before, it was actually shocking to watch these people completely destroy our yard. Especially because it had taken us several years to get grass growing. We did not have the money to have someone come in and lay down sod for us--we planted seed, aerated the ground, watered diligently, etc. It was a long process because when we moved into the house the entire yard was full of weeds--mostly gout weed. I include these details so that you might understand just how traumatic this experience was for us. We were left to helplessly watch these reckless workers run over our entire yard, reducing it to mud. So, we did talk to the owner, and he sent more workers to our house the next day--and the guy he sent was NOT happy with us. He barely spoke to us. They cleaned up the yard, but this was February. A month later, it still looks like a construction site. So now we've been left with a muddy yard until the warmer weather arrives. In the meantime, we have no yard access whatsoever--we actually put up a temporary fence around the worst area (3/4 of the backyard). We are unable to let our dog out into the yard to run around--oh, the other thing is they also damaged our electric fence--which was fixed, and the amount removed from our final bill. Last year we put up a fence, and also installed an electric fence. Why? Because we wanted to be able to let our dog out in the yard whenever he wanted to go out. Well, now we can't even let him off the leash in our own yard. We paid Parenti (after requesting the bill multiple times) because we did'nt want to have to deal with company one more day. I have never left a negative review before, but this experience was so awful that I would really hate if someone else had to go through what we did. Through this entire ordeal, the owner was civil and understanding. He apologized, BUT, not one time did he bother to even come to our property. He just sent his guys. When you are a homeowner and you don't have endless funds to spend on your home--it is devastating when something you worked so hard for is just destroyed in such a callous manner. We live on a busy road, so my three young kids only have their yard to play in, which they will have to wait until Summertime to enjoy. I am truly appalled by the behavior of the workers, and the response of the owner. I would NEVER consider doing business with this company again. I would only explain this entire experience as traumatic and devastating. read more
