At no point did the crew inform me that anything had been damaged. I only discovered the issues afterward, which came across as both unprofessional and avoidable. This lack of communication made the situation even more frustrating. In addition, several heavy items in my yard were moved during the process and not returned to their original positions, creating unnecessary inconvenience. There was also a very large branch that was cut and fell a few days later that was not removed during the work completed. This could have fallen on my small child or dog. These details may seem minor, but they reflect a larger issue: the job was completed in a sloppy and careless manner, without the level of thoroughness I expected. I did bring these concerns to management/owner (Matt) but the response I received was dismissive and did not show a genuine willingness to address the damage or take accountability. Offering to trim a damaged plant was not an acceptable resolution and then stating "it should help the plant" show lack on my concern. My advice to others is to get his initial quote in writing - I did not and took his word that he would remember. I called and asked him to return and fix the mess and I haven't seen or heard from him since. It's been about a month and nothing from Mr Garcia. Next time I'll just call the real pros and just pay the cost instead of trying to work with these small local guys who really don't know what they're doing. I'm subtracting one star because they left several large limbs sheared off with excess bark exposed, which can harm the tree and attract insects and disease. Additionally, they could be more consistent about using lawn mats under heavy equipment to protect grass.
