Ryan was outstanding. Fast, responsive, and fair in pricing. Yes, removing bamboo is expensive, but so is replacing a pool if the bamboo comes up through the bottom. We had a plan to slowly clear some land over time, but Ryan came in with a timeline and price that every other local company with the resources couldn't even compete with. Worst company ever. Neighbor was using them, they parked their bucket truck in our yard to reach neighbors tree when we were away. They left deep tracks. I called, they were supposed to come and fix them. Nothing. I called a week later, the girl said they wouldn't be doing anything. Our neighbors filled them in. BBB wouldn't file anything because we didn't hire them. Plus he ran his truck and turfed someone's yard shortly after our issue with them. RUN - AWAY FROM THEM. read more

Gallo Tree Service left me with minor property damage after routine tree trimming, left it unaddressed for over a month, and would not return my calls. In fairness, their tree trimming work and advice was excellent, which makes the lack of customer service all the more disappointing. I discovered a hole in my deck, big enough to step through, after Gallo had been trimming a tree in my yard. No one called to claim responsibility. After a week of leaving messages, I got Ryan Gallo on the phone. He admitted they did cause the damage, and planned to return to repair it. I agreed. Weeks passed and nothing was done. Again, I contacted them and got no response. I was left to assume they had decided not to do the repairs. I sought out an estimate from another contractor, expecting to pay out of pocket. One week later, Gallo's office called me and hung up before I could answer. I called back. Apparently they started dialing to collect payment, but remembered they hadn't fixed my deck yet. Yes, they had the materials, and were sorry it was taking so long to schedule. So why ignore my calls and allow me to suspect the worst? Ultimately, Gallo repaired my deck about 7 weeks after the damage. Certainly accidents and delays happen, but the customer needs to be informed and kept aware of what's happening. So much stress and hassle could have been avoided. read more

I ordered 1/2 cord of what I was assured was well seasoned oak firewood. What was delivered might have had a couple pieces of oak and was so fresh it wouldn't burn. The wood looked like scrap pieces, not split firewood. I called several times and left messages. Gallo will not pick up my calls nor will the return them. The owner has no honor. read more

Very unprofessional with poor communication and very poor customer service: -do not return phone calls nor e mails -Had to resort to texting which resulted in mis understanding of terms of work to be performed -after removal of 3 trees, left a mess in our driveway which took them 3 days to return to clean up. ( They did apologize for this) -contracted for additional work to clean up yard from massive piles from stump grounding: removal of roots, spread of top soil and grass seeding, ( and removal of wood pile which was misunderstood and never completed). Top soil spreading did not remove all ruts left from machines and contained a vine weed which has now taken over the complete area. Have contracted with another company to correct as Gallo refuses to return calls nor respond to e mails with pictures. After spending $2625, I would expect the courtesy of some kind of response. Best to go with more reputable company which in the end would have been more economical and far less aggravating! read more

part of tree fell on my house after a storm. i got an estimate from this company which was higher than another company but i was ok with it because start date was sooner. after agreeing to the work i checked website and there was a discount offer for which i was eligible. it was never mentioned to me during consultation but i figured i would just call and it shouldn't be a problem especially since it was the same day. i was wrong. gallo would not honor the offer at all. it was on the website plain as day. he acknowledged the information i had seen was present but said website was wrong and that there would be no discount. i immediately cancelled the work request. i couldn't believe he wouldn't honor what he had himself advertised on his own site. even after i cancelled the work i checked the site again and offer was still there apparently he had something against giving it to me. i took my business elsewhere. read more
