We had tree damage several times after storms and finally decided to take down this tree. Rob and his team were very professional and had given a fair price. Days later I decided to ask them to remove 7 overgrown shrubs. Contacted Rob, told him issues including concerned husband, sent photos. I wasn't planning to do the work this year, but Jordan offered me a very attractive price (lowered the offered price 3 times) in order to get the job. The crew showed up on time at the agreed upon date. This vendor had previously done work for me with no problems on a prior job and I was expecting everything to go smoothly. I even referred them to my neighbor who hired them for some additional work to be done while they were onsite at my house. Unfortunately, there was a disagreement about what 2 large branches were supposed to be trimmed on a large oak tree. I did not get the work done that I had agreed upon with Jordan. I needed a large branch removed that was in danger of falling on my neighbor's shed. That had been discussed at length with Jordan and was the primary reason for the job. A different and much smaller branch was removed instead. Stump grinding was part of the job and that part was completed as agreed. The stump grinding equipment was left in my neighbor's driveway and a truck came to pick it up. The truck drove across my lawn. This was really not necessary since the equipment was parked in a driveway and easily accessible without driving across my lawn. This is not a big deal for me (my lawn is ok) but some folks do get upset about this stuff. Misunderstandings about which branches were to be trimmed can happen. However, I don't feel that they really cared to try and resolve the issue with a reasonable compromise in good faith. Poor attitude. I paid them in full for taking down a different branch and will now have to hire another vendor to finish the job. This vendor is no longer welcome on my property. If you do use this vendor, make sure you get each branch clearly marked. read more

I was supposed to get a free estimate but then an employee there asked me to pay $50 so I cancelled the free estimate. I then started to receive nasty derogatory messages from this employee. This was not only unprofessional but just wrong on so many levels. I highly recommend C&R Tree Service! A moving truck hit a tree in our yard tearing down several branches and leaving it in the road without cleaning up. We called C&R and they were here within 15 minutes to cut up the tree and move it out of the road, and had the tree cleaned up within a couple hours. Very fast and professional service! read more

C&R Tree Service is one of the most unprofessional "Businesses'" I have ever dealt with. The worst part I did not even hire this clown Rob to do work at my house. He did work at my neighbors house. The crew was very respectful and specifically asked if they could access the adjacent property (my neighbor) through my driveway and yard. I politely declined because my driveway is new and the yard was soft from rain. The crew leader acknowledged the decline of access and went about his day. The next day when I arrived home from work and there were many ruts and yard damage to my property from the tree trucks cutting through my lot. I called Rob (owner) and explained the situation asking him to come out and fix my yard since his company damaged it after I said they could not use my property for access. He indicated he would be out the following day to review the damage and call me when he was on his way. Of course the next day come with no call and no show. I called several times and left messages / test message with no response. Then, like a coward, he blocked my number from his cell phone and has not made contact since. Now I am left with a damaged yard an no way to contact this coward of an owner. No accountability or ownership. Rob - you messed up, it happens, be a man and fix your mistakes. Unprofessional. Complained about about service and was told by owner to stop micro managing and stay in my lane.

Gave the company 10k to trim 3 trees and remove one they said was diseased. Cost included $500 to grind the stump. Just over a week ago. No mention of additional cost to remove the grindings and didn't see that 'fine print' until reviewing the contract for about the 5th time. Addendum stated "remove all wood and debris" which led me to believe they would clean up the grindings. Left a HUGE pile of stump grindings in my backyard in addition to the ruts. I'm a little worried about what's underneath all that. The owner also, per my neighbor, said he was working for Delmarva in order to use their yard for the crane. Left a big hole in their yard from the crane. They're pressing trespassing charges. Now I have to hire someone to clean up the mess they left. Will never use this company again! read more

Rob, the owner came out the same day to check out the job and give me an estimate. His estimate was significantly less than the other guys, so I gave him the job. The work crew was quick, courteous and hard-working. They were careful to avoid damaging my yard, and cleaned up everything perfectly. They did remove our fallen / dead trees, and even our fence when we asked, so for that we are grateful. The owner is polite, but communication could be better: we never knew when they were coming, or when they were coming back as they left their equipment in our yard. They also destroyed the yard by trawling through it right after a downpour, leaving deep, long, and lasting furrows (to say nothing of the drainage pipe they cracked, oil spill on the concrete, etc.). The agreement we signed warned us, to be fair, but my neighbors didn't sign that, so it was particularly bad form to rive deep ruts in their yard, too, without asking either us or them. Will likely have to re-grade the ground come spring, so I am not sure C&R is on our short list these days. read more

They are awful. We had 2 pine trees removed in the spring and they replaced them with 2 small 2-3 foot trees after talking about putting in 6-7 foot replacements. That is fine but they did not deduct anything from the bill. They will only replace this tiny little pine tree for 'cost'. They are untrustworthy, unprofessional and do not stand behind their work even a little. Would give minus 10 stars if I could. Avoid at all costs!!!!!! They suck!! read more

5 months ago I hired C & R Tree Service to do some trimming for me. They were very reasonable and did a fantastic job. Recently I had some tree storm damage so I hired them again to clean it up. I had a maple tree that need to be taken down. During the tree removal process my shed roof was damaged. They refused to repair it, costing me about $300 to repair the roof and $1000 to re-shingle the shed roof. After this experience I would NOT recommend them. read more

I live in Newark, DE. sorry the name says Spring Hill FL. We contracted with C&R to remove one large tree. Our neighbor agreed to have 4 of his trees removed by C&R. I signed an invoice for $3200.00 and gave him $500.00 deposit, to remove our one tree on October 27, 2022. All 5 trees were to be accessed in our neighbors yard. C&R said it may take a crane to remove it and also there were honey bees in our one tree. He would remove it November 18, 2022. for $3200.00 They did not show up on Nov.18 because the ground was soft. The trees were still not removed as of early December. We inquired again and again when the work would happen. Over a month after signing, Rob said he needed another $1000.00 to do the work. There was no conversation about adding cost to the invoice after the deposit of $500.00 on Oct 27. Rob said he would return our deposit! Then we had to contact another Tree service company on December 9 to do the work. It had been a few days, so we called Rob to see where our deposit was. Rob said, he would not return our deposit because he came out several times and would have to go rent a crane etc. etc. Rob of C&C had given an accepted estimate, under a $500.00 deposit and never performed any work. Never had any discussion of more money than contracted for. Now refuses to return Our deposit. The New Tree Service Co. contracted to do all the work and performed a beautiful job the following Tuesday. No crane needed, and plywood covered the damp ground. all done in under a week from contract to completed. Do not use C&R or give them any money till they finish work. They took my $500. promised to return it and then refused to give it back. bad bad karma! read more

A tornado came through the area and thankfully we were only affected by a tree from our neighbors property falling down... but it was over our driveway! So now we're STUCK and we had to pick up our kids from school in a few hours. After wasting our time calling who we thought could be responsible parties- neighbor, homeowners insurance company, and getting nowhere. We reached out to a neighbor that referred us to this lifesaver. Keep his number handy and here is why. We call, tell him the story, his team is already out on another job where the tree fell into the people's house , but he is able to come right over, bring his chainsaw?? and says he can get us out in 15 minutes. Well he wasn't lying. He cut it up, picked it up, and threw them to the side. Whew! Our day was saved. A couple days later and his team came with some other equipment, a mulcher, backed it up nicely into the driveway and were done in....15 minutes! Amazing. He's a vet & takes credit cards! This company was hired to do some tree service in my yard. They showed up about half an hour before dark and continued with the work. They did not complete the dead wooding per my request, they did not cut down the limbs to manageable sizes (neither of which I could see when they finished as it was DARK!). By the light of day, I discovered that the stockade fence in my back yard was damaged and there is hole in my porch roof where a limb fell that they cut. Rob Patton has refused to return multiple phone calls and emails. Do NOT use this company. read more

I paid $3k, request to "remove two tree and roots from front yard, and keep some small pieces in the backyard for fireplace". On his note book, he wrote: "Remove Elm Front yard Remove Oak Front yard $3000 leave Wood". They cut the trees, leave one stump 39 inches (more than 3 feet high), one 23 inches, all woods (some not cut through) in our front yard (except small branches), damaged lawn, and uncleaned field. We found C&R Tree Care as a firewood source on Craigslist. The posting was for a cord of locust wood. Sure the price was pretty high, at $285/cord, but we're willing to pay for premium firewood and needed a delivery on the next day. C&R was called on Friday evening and scheduled a delivery for 08:30 on Saturday, the following day. It was communicated to Rob that the wood would be stacked into a 4'X4'X8' stack to verify that a cord was received, as that is what was advertised and for which payment was to be made. He said that if it didn't measure up, he'd make it right. Rob showed up on time and dumped the wood with his dump trailer right where we asked. After the firewood was stacked, it was a little more than a cord, so we felt better about the payment vs the product and quantity received. He was very professional and later, it was found that the locust also contained osage orange wood. For those not familiar with osage orange, it's the highest output of BTUs of any hardwood in the Northeast region. It literally crackles and spits hot embers as soon as placed into a fire. We hope to purchase a couple more cords of locust/osage orange for next year, from Rob at C&R Tree Care. Thanks Rob! Dean and Cindy C. read more

These guys knocked on my door after the ice storm that dropped branches on my house and throughout the yard a couple of weeks ago. Told me that the broke branches would cause my trees to eventually get diseased so they needed to be taken care of. Also said the company takes care of veterans. We scheduled the work for Saturday but Rob calls Friday and says they can start the work early and finish saturday. Rob then calls back around 7:30 and says the work is done where can he meet to get paid. I was out to dinner but Rob kept calling until I agreed to meet him at the bank because he needed half the money in cash. I paid him after waiting at wawa for 20 minutes and he told me to call if i there was something i wasn't happy with. I did call and Rob still hasnt called me back. The tree closest to the house still has branches that were snapped off and not addressed. It also still has brances hanging over the house that were supposed to be trimmed back. I told him he had a bad business practice then and now out really stinks because i will have to pay to finish the work they failed to do. I won't even address the failure to clean uo properly. read more
