For a number of years, I've had issues with dark circles and some hallowing under my eyes. After…read moredoing a good amount of research, I decided to move forward with scheduling an appointment at The Naderi Center in Chevy Chase MD, with Dr. Kulak. I had fillers injected into my tear troughs in 2019 and I was very pleased with the results. I returned to the Naderi Center in March 2023 to refresh my eyes before my birthday. Needless to say, I am once again very pleased with Dr. Kulak. She was able to quickly assess and determine what was needed to give my tear troughs a nice refresher. I especially appreciate that Dr. Kulak simply gives me what I need, and doesn't place too much volume in my troughs. As an aside, I know a few people who have (at least in my opinion), too much volume from their fillers and it doesn't look natural. Since I like the natural look that Dr. Kulak provides, I will be returning, when the filler dissolves and I need another refresher. The actual procedure took a very short time, but the great results were immediate. I have always been told that i look very good for my age, but the injections took at least 5 years off and makes me look as though I get plenty of sleep each night (which I don't). As an added bonus, I did not have any real bruising from the injections. If you are thinking about getting fillers in your tear troughs, I definitely recommend Dr. Kulak. It may seem like a simple procedure, but whenever one gets fillers or undergoes any medical procedure, it's always best to go to a very skilled physician, who can give you the results that you want. Overall, it was a great experience. Regarding the office staff... The main office staff is very professional and polite, but if I could offer any advice, I would tell the assistant (who numbed my tear troughs), not to harp on the pricing with patients. I'm not sure if that is an office policy and part of her job, but I received the information ahead of time, from the office, via text (which included the latest pricing for services/procedures). The assistant who numbed my tear troughs mentioned that the price went up and it wasn't the same price that I paid in 2019. I was aware that the price went up and didn't care. It was a non issue for me, but I did not appreciate her belaboring the point, especially since I had not asked her any questions about the pricing.

While my profile improved, I developed significant structural and breathing issues. My nostrils are uneven, with one higher and more curved, and I have near-complete obstruction on the left side due to middle vault collapse. The nose also collapses toward the right with weak cartilage support. Despite multiple follow-ups, my concerns were dismissed as swelling. Two ENTs and several plastic surgeons have since confirmed nasal valve collapse and structural weakness.

I started out by trying a surgeon that a family member recommended, and before I could even make…read morean appointment I was told that the only way the surgeon would even have a consultation with me was if I went to physical therapy for a minimum of 3 months as a prerequisite. I told them I had physical therapy in the past, but they didn't want to hear it. I tried to explain that along with therapy, I did massages, and lost a significant amount of weight. I initially thought this is how it was going to be for all doctors just trying to get a consultation. After months of continuously putting off research I finally called my Insurance company (CIGNA) and asked what I needed to do to get a breast reduction. They simply told me to find a plastic surgeon in network. I had to go through literally hundreds of doctors on the Cigna website. I further researched each doctor through their own personal sites and compared reviews, their qualifications, etc. I finally came across doctor Benhaz Fayazi! I don't recall her having bad review and I saw that she was double board certified! An even bigger plus was she was a woman. I looked up as many reviews about her and her affiliations and I was pleased enough to set up an appointment. The day of my first consultation I was so nervous, and I couldn't believe I was even getting a consultation for a breast reduction. I kept the mind set that it was for a healthier me. I met Dr. Fayazi her presence and the way she was so confident in her work sold me immediately. She knew what she was taking about, which eased my anxiety. When she submitted my information to the insurance company; they literally replied back in about 8 days saying I was approved for my breast reduction. Unlike the other surgeon, Dr. Fayazi actually listened to my concerns and she knew I needed help without the extra run around of therapy, etc. So I went ahead and set up my surgery with Dr.Fayazi's receptionist Ruth ; who is also freaking amazing. Ruth dealt with me with such professionalism and kindness and I know I got on her damn nerves. Another great thing is she stayed on top of getting my FMLA/ Disability paperwork done in the appropriate timeframe. I also respect that Dr.Fayazi doesn't charge her patients fees to complete FMLA or disability documents, which was a very pleasant surprise. Continuing on I had my pre op labs done with my primary physician and my pre op follow up with doctor Fayazi (mind you, this whole process took less than 2 months). My pre op with Dr. Fayazi was great to. I literally had a list of questions and she answered every single one. Again she was so knowledgeable she eased any concerns I had. I love the fact she has never ever rushed any of my appointments. She also included that during the follow up post op appointments she will also focus on scarring from the reduction, which I didn't expect. Surgery day came I was a nervous wreak. I had my surgery at Doctors Community Hospital and I was treated like a queen from beginning to end. Her surgical team was amazing. When she arrived she greeted me with a smile and drew her incision lines. I didn't feel awkward, I felt like she genuinely cared! She advised me that she would stay in the appropriate guidelines to make sure I properly heal. I mean what more can a girl ask for! She reassured me that everything was going to be fine. From that point on she told my husband she would call him after and I was done. She called and told him about how everything went. From the point of me rolling out of Pre-op the last thing I remember is me rolling over to get onto the operating table, then LIGHTS OUT! I don't recall counting, I don't recall no one saying anything I just woke up in recovery 4 hours later. When I tell you I loved the fact that her surgical team snuck me with the anesthesia I was so grateful because this was my VERY FIRST surgery. When I woke up I was given pain management and my husband was able to come in. I had a little sore throat but overall not a bad experience. Now I'm only 2 days out so I can't see much but what I can say is I literally feel soooo much lighter instantly. She gives you your pain medication and antibiotics before hand, so you don't have to worry about having to sit at CVS an hour in pain. As of right now I'm pleased. There definitely is some degree of pain but I can't complain; she kept to her word and it's tolerable while on my medication regularly. I really just wanted to write this review off how I was treated. Im pretty sure the result will be just as amazing as she was to me. I would definitely recommend her services no matter what your plastic surgery needs maybe. Dr.Fayazi and her staff are absolutely amazing. I can't want until my follow up appointment. If I have any future plastic surgery needs I definitely will be returning to Dr.Fayazi.

Worst bedside manor I have ever experienced as a doctor. I had to get a mastectomy and chose to do…read morereconstruction hoping to remain looking like myself and nothing more. I told her many times that I did not want to be bigger than I was. Once it was finished and I was at my post-op she said "I had hoped to make you bigger but it wasnt safe" which shows she didnt listen to me at all and I am indeed bigger than I wanted. I have young children including a baby and work at a daycare and she had to advice about how to help prevent damage or injury with little ones. Luckily I had a nurse who was able to help with suggesting protective pillows, etc. As I mentioned I told her each time I had a baby. The whole time I was told no lifting more than 10 pounds for 6 weeks. I planned for 6 weeks to have help from family and friends. At my post-op at 6 weeks she said everything looked good. I said "Ok so I can lift my 25 lb baby now" She said no, you want to wait 3 more months to lift that much weight. I said "Thats something you should've told me before." She rudely replied "Would that have changed anything?" YESSSS I wouldnt have done this part of it! Luckily I have had 4 cousins who have gone through reconstruction (with different doctors) and each of their doctors said 4-6 weeks and then they could lift their children, babies, costco groceries, etc. No one ever said 3 months, she is just afraid of being sued. Not to mention, one of my breasts is dented a bit. Would NOT recommend.

Reshaping my nostrils was done to give me a more afrocentric appearance which I thought was strange until I was sent by Dr Porter to another doctor who gave me a speech on Black Pride. I am biracial Black and just wanted to fix a nose that was broken twice and never repaired in the United States Air Force. The original request was to stabilize and refine the tip of my nose. Unfortunately I ended up with a poor result with permanent rhinitis and headaches, uneven nostrils and a pug nose that requires over $20k to revise. I use fillers to get enough projection to wear eyeglasses every two years. I wanted to still look like part of my family. That's the greatest irony because we all identify as African American.
