Below are some highlights from my experience: - Initial appointment w/ Dr. Brown: Overall it was an ok appointment. I had to ask how much the treatment he had planned was going to be (this was my first time getting botox and filler). No before and after photos were taken (I requested for ones be taken of my nose so I could see the difference). Majority if not all practices take before and after pictures to show the patient what was done and to show the results (patient satisfaction). Additionally, I never signed a treatment plan- that is unheard of. I consider this a liability for your practice! o No f/u appointment was scheduled. I currently work in a hospital and have worked in a clinical office AND have friends who work in plastics and they were all surprised when a 2 week f/u appointment was not offered or scheduled. These appointments are scheduled to f/u with the patient and see how they feel about the results and if needed do "touch-ups" as a courtesy. o I had to request to schedule my next botox appointment (end of October) the reception did not even ask me or suggest it. Time to check out I was asked to pay ~$1,260.00 I was surprised and told the receptionist I thought this was a courtesy visit. She stated initial appointment as in July and the touch up timeframe had passed. I told her it is because this was his soonest appointment. She stated she spoke with you to see if you could do anything regarding my situation. Below are the requests I stated: I thought this appointment was considered a touch-up appointment. I met Dr. Pamela Tan after a horrible car accident that damaged a part of my face. She came into the ER and kept me calm and told me what was going on. I had to have surgery immediately to clean out the wounds and stitch it up properly. She did an amazing job, especially after what I gave her to work with! I've since had a revision surgery with her in her office in Chevy Chase. She performed the revision surgery with only local anesthesia, which I was amazed that I literally felt nothing the entire time she was working on me. The nurses and techs played music for me in the room and kept me talking to keep my mind off what was going on. I was so nervous, but they helped me so much by just talking, I can't imagine having done this anywhere else. The first time I decided to pursue a breast reduction, it was at the behest of my breast doctor. In 2021 she saw that I was a HH and recommended Dr. BRUNO who worked out of the Glen Burnie office at the Aiello Center. In 2022, I'm a size 8/10 with ginormous 34 M breasts. I don't need Cindy Lou hoo to point this out to me. I recieved 2 consults with Dr. Bruno and each time he left me drier than a saltine cracker. He made no explanations of why he said what he said and why he recommended what he did, and he seemed rushed and dismissive each time we met. Either this man has ZERO bedside manner or he just does not want to perform the surgery, no WOMAN who knows her value would have proceeded with this doctor given my experience. Maybe "I will have to cut off your nipple and you will have no sensation but you likely don't have much sensation now given how large your breasts are. I mean their almost to your waist" plays well to the poor insurance patients but not how I would guess he panders to his Chevy Chase/Bethesda clients. " Wow 34M I've never seen that size before" and my favorite, "I did your consult last year. What's changed?". As I stood there and listened to comments from what I imagine is an experienced and liscensed doctor, I felt shamed. When you are a large breasted woman, you know what it feels like to have people make insensitive comments regarding your chest. To feel overtly sexualized. So to hear a doctor make these comments, it reminds me as to why i did not move forward last year after my consult. DR. BRUNO comes off as insensitive and only looking for a check. Insurance breast reductions are a hassle as he and his staff has reiterated several times to me. I dodnt see examples of his work even though i asked. I just faced roadbloack after roadblock from a team who would not even TRY. I am not cattle or any other animal and to speak to me in such a way was completely uncalled for. BUT if you are a network provider and I clearly am in NEED of a breast reduction, I would hope that both your staff and yourself would go out of its way to help get me what I need. Not put up roadblock after roadblock as to how it could not be done. He and his staff did not educate, inform or advocate for me and as a healthcare provider, I would be sadly remiss if I treated my patients the same. This is my experience. Oh and by the way. It's a shame that because I was trying to use the health insurance that I pay thousands for each year, that covers a medical procedure that I clearly qualify for, I was so quickly dismissed. The $8000 bill for the breast reduction they pushed on me could have been covered by the 10k Carecredit card I keep in my drawer for medical extras. But those options were never presented to me because ....well someone didn't care enough to make sure I knew all of my options. From the doctor to the billing specialist. Now who takes care of their patients and doesn't make sure that they are covered? I know I did. It called informed consent. But I guess when you're too busy you skip over those parts. I had laser lipo done on my chin and stomach by Dr. Bruno. I don't agree with the negative review on him by the other user. For my first consultation I was hoping for someone who would make me feel more comfortable in my skin and maybe be a bit more jokey, but was instead was met with extreme professionalism, not rudeness. Which is not a bad thing for a doctor! Once in surgery, I spent three hours talking almost the entire time to Dr. Bruno and his assistant and they were warm and made me feel comfortable during the entire process. I got great results, which is the most important thing! I sent him and his staff a thank you goodie basket and received a hand written thank you note from the Dr. Himself which I did not expect. His staff was nothing but professional and kind, I have recommended this office and Dr. Bruno to a friend for her surgery and I would definitely recommend him to anyone else if you want professionalism, honesty, and great results. So let's start with first things first. Location: The location is nice and I usually opt for the valet parking in the garage. Sometimes I park myself and sometimes I don't. But either way there is always parking and it's usually five dollars for the first hour and then goes to nine dollars entering the second hour. It's convenient and affordable. Staff: All of the people in this office are absolutely fantastic. I cannot even begin to tell you how comfortable I feel every time I go in. I am bad at remembering names but it's doesn't matter, because no matter who greets you at the front desk you will be sure to get a genuine smile and they are so helpful. Just the most beautiful ladies inside and out. Lobby: very nice lobby/waiting area. There are tons of pamphlets with the procedures they offer and picture books of before and after photos. They are really inspiring and motivating. Also, they have little tiny bottles of water and big bowl of chocolate. I always take a chocolate when I leave. The doctors: i so far have only gotten Botox with Dr. Bruno and Botox and consultation with Dr. Brown. Both are amazing but let's get to the specifics. Dr. Bruno: He is very nice and kind. He has a bit more of a dry sense of humor but is really hilarious. If you get Botox from Dr. Bruno he likes to rub the area afterwards, I'm guessing to help the Botox settle? Feels like a nice mini forehead message to me. Haha. Very gentle. Just a really great Doctor with excellent bedside manner so to speak. Plus you get an ice pack afterwards to soothe the injection spots, this ice pack is awesome. Dr. Brown: What a guy. He is so funny and so kind. Botox with him is a little different and he is honest about whether you need more or don't. No mini forehead massage but you get the nice ice pack afterwards. Dr. Brown will be my doctor when I do finally get my surgery. I was nervous about showing myself to him because I'm pretty insecure and thought man this guy might tear me down find all my flaws and I am going to feel like I need more surgery. That could not be further from the truth of what happened. It was all very professional (of course) and I felt at no way uncomfortable. I did t even feel insecure but felt really excited after my consultation and felt assured I would get great results and that's all because of Dr. Brown's demeanor. Every interaction with him has been pleasant and comfortable. I highly recommend this doctor. Dr. Bruno and Dr. Brown are both very accomplished and I always seen they have been recognized for various awards and accomplishments. And I feel confident when Dr. Brown does perform surgery on me I will get the results I want and he will help me be the better version of the self I have always wanted. I am writing such a long review because no one I know has ever had Botox or surgery and I was very nervous that a normal plain Jane like me would have any business in a plastic surgeons office....I had no idea what to expect. I got a Living Social Deal for 3 laser hair removal sessions, and I have to say Cindy Jenkins is really great at what she does! As the other reviews have testified, she's very gentle and talks you through the entire process before starting. She is also great with following up if there were any discomforts etc with the procedure. One thing to note is that you absolutely absolutely ABSOLUTELY have to be on time for the session -- given the horrid metro system in DC this can be challenging at times. I had to call in once before my session saying I was going to be 5 minutes late and they told me I had to either cancel or reschedule. So make sure to leave enough time to arrive to the office. Only small complaint would be that the receptionists seem to be hit or miss-- some I talked to were really cold but the last time I was there the receptionist was nice. Either way always awesome to see Cindy when I leave the reception area. highly recommend her!! read more

First, let me start this review with saying this has nothign to do with Dr. Brown, his medical assistant, or even the front desk staff. They are all WONDERFUL and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The issue I have is with their biling department head, Kathy. If you any sort of insurance STAY AWAY. To make a long story short, when I had a procedure that was covered by an insurance provider they belong to, they said they wanted to stop treating me because my insurance wasn't paying them enough. First off, that is illegal. If a doctor has a contract with an insurance company they are obligated to abide by whatever payment struture was put in place. I was devasted when they turned me away for something I couldn't control i.e. how my insurance paid them. After I switched insurance, I called back to get a quote about paying for it out of pocket. The front desk kept letting me know that Kathy was "working" on it but I was the one who had to consistently follow up to try and get information. I also discussed reimbursement with my insurance provider and was told that I could reimbursed as long as I had an itemized bill. Great right? Everyone wins. Except Kathy kept giving me the run around and telling me they were "worried about getting in trouble". Mind you, my insurance (United Healthcare) assured me that my reimbursement had NOTHING to do with them and would not affect them in anyway. They were honestly shocked that this was the excuse the billing department used. They offered to give speak with her directly and explain things but it didn't matter. I followed up for 3 weeks. I was told by the receptionist "I will call you tomorrow with a final answer". Days would go by without a word....actual silence. I don't know if it is a race thing i.e if you aren't white, they don't care to serve you or what but I will NEVER go back. The funny thing is, I make well over 6 figures, live in Chevy Chase and work for a distinguished firm. PAYING OUT OF POCKET IS NOT THE ISSUE. Kathy was not respectful of my time and all patients should be treated with respect. I will eventually want to have other treatments done for cosmetic purposes that I would have been happy to do with them. Dr. Brown is amazing and if I am going to pay for a $6k procedure, there is no one I would rather give my money to. But the way Kathy handled my situation has ensured that I will NEVER go back. When I called the receptionist today I was in tears. I CRIED over the phone for the way I had been treated. I mean shaky voice and everything kind of tears. Just awful. read more

I recently bought a Groupon for Laser Hair Removal and can't say enough good things about the skincare specialist Cindy. She is a true professional and is probably one of the kindest, most patient, knowledgeable and gentle estheticians I've ever met. One of the things I liked most about her is that she explains the whole procedure and answers any questions you have. Unlike many estheticians she doesn't try to upsell you any products, rush you or make you feel uncomfortable in any way. Also she is extremely knowledgeable and honest about the procedure, when I mentioned to her that I had thyroid problems, right away she told me that laser may not be a permanent solution. I appreciated her honesty because I'm sure many other practitioners wouldn't have said anything. This was my first time doing laser hair removal and I was pretty intimidated (especially after reading all the waivers) but with Cindys gentle touch and years of experience the session was relatively painless and went quickly. Afterwards I experienced no pain and very little redness. The rest of the staff at the clinic is really great as well, especially Cara who is the patient coordinator, she is super patient and sweet and although I only met with him briefly Dr. Bruno struck me as very kind, experienced and professional. So if you're considering laser hair removal, I strongly recommend that you do it with Cindy....can't wait till my next session with her and hoping to do a chemical peel with her in the future. read more

I was referred to Dr. Pamela Tan for scar revision surgery after a head trauma. The physician in the ED where I went after the accident stopped the bleeding and sewed me up, but I was left with a rather large and very lumpy scar in the middle of my forehead. Thanks to Dr. Tan, my scar is now barely noticeable, even one week post- scar revision, and it will only get better with time. The scar is now completely flat and looks like a small cut rather than a bulls eye. I would definitely go back to Dr. Tan if I needed other procedures. read more

I showed up 10 minutes late the week before the wedding after an excrutiatingly long and delayed metro ride out there and they refused to see me, even though I offered to cut the appointment short if needed. It was difficult for me to get out there in the middle of the day and found their lack of sympathy or flexibility off-putting. I won't be going back. In addition, I have found another place that uses the laser with the intense cooling fan - it is a much less painful procedure and the results appear to be longer-lasting thus far. read more

Be very cautious when visiting this office. I went for a consultation for breast reconstruction revision. Dr. Bruno came highly recommended by a friend. The doctor was OK...a bit smug. When I tried to pay my copay at the front desk, the receptionist told me there was none, that the consultation was complimentary except for the billing to the insurance. Again I questioned not making my known copay of $30. Again I was told there would be no charge above and beyond what the insurance paid, that the balance was gratis. A couple months later, I received a bill for the $30 copay I had tried to pay. I called to speak with the person in charge of billing. She was not in so I left a detailed message with the person who did answer the phone and asked that she call me. No return call. Today I got a call to pay the bill.
