Had a consult with Dr. Feledy for breast reconstruction after a bad experience with a surgeon at Walter Reed. In requesting this consultation- I had no idea that Dr. Feledy would only provide a consult and refuse to treat/take me on as a reconstructive patient. I was approved for two appointments. The first appointment went okay, but the second appointment when I asked him to take over my care.... He told me no one in this area would operate on me because I was already operated on at Walter Reed- despite me telling him of a bad experience I had and no longer being able to trust the military surgeons. I also mentioned I was interested in perusing autologous reconstruction; Dr. Feledy's response was that no civilian practice would perform an autologous reconstruction for me because "Tricare doesn't reimburse enough." I really feel this is unethical and shows that the focus is not to help the patient- it's on the reimbursement read more

I can't say enough about Dr Felody and his staff at Belmont. I just had my second surgery with him and he did everything I wanted. He does very natural looking procedures and doesn't hold back with Lipo (which we all want) I chose this practice because I have been a medical massage therapist for 19 years and do post lymphatic massages on post op patients. Of course whenever I see a snatched, perfect result I would ask who was the surgeon. It was always Dr. Felody. They stayed in contact with me and made sure everything was good throughout my surgery and after. I highly recommend Dr. Felody as he is top notch. read more

Dear Readers...before going to Belmont please read about my experience. Should you decide to go, you will know what to watch-out for! My hope is your experience will be better then mine! In late September 2017 I had torso-liposuction and fat-grafting. I am writing at this late date as I wanted to allow some time for me to reflect on the events that happened to me. Before I wrote this review I contacted Jules Feledy by email about my issues with Nurse Tropea and issues with the results of the surgery. He never responded. So I am now left to online reviews I was bullied and shamed. Ms. Tropea questioned my mental health by asking me if I would ever be happy with my pectorals- dear readers this is where the fat grafting took place. The pectorals remains an issue that will have to be addressed Ms. Tropea attempted to talk me into believing my results where perfect. ....this approach failed so she moved to "shaming" Ms. Tropea told me to diet Ms. Tropea told me to workout, then threw her head back laughing at me and then said "just kidding" I was concerned about the small amount of pain medications I was prescribed. I told ms Tropea my about the dental work I had had in the last year and that I had been on pain meds for that. I expressed my fear that I would have developed a tolerance to pain meds. Sadly, I was right! But worse... Ms Tropea inferred that I was a drug addict by referring to other operations that are more intense and less pain killers were prescribed! - I was grossly under medicated for a man my size and for such aggressive procedure. Dr Feledy is not without talent. My results and good and bad. I hoped to work the "bad" results with the dr but on my follow up visits I was subjected to a "mental assessment" by ms Tropea So the "under medicated"/bulling/some areas of bad results/no response to my email outlining all my above concerns from the Dr. have led me here to share and prepare you with my experience. I found this spa because of a microdermabrasion bloomspot deal, and was thrilled I did. It really is more of a medical facility vs. a spa, so if you're looking for a relaxing, zen-like environment, this might not be the place for you. Erin, the woman who performed the micro derm was great-it was the best micro derm I've had yet. She was professional, knowledgeable, and best of all, I didn't feel as though she was trying to sell me something. Ask for her! I will be a return customer! read more

I do not typically write reviews, but the level of customer sercive I received today (or lack there of) was terrible. I was not properly greeted by the receptionist. When I got back into the room (20 mins after my consultation) I waited about 15-20 mins in a robe while the person who arrived AFTER me was seen by the doctor. I was there for a consulation - NOT a check up...an hour later, I politely walked out. This is a service that costs $15k or more, you have to put a little more into your customer service. read more

I interviewed at least 5 plastic surgeons in the area seeking experience and high customer satisfaction. Dr. Feledy was my choice to do a breast liift reduction and replacement from saline to silicone. I was very satisfied with our consultation and knew that he was the best to handle my breast revision. After meeting with Dr.Feledy and his OR nurse Cherie(lher exceptional client patient relationship is #1 and made me feel comfortable to speak open and honestly about all the things I was interested in)I was thrilled that Dr.Feledy agreed to improve the unwanted fat by lipo with transfer to the buttocks. Most importantly he is highly skilled and experienced and displayed full confidence to perform the multiple surgeries the same day. I've only been out of surgery 24 hiours now .I only have some discomfort and very little pain. Still swollen and bruised as I expected. However with that said I can already see the results. showed up the morning of surgery and was presented with last minute fees, this calls into question everything else they say. when discussing why this was not previously discussed the desk nurse was very rude, she "it's federal law to send out all breast tissue when there is any removal", I could not find the referenced when I searched , ask for a copy of the referenced law. she refused to provide a copy and got very snippy. If this has been discussed prior to the morning of surgery this could have been avoided. As well the demeanor of the desk nurse made the situation worse and upset me as well as my wife. Services maybe good but the personnel you hire make a big difference in how patients and their family feel. Also never spring last minute charges on someone the morning of an elected surgery that the patient is coming out of pocket for. read more

I would trust only Dr. Feledy with any aesthetic or reconstructive work. I did substantial research on the surgeons in the NoVa, DMV region and after plenty of consideration, I was very confident in going to Dr. Feledy. He's clearly skilled, experienced and honest. He's a really good man and won't sell you something that isn't needed or absolutely necessary. He did major reconstructive work on me and the results are incredible. It's been over a year since my surgery and I am thrilled. I recommend going to Dr. Feledy and importantly doing research on the local surgeons and medspas otherwise. You want the best. I had a Microdermabrasion and I loved it. Everyone at the office was so friendly and they made me feel very comfortable. The process was easy and I was in and out an on with my day. My 7 year old son was attacked by a dog and lost half of his ear. Dr. Feledy took the time to make sure my son was comfortable, and made the whole process as easy as it could be for such a traumatic event. While he sometimes does run a bit behind, you can tell it is because he takes the time with each and every patient to make sure their questions are answered, and he does not rush you during you appointment, which many doctors do these days. I am surprised by all the negative reviews and wonder if the office has made some staffing changes recently. I will admit that the woman handling the front desk seemed to disappear a lot and for long stretches (like, more than 5 minutes) at a time, but she was a delight to work with and very understanding, efficient, etc. The nurse who consulted with me initially was great, did everything right, friendly, etc. Dr. Feledy was great, very personable and accessible. It's hard to judge his skills/expertise as I've only seen him once so far (for an injury, not anything "elective"). But I was pleased overall. (I am really turned off by doctors that can't make eye contact or even take an extra 2 minutes for a little small talk/connection before they start examining you.) I suppose you should go in at your own risk - maybe I hit them on a "good" day. It would seem possible that they've made staffing changes recently though, given my positive experience. (PS-my appointment was in late February 2014 so this review is recent.) read more

Dr. Feledy is all about money, nothing less. He operated on me after a botched surgery from another surgeon. I am in worse shape than I was from my first surgery. He gave me a drug, that cause me to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks. This was an out patient surgery. Very disconcerned for your health and resents any suggestion to better his treatment. I found Dr Feledy in the Washingtonian. I had previous work done from a different PS in Reston and was soooo disappointed that I would never go back to him. The first appt I had with them was a bit behind schedule.. however, once I was seen.. he spent ALL the time I needed. I never felt rushed. I never felt like he needed to go see the next patient.. so the time I waited for him/my appt was totally worth it. The work that he did was EXCELLENT. I had a breast aug with a lift. I went from having silicone to actually having him put saline in. I had pictures on my cell that he was able to look at and determine what type of "look" I wanted. He has EXCELLENT bed side manner and has never made me feel uncomfortable. I actually feel like we are friends.. haha. The staff that he works with are SUPER friendly. Again.. feel as though we are friends.. see a pattern? YES I did not have to ever wait at the plastic surgeon in Reston.. he was always on time.. HOWEVER I 100% always felt rushed and he did crappy work! So... there is your choice folks.. you realize that you will get the best of the best but have to wait a little longer to see him (*bc we live in Northern VA and if the first patient is late.. screws ALL of us!!*) OR you can make an appt with other plastic surgeons.. have your appt on time but be unsatisfied.. ending in more time off from work, more money spent, and more pain in recovery for Dr Feledy to do it right. Dr Feledy was recommended for a small tumor removal from my 6 year old son's back. he reassured me that he sees lots of children and that his office was prepared to deal with us. he asked us to be there at 9 am so he could place a numbing cream on my sons back so he does not feel the lidocane shot. we go there at 9:05 and waited until 10 am before anyone gave us any attention. i asked the front desk lady multiple times why my son was not getting his numbing cream. she said she will get to us when she can. finally at 10 am they put the cream on, the Dr was late got to the office at 1030 and informed me that he had another little girl who had fallen and needed stitches next door but he was going to get to us first. however he was in so much rush he did not ask to see when the cream was administrated so the shot was VERY painful for my son, and he did not try to conceal the needle and my son saw the needle before the administration of lidocan which made him VERY upset. Dr Feledy was shocked that my son was so upset, for a man who claimed to understand children he should have known that a needle shot is a BIG deal to a little boy. he was very insensitive, rushed and uncaring. Dr Feledy caused more emotional and physical pain to my 6 year old that as necessary. I Strongly recommend you do NOT take your child to him. read more

I was seen by Dr. Feledy as part of an ER visit. Not only was he unprofessional, multiple sexual comments (made jokes about my birth control pills, had his zipper undone one day, etc.), he is also back-billing me out-of-network prices even though I visited an in-network hospital. I feel sorry for anyone who has the unfortunate experience of NOT CHOOSING to have Dr. Feledy as a doctor like I did. (According to his financial people, he has no problem back billing people for tens of thousands of dollars for their ER visits even when they have health insurance that covers what is reasonable and customary. Dr. Feledy's office made my 4-year-old daughter and I wait for over 1 hour to be seen. No TVs, Nothing for kids to read. When he walked in to examine her scar (she had stiches on her face in the ER which he did), he said she looked fine and we were free to go. Our actual visit was over in less than 60 seconds. My husband took my 4-year-old for her first follow-up appointment and was treated in an equally frustrating manner. read more

Dr. Feledy lacks bedside manner. He took a mole off of me when I was 8 months pregnant and when I went in to have the stitches removed he handed me the pathology report at 5 p.m. on a Friday and told me he was "pretty sure I didn't have cancer" but that he would get back to me later the next week because he was going to be very busy. As you might imagine, it sent me into an awful tailspin thinking I wouldn't be around to see the baby grow up. It was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. Stay away. read more

Dr. Feledy was our hero when he came to the ER to stitch up my daughter's facial laceration. Thank goodness for plastic surgeons like him who come to the ER to help when they are needed. His stitching looks great. I would give him 10 out of 5 stars if I could. We are so grateful to him! read more

I was very surprised to read these negative comments about Dr. Feledy; my experience with him was quite the opposite. Like JK, I met Dr. Feledy in the ER. My little finger was almost completely severed by a power saw. It was late at night, and I had to wait a few hours for him because he was performing emergency surgery elsewhere. When he got to me, it was 2 or 3 a.m. He looked tired, but despite a long surgery after a full day's work, he was professional and courteous at all time. And he saved my finger! I have complete range of motion and feeling. I, too, was concerned when I learned afterward that he was not a Blue Cross provider even though the hospital was. Like any non-participating provider, he is by definition "out of network," and his charges are not reduced to what Blue Cross considers reasonable. I am not sure what "back-billing" means, but I am an attorney and found nothing unusual or wrong about his billing practices. I do think the hospital should have given me the option to use a participating provider (and I learned to ask beforehand), but in retrospect, I am glad that Dr. Feledy was on call that night. Although I was responsible for a significant balance, I talked about it with him and he was generous in the extreme in his dealings with me. When my son needed a cyst removed, I trusted Dr. Feledy and was not disappointed. Roz M's review gives a more reasoned view of Dr. Feledy, but in her understandable concern for her son, she seems to have missed the bigger picture. She says Dr. Feledy was late that morning and was rushing and frightened her son by letting him see the needle and did not ensure that his skin was numbed before giving him a shot. Although his website focuses on his cosmetic practice, Dr. Feledy handles many emergencies, as he did for me and for JK. I suspect he was late to his office because he was at a hospital. Dr. Feledy used to share office space with a doctor I know socially. When I once joked about how easy it must be to build a cosmetic surgery practice in Chevy Chase, my friend scowled at me and said that Dr. Feledy is one of the hardest working surgeons he knows - he responds to emergencies at all hours. Because he handles so many emergencies, delay of some scheduled appointments is unavoidable. I never mind waiting, because I know I will have his full attention and he will take whatever time is required for my care. Had I been in Roz's position, and assuming the removal of her son's tumor was not an emergency, I would have asked Dr. Feledy to tend to the other child in his office (the little girl who had fallen and needed stitches) and either waited a bit more or rescheduled. Last January, I was in another ER after hitting my head on the sidewalk. I had a full-thickness wound about an inch in diameter on my forehead. After the CT scan showed no internal damage, I called Dr. Feledy who saw me in his office immediately. Today, I don't even have a scar. Dr. Feledy is, in my experience, a brilliant surgeon and a very decent man. I recommend him completely and without hesitation. read more

First of all those who are frustrated with the doc's busy schedule, the dude is running the show with a very small staff who are amazing, his work is remarkable and the staff are like a small family. Dr. Feledy is terrific and his skills are simply amazing! We first met Dr. Feledy at Suburban Hospital's emergency room. My wife had just arrived via ambulance, suffering from a head injury that opened up a 5" gash above her eye that went all the way down to her skull. The attending doctor told us that closure would require a plastic surgeon, and that we were in luck for Dr. Feledy, a plastic surgeon with specialities in microvascular and reconstructive plastic surgery, was the doctor on call. After Dr. Feledy examined my wife our jaws dropped for he proclaimed my wife would have no scar! For a wound that was so deep and long, and in such a prominent place on her face, this seemed impossible. He worked on my wife for over 2 1/2 hours. His calm easy manner, quick wit, and compassion shone throughout the whole time. His skills were impressive for he knitted together not only all the damaged muscle and skin, but also the tiny blood vessels and nerves that had been severed. A year out from her accident, my wife, indeed, has NO scar! Not only no scar, but the feeling in her forehead and scalp has fully returned. If my wife had been treated by a less talented and knowledgeable surgeon, not only would my wife have been scarred for life, but half her head would have been numb too. Late last year when my dermatologist diagnosed a basal cell carcinoma on the end of my nose, although Dr. Feledy is over two hours away from where I live, he's the one whom I had remove it. He was able to remove the entire tumor, and two months post surgery my nose looks terrific! Between my wife's accident and my surgery, we've been to his office over a dozen times. Not only he, but his staff have always exhibited professionalism, good humor, compassion, and competence. We have noticed, though, a lot of demanding and impatient clients. Perhaps if they realized he just might be stitching up some emergency room patient, or cancer patient, they'd be more understanding. One of my clients is a recovery room nurse who works for a major hospital in the DC area. According to her, it's not well known, but West Coast celebrities who want to have top-notch plastic surgery done privately, without the glare of the paparazzi and public, Washington DC is where they come. And, Dr. Feledy is one of the few surgeons they fly in to see. While most of don't have jobs that depend on our looks, how fortunate we are to have one of the top plastic surgeons in the US available to ALL of us. We're giving this office a one star because we couldn't give them a zero, which is what we desired. Basically we are rating this as such because Dr. Feledy seems fine but his staff and office are run so poorly that we would never use him or recommend him. In a nutshell, I had to wait 2 hours the first time I went in, which was for a consult. I was told there was an emergency 1.5 hours after I'd been there (which is ridiculous). Dr. Feledy was an affable and knowledgable doctor with a nice bed side manner, so I went ahead and scheduled the procedure with him. The day of the procedure, I called on my way there to check on his schedule only to find out that they didn't have me in the appointment books. There was no apology, just excuses - when I was actually holding the card they gave me with the appointment on it. Finally, I got another appointment with him and when I went in, the office was again completely frazzled. They asked for my insurance a second time. And, after Dr. Feledy hadn't come in after 1.5 hours, I decided to leave without saying anything. During the 1.5 hour wait the second time, I began to notice how badly decorated the office was and how DIRTY it was. I left absolutely unhappy, and as I was leaving, no one said anything - like, are you okay, how can we help you, nothing. I have heard nothing from his office since - clearly this is their mantra - IF YOU HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD AND YOUR TIME MEANS NOTHING, COME TO OUR OFFICE BECAUSE WE ARE INEPT AND ILL RUN AND YOUR TIME MEANS NOTHING, WHILE OURS MEANS EVERYTHING. My response: DON'T GO - GO TO RONALD PERLMAN INSTEAD - excellent office - clean and run impeccably. So, so happy with them - it's too bad a potentially good doctor has such an inefficiently run office - must say it seems to be the office manager who's off.... read more

I am only writing this review because of my frustration toward the receptionist. I called a week ago to make an appointment for a microdermabrasion and she told me I can only come on thursdays, so I took an appointment for thursday at 10 am. I had to take the morning off from work and drive an hour to get there. Once I got there I got a bit lost so I call them to tell them I was lost, the receptionist instead of giving me direction she was asking me bunch of questions, my name, how I spell it and what time was my appointment when I explained I was driving and I cannot be on on the phone, that she needed to give me directions and then once I park I can give her all the info she needs, she then said she found me on the system and they had misspelled my name ( lie #1). I get there and nobody is there, she has been gone for a at least 10 minutes. When she came back she says " Remember I called you and I told you there was a confusion about your appointment " ( lie #2) and I said that she never called me and she she admitted " I apologize we forgot to put your appointment on the system" and she gave me a coupon that i can use for another time. I told her that since I drove an hour and I'm off work, i will wait and get taken care of at 11 ( this is when Erica was going to come) she said OK and that Erica was on her way and she would take care of me as soon as possible ( this is after she said she will take me at 12 but I told her I could not wait until 12 and I had to go back to work). Then Erica showed up and she just took her 11 appointment and they kept me waiting until 11:18. Whenever I stood up to talk to the secretary, she acted she was on the phone to avoid me.. this is so unprofessional and so frustrating.. too bad they gave such an experience for first time clients. read more
