That kind of honesty is rare, and after knowing him since 2011, I can say it is completely consistent with his character. I saved up 10.6 thousand dollars because I thought you get what you pay for let's spend the most money for a boob job and I'll get the best one when other surgeons do it for under five grand. Scheduling was bad. Plans always changed and they kept telling me I needed clearances and then I didn't and then I did oops then I didn't. It was stressful. Day of surgery dr bitar completely treated my partner like he was invisible to the point my partner didn't come to post op appointments with me. Two weeks post op I knew I was botched I'm not even joking. Matter of fact I knew something was wrong when I got off the table and had no cleavage right upon waking up after surgery. They took the tape off at two weeks and i knew my surgery was botched. It shifted right to my armpit. I couldn't put my arm down. I have shooting nerve pain all around my side and back and couldn't sleep for months. My boobs are flat and go to my side when I lay down. It doesn't even look like I have a boob job how malpositioned he placed them. He kept gaslighting me saying it's just swelling it will go down , then it was oh it's how my chest is shaped and that's naturally where they sit , then I kept bugging because I'm in pain and can't workout without a tit being in my armpit and he said I have to wait a year to get a revision that he would also be charging me for another cost when he botched me. After carrying 8-pound twins and a 9.5-pound baby, I was left with significant abdominal muscle separation. I lost the baby weight, went through several major life changes, and eventually got myself back into good shape, but there came a point when I had to acknowledge that there were things exercise simply wasn't going to fix. I even worked with two different pelvic floor therapists specifically to address the muscle separation before deciding that a surgical consultation was the right next step for me. Once I made that decision, I did A LOT of research on clinics and providers in the area. Austin-Weston was the one I kept coming back to. I sought out Dr. Kochuba specifically because of his background and experience, and his consistently amazing reviews definitely played a part in getting me through the door. Now, being on the other side of surgery, I completely understand why his patients speak so highly of him. From my first consultation, I felt comfortable with him. He listened to what bothered me and what I hoped to accomplish, pointed out things he noticed from his area of expertise, and was very straightforward about what surgery could and couldn't do. He helped manage my expectations in terms of my results, and I never felt like he was trying to sell me on more procedures or convince me to do something I didn't need. Most importantly, I needed relief from some of the secondary issues I was experiencing as a result of the muscle separation, and I wanted to feel like myself again, not like a completely different person. I felt like he understood that from the beginning. Ultimately, I chose to have a tummy tuck with muscle repair and liposuction. The Austin-Weston team was also incredible from beginning to end. My surgical consultant was informative and helpful, the nurses were fantastic, and I always felt like I knew what was happening and who to contact if I needed something. I also opted to have an overnight nurse after surgery and to stay at the facility through my follow-up the next day. If you're debating whether it's worth it, do it. I cannot recommend that option enough. Those first hours after surgery are a lot, and having someone there who knew exactly what was normal, kept me comfortable, helped manage my medications, made sure I actually rested, and gave me peace of mind was worth every penny. My recovery went very smoothly, and I credit a lot of that to how well the team at Austin-Weston prepared me beforehand. The patient and caregiver education made a huge difference. I knew what to expect, what was normal, what to watch for, and how best to manage those first days and weeks of recovery. I never felt like we were going into it blind. I am thrilled with my results, especially now that I am 3 months out and back to my regular work out routine and daily life. My strength has improved tenfold and an unexpected benefit is that my posture has improved greatly. I remember sitting in bed a few days post op remarking I could actually sit up straight. The pre-op was a mess, including: - The practice contacting my transplant surgeon for clearance, even after I asked them not to. (At this point, she has no obligation to me except for routine monitoring. Plus, I haven't seen her as a patient since I donated four months ago.) - My "patient advisor" telling me, inaccurately, that they are concerned about my "liver" function. I pointed out that my liver function is just fine. - My "patient advisor" telling me that my (bad) kidney numbers "keep going up, up, up." That's simply not accurate. - The "patient advisor" telling me that they would give me Celebrex post-op. My response: "Um, no. As I told you earlier, as a kidney donor, I cannot take NSAIDs." - My "patient advisor" falsely telling me, apropos a possible discount, "As I told you earlier...." Again, that simply didn't happen. - The practice ignoring my PCP's clearance for the procedure and, instead, saying they would delay for two months. - The practice ignoring my nephrologist's verbal clearance for the procedure and, instead, saying they would delay for two months due to a minor blip in my kidney numbers. To be clear, they should have asked my nephrologist about a pre-op evaluation, not my surgeon. I'm pretty disappointed, as this was going to be my present to myself after kidney donation. To be clear: I appreciate their being careful. But when we are talking about my health, accuracy is key. And I am just not seeing it. Plus, while these inaccuracies may not be a big deal when individually considered, taken as a whole, they are deeply concerning. And I don't know how a patient can give informed consent when they are getting bad information about being given NSAIDs, etc. In fact, I don't know why you would give an NSAID to a patient post-surgery, but perhaps I'm missing something. I should also state, in fairness, that my patient advisor is very new, so that may be part of the issue. She also is not an RN, which is okay, but then she should have a high level of basic medical knowledge-like knowing that you cannot give kidney donors NSAIDs. I've asked for my deposit to be refunded and plan to go elsewhere. I'd love to recommend this practice, but I can't.

Dr. Domanski was incredibly patient, thoughtful, and calming with my daughter and my husband and me at a very stressful time. My daughter's forehead healed beautifully. The scar is not very noticeable, for which I am relieved. Dr. Domanski explained very clearly how we should care for her stitches and the wound as she recovered. He made suggestions about using a cream but gave me plenty of information to decide whether or not it was the best choice for her healing process. Moreover, Dr. Domanski was very available to me when I had concerns about her stitches in the days following her fall and the procedure. He is an excellent doctor to see should you need treatment for your little one.

THEN he saw that I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and asked, "Oh, can you do all those cool bendy tricks? He then proceeded to have me show him my abdomen in which he kept saying I'm making him nervous. When taking the photos of my abdomen he says - I will definitely remember your abdomen for sure, this is just for records. Mind you I am extremely self conscious of how my abdomen looks at the moment and I found this extremely insensitive. All in all he basically said I don't need him, BUT if I wanted him to tag along with my general surgeon he could. Why would I EVER want a doctor who keeps saying he is nervous the WHOLE entire appointment with extremely insensitive bedmanners to ever work on me. He then left the appt with "Enjoy your cup"- left the cup there, I don't want anything with your name on it. I try to avoid conflict, otherwise I'm sure someone else would have spoken up to him directly. I spoke with the office manager who refused to refund my $99. It's fine if he didn't want to take me on as a patient, or thought I just needed a general surgeon- but the whole appointment I felt uncomfortable and self-conscious.
