Around the trunk of the tree was a large area of mulch which made the entire area around 12 feet in circumference. My wife and I had the tree cut down because we plan on a remodel in the near future. Once the tree was gone we realized the front yard looked barren and we needed something in its place. We called bill for an estimate he was timely and very honest (one of the things I really liked about him). Bill mapped out a plan and though the jobs was simple he gave it a ton of attention and made sure we were happy. Bill even contacted us after to see how the tree and grass were progressing. Bill suggested a Japanese Maple tree (slow grower and not huge) and some catmint sitting on an edged small island and he dropped new top soil and grass seed to fill in the larger area. It looks awesome and the Japanese Maple tree alone was beautiful! It is approximately 8 feet tall, thick and lush. The tree looks extremely healthy. These trees are expensive and I'll tell you I went to many nurseries to price these trees and they were all straggly and did not support lush growth. Point being Bill orders quality products and it shows. My grass is growing in and my tree looks awesome, I get compliments all the time. Another thing I liked was Bill's staff courteous and neat and Bill oversees all the projects and returns to the project location for appropriate oversight of his staff. He is extremely accessible to the customer. We plan on doing this renovation and I feel I have to look no further for exterior landscaping design and even for a new outdoor patio (they do that too!) I have never dealt with a more unprofessional business in my life. From getting an estimate to when the job was done was a complete cluster. After 3 weeks of paying a deposit and not hearing the company I called to get an update. Javier told me "oh uhh I'll call you back". Of course the clown never called. So I waited 3 hours and called back. Javier claims he spoke to "my husband" who told them we weren't available to install the fence the next day....?? I DONT HAVE A HUSBAND. After investigating, Javier apparently spoke to the WRONG customer. Ok fine. This is where it gets good... after back and forth 3 times of telling me they are coming and never showed up....they finally showed up 5 days later at 4:30pm and began installing my fence IN THE DARK AND BROUGHT NO LIGHTS....????..... They installed the fence with no gates because his worker "couldn't see..."? Ok so then these clowns show up the next day and install the gate DURING A SNOW STORM. I literally do not understand this company. Then as the snow melts I see they threw all the dirt that accumulated ALL OVER MY MULCHED GARDEN BEDS. Now my garden has been destroyed. So of course I call my friend Javier once again. Javier claims they do not remove dirt they "just do the fences" and there is nothing he can do. WTF. That is like having a plumber come. Flood your basement. Then say oh well I just fix the pipes. I don't bring rags to clean up my mess. I will never use this company again. HEED THIS WARNING AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

We're very disappointed in our experience with Moretti Landscaping and Masonry. We hired Frank in…read more2021 and he did an excellent job with our driveway, which has held up great for the last five years. We decided to hire him again in 2023 to do some landscaping around our house and masonry work on our front walkway and steps a year later. The landscaping job was subpar. His guys left large marks in our backyard lawn while doing a tree removal, which Frank was dismissive about. The marks are still there to this day. Within a year, the steps and joints were crumbling, so we asked that he come back to fix them. He did so in 2024, but his guys applied the wrong color stucco to our steps. He sent them back with the proper color, but they did a rushed job before the old stucco dried. I texted him pictures of the discolored steps expressing my frustration, and he told us to give it a few days. When I sent Frank pictures of the discolored steps a week later, he never got back to me claiming later that he knew we weren't happy with the job and, since we still owed him the difference for the work that he did, he didn't bother sending anyone back. We had a lot going on at the time, so we accepted the discolored steps, not knowing just how bad they would eventually get. When we reached back out this year showing him the state of the steps less than two years later (I've uploaded pictures), Frank said he would have to price us out to redo the steps all over again, even though this was the result of them being poorly done twice by Moretti within a four-year period. Not only that, the joints of our walkway are cracked and falling apart after Moretti redid them for a second time less than two years ago. Everyone who's seen our steps since we're shocked a business would leave a job like this, and for him to come back and want to charge us anew is just bad business. In the end, it felt like Frank didn't care much about a small job like ours and was more concerned about trying to hastily squeeze in time between big jobs than to do the job right. Lesson learned. We had heard only good things about this company and the work they did, so this has been really surprising and frustrating. Since Frank didn't respond to my last texts seeking a resolution, I felt compelled to post this review.
