William Martinez is the best Landscaper Gardner ever. I have used William for over 20 years and would not change him for anyone else. William is reliable, always on time no matter what. He is creative in suggestions and ideas for landscaping or just a few this and that ideas. They always end up completely perfect. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. My experience with OMEGA LANDSCAPING & its owner, William Martinez, was TERRIBLE. - Service was NOT PROFESSIONAL - Was VERY EXPENSIVE - HORRIBLE VALUE - Did NOT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS - Did NOT ADHERE TO AGREED TO TERMS - Did NOT RETURN CALLS - Was UNRELIABLE - Did NOT FINISH ON SCHEDULE - Will NEVER USE AGAIN In the spring of 2021, I hired Omega Landscaping to renovate my lawn, garden & install privacy trees. It was a HORRIBLE experience & I will NEVER use them again for anything. The experience started off well, but quickly deteriorated. Going through the bullet points above. - Did NOT ADHERE TO AGREED TO TERMS When we agreed to do business together, I stressed 2 points were very important to me * All work had to be scheduled at mutually convenient dates/times & that would be scheduled, meaning no surprise visits) * All work had to be complete by a scheduled date This did not happen. More below. We had a verbal contract on these. As soon as the work started & payment started, Omega Landscaping completely ignored these very important agreed upon points. - One day when no appointment was scheduled, I was startled to look out the window & see a strange face working under the porch when no work was scheduled. - Even after we talked about this again, this happened again & again, not honoring the agreement - Service was NOT PROFESSIONAL Clean up was poor every time Every time work was done, I would find garbage or other items that should have been thrown away when job was complete. - Was VERY EXPENSIVE - HORRIBLE VALUE Taking these 2 bullet points together I paid more than $16,000 & basically wound up with very little for that amount of money, except aggravation & stress This spring (2022), I am hiring another company to basically RE-DO & FIX the work that Omega Landscaping did - Did NOT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS I gave Omega Landscaping very specific directions & photos of what I wanted done What I got what was not what I asked for. This is especially poor because what I asked for was what people had across the street & could easily been seen. If that was not bad enough, a bush was planted in my backyard that I did not order & did not want. I repeated asked for it to be removed & it was never done. Not following directions was also the case for other things: - Planting grass on my property by the street This was never done - Not tearing down a rose bush The rose bush was torn down & it was not supposed to have been - Did NOT RETURN CALLS - Was UNRELIABLE - Did NOT FINISH ON SCHEDULE * I called Omega Landscaping many times to determine the schedule for finishing up the work, which was the planting on the privacy trees * I was going to be away for businesses & as we agreed at the start, the work needed to be complete before I returned. * Despite several calls & despite the fact I had already paid them a lot of money, Omega Landscaping did not return my calls to confirm the work would be completed on schedule * Fast-FWD to: I am on the way to airport to start my business trip & I still have not heard back from Omega Landscaping. * I call Omega Landscaping again. I finally get them on the phone & confirm the schedule & must-have completed date. I ask them to update me on the work while I am away. * Fast-FWD to: It's 2 weeks later. I am on the way home from the airport. I have not heard from Omega Landscaping. I call them. The work is NOT complete. Omega Landscaping VIOLATED our agreement & did NOT follow the agreed upon schedule. * Unfortunately, at this point, I was not able to have the privacy trees installed. * I tried to re-schedule with Omega Landscaping, but the owner told me he was going on vacation with his family. * I found it interesting that he was able to schedule a family vacation but not able to complete my job in the agreed-upon schedule or call me back after my many calls. * After all of this frustration, I cancelled the privacy tree installation with Omega Landscaping. * Strangely, at that point, they were able to call me. A LOT. But when I needed him to call me, they were NOwhere to be found. * In the fall, I had a nursery, who actually knows about trees, install the privacy trees. * Interestingly, the nursery said IF those privacy trees had been installed when originally scheduled with Omega Landscaping, THEY ALL WOULD HAVE DIED, because it's too hot in the summer to plant trees like that. * Omega Landscaping never mentioned anything about that. Everyone in my neighborhood used him happily, until, one at a time, each house got overcharged for something for which William (the owner) wouldn't budge. He'll happily lose your business for a short term $ gain His lawn care was fine but plowing not so great. And his employees will freely share info about you to others. It's not a good feeling. If you cared enough to research this company, know that you can do better. So much better. read more
