Johnny and his team just finished our backyard this morning and I can't say enough good things!…read more For starters, I reached out to them and found them to be responsive and available quickly. The initial consultation was thorough, and they prepared the quote quickly. The quote was detailed, it was easy to discuss/implement any changes - it felt like a truly cooperative process to come to a plan that we liked, was practical for our lifestyle, and within our budget. We were really looking for a company that could come in and take care of everything without the need to subcontract anything out, or organize additional vendors on our own and they fit that bill. They installed turf, removed 2 old rotting tree stumps, cleared out and replanted 2 areas of the garden, replaced a broken/rotting fence and set of steps, carted away any junk from the yard that didn't belong, and even repaired a hole in the cement left by the previous owners. The other thing that I really appreciated was that they listened when we said we wanted to keep things very low maintenance. Plants were chosen in a way that doesn't require us to fuss over them and allows us, our kid, and our dog to actually use the space without being worried about things getting ruined. During the work they required access through an apartment and were respectful of the space (and everyone's time), and left everything clean. The job took a touch longer than anyone initially expected, but that was caused by weather delays and a few extra items that came up as they were working. Communication about any changes was prompt, the additional work that came up was explained clearly, and I found any additional charges to be more than fair. We're so excited to get to use our garden and watch it grow as the weather improves, and I look forward to having Johnny and his team return for any regular maintenance. I'll try to remember to update this review with photos in the spring once things settle in and bloom.

We loved the design they put together, they helped us make decisions to maintain high quality and stay within our budget, they were communicative throughout the process, and my dog loved the whole team which is always a great sign. Probably most importantly... the results are amazing. They were on time and under budget (first time that's happened for any house projects!), and I love being out in the yard now. Everything is done just right. Definitely would work with them again! I wish they did interiors too!

I am so happy with the communication from beginning to end regarding all projects, and the work they complete speaks for itself. So far I have had landscaping cleaning and maintenance, tree trimming, powerwashing and leveling pavers, and concrete foundation laid down for a shed (picture attached). Their work ethic is exceptional, their prices are fair, I would not hesitate to hire them and recommend them for any work you may need! You will truly be in great hands and they go above and beyond. I've attached a picture of my landscaping because I do have a pretty big yard so you can see how amazing it looks! Can't wait to work with them for more projects! thank you thank you thank you! :)

He is the whole package - design/creativity and excellent implementation - for a fair price. He was on site the day of planting and made sure everything went to plan. He is an excellent communicator, listening to your vision but also mindful of what is actually possible in your space. We have a shady front yard which can be a challenge to work with, and we'd hired one landscaper prior who planted so many things that didn't grow well in the shade, which Eric pointed out for us. He worked with us to find better plants for shade, all of which look *great.* Can't say enough good stuff about this company!

They assessed my dilemma & quickly gave me a very fair quote. Tim & his team go above and beyond. They are super detailed, fast and insanely hard working. Unlike other contractors who look to nickel and dime, they go the extra mile and fixed things not even discussed in the proposal. They completely cleaned and leveled my back yard. Fixed broken pavers, added a new paver patio, river rocked a border around my home, transplanted bushes, added new bushes & seeded the entire grounds. What they did in 4 days, I couldn't do in 4 months. Tim and team transformed a mess into a masterpiece. They are worth every penny. TPC - In!

He appears to be very busy - which is OK... but he could, at least, have called me back to let me know. In essence, a nice guy, but an awful businessman. Not good... keep away!

Jonathan has done basic landscaping for me, built walkways, built retaining walls/playground platforms, painted my house, repaired my gutters, repaired sidewalks, paved driveways, etc. He can handle or knows someone who can handle any job. His work is top notch, aesthetically pleasing, and his pricing is really competitive. Jonathan stands by his work, he transplanted some trees for me in the past and when one died, he replaced it on his own. Jonathan has also grown into a trusted family friend. When my father was sick with cancer and his furnace gave out, Jonathan drove over at night to fix it and get the heat back on. He does the same for me. It snowed one winter and I needed to get out of my garage for work, Jonathan was there to plow me out! I would highly recommend Jonathan without hesitation for any outdoor landscaping or construction needs

I finally decided to give his business a try by doing basic lawn maintenance once. The guys showed up, cut only a part of the lawn and then were about to leave before finishing the job properly. The guy cutting the lawn said he was concerned about the new grass even though the grass had been growing for almost 6 weeks by then. Then he recommended I fertilize the lawn to deal with weeds which didnt make sense. Weed killer or over seeding would have been a better solution. After I canceled the service he sends me a bill for higher than his original estimate for weekly service.

We started being billed for weeks that we didn't receive any lawn care and when we started to question that and the quality of the services is when he flipped out and quit right there on the spot mid season. Now he's not even mature enough to speak whenever he sees us which I think is hilariously petty for a grown adult who runs a business. If you do decide to hire GQ Lawns make sure you keep your own records of the weeks you were serviced and made payments, also don't criticize the work in any way even though you're a paying customer. Gregory doesn't take constructive criticism well at all and will throw a tantrum if you question any part of the work being done on your own property.
