In 2011, Dr Laudonio delivered my son via emergency C-section. I revered this man and put him on a pedestal. In 2020, I got pregnant again and of course went to the doctor I trusted so dearly. I saw him at 10 weeks, he did an ultrasound and told me the baby was fine. I asked him what the heart rate was and he couldn't give me an answer. We started to notice how outdated his machinery was. My spouse and I also noticed how his behavior had changed from 9 years earlier. He seemed more diminished now, exhausted, his smiles seemed forced. A few weeks later, I started spotting, so I went to St Joe's hospital immediately. They did an ultrasound and I saw my baby's heart stopped beating right in front of me on the monitor. It just about killed me. I broke down and couldn't stop crying. The doctor at the women's center there, wanted a second opinion and asked my doctor, Dr Laudonio, to make an appointment with me immediately to check for himself on his ultrasound. I called Dr Laudonio before leaving the emergency room, to make the appointment. His wife answered the phone, he refused to see me, going against what he promised the doctor at St Joe's. His wife told me that Dr Laudonio wanted me to wait several days for my originally planned appointment. She also said he wanted me to go get blood taken. I was crying erratically still from what I saw on the ultrasound. I told her that he had promised the Doctor at St Joe's that he would see me ASAP. She told me to hold on and then spoke to her husband. She came back on the phone and said, " Dr. Laudonio said , if you don't want to follow his orders then you can go somewhere else". What did I do that was so horrible to deserve for him to treat me this way? I was so happy that he was going to be the doctor of one of my baby's again. It was the absolute worst moment of my life (zero exaggeration), and he wouldn't give me the time of day or respect that I once thought he was capable of. He wouldn't even dignify me with the respect to get on the phone and talk to me, I was his patient and I needed him more than ever. He left me to go through a miscarriage by myself, scared and alone. I couldn't forgive him for this treatment and I went to Genesis. But because I couldn't get into an appointment immediately, even they couldn't help me through the experience that was ahead of me. The miscarriage came. The pain felt like it was ripping me in half. The screaming and crying that came from me as I laid in the fetal position on my couch. My kids cried for me, they didn't know how to help Mommy. I spent many years now determining whether I should just let this go or hold this man accountable for what he did to me. But the NIGHTMARES I had of that horrible day ,when I saw my baby's heart stop beating, and then the most agonizing emotional and physical pain (that I've ever been through in my life), that followed it, which is impossible to forget, even with therapy. 4 yrs later and the nightmares haven't stopped. As you can see I've made my decision. I am speaking up, no one should ever be treated this way. SHAME ON YOU DR.LAUDONIO, SHAME ON YOU! HOW DARE YOU TREAT ONE OF YOUR PATIENTS THIS WAY! I TRUSTED YOU! YOU DON'T DESERVE DEVOTION OR LOYALTY! YOU MADE ME GO THROUGH THAT ALONE! I can only pray that you experience the same neglect and abandonment one day soon! How dare you purposely traumatize the innocent women that come to you when they're most vulnerable! For the love of God, update your equipment. The proper equipment could have detected the miscarriage sooner and could have prevented all of this. The updated equipment wouldn't have saved my baby, but it definitely would have prevented the unnecessary trauma it caused me and my family. read more
