I've had good experiences here with sonography. The tech has always been extremely welcoming and helpful. The quality of care is pretty good. You receive imaging quickly through email. However, my main complaint is getting or rescheduling appointments. It's almost impossible. I find myself playing phone tag to set things up. That can get very nerve wrecking. I had an extremely disturbing experience with a nurse named Bernadette during my pregnancy, and sharing this for the sake of other families. At our 13-week scan, she told us that due to an anomaly, our baby had only a 20% chance of viability. TWENTY PERCENT chance of viability. She sent us into mourning. In the same conversation, she immediately suggested abortion and mentioned she "knew of a good place." We made it clear that this was not under consideration. Despite that, she brought it up three more times in subsequent interactions. When our NIPT results came back, she approached the situation with an overwhelmingly negative tone and suggested termination yet again. Fortunately, we reviewed the results first and conducted our own research before her doom-and-gloom phone call. Later, when we met with a maternal-fetal medicine doctor and geneticist, we were told, by BOTH of them, that our baby's chances of viability were comparable to ANY OTHER pregnancy. This raises SERIOUS concerns about the accuracy and framing of the information we received. I believe Bernadette has an agenda for termination. This experience was deeply upsetting and traumatic. Medical professionals are in a position of trust, and the way information is communicated, especially in vulnerable moments, matters immensely. If I were a weak mother, I might have believed her. Trusted her. Can you imagine how many weaker mothers she has manipulated into termination?? Seek second opinions and advocate for yourself. And avoid Bernadette as if your life depends on it, because your baby's life does. For the record, our son is here today and thriving. read more

I met with Dr. Marsha Brooks-Candela 3/25/25 and I honestly haven't been so pi$$ed off at someone's bedside manner in over a decade. I cannot even begin to fathom how people would come back to this office, especially for this doctor. I don't expect doctors to be bubbly, high energy, happy go lucky people, but I do expect them to be professional and non-judgmental. I was in for a woman's wellness visit, an annual checkup after my hysterectomy from 2024. Never in my right mind did I expect this woman to ask me (about my surgery) "Was it falling out?" Are you flipping joking me? I asked, "excuse me, but what?" Instead of explaining, medically, what she might have meant by such a flippantly disrespectful comment, she repeated, "Was it falling out?" Was what falling out??? My cervix, I assume, is what she was asking about and I have never felt so disgusted by a comment made by a doctor. "WAS IT FALLING OUT?" I am still absolutely fuming by this damn comment. How in the absolute hell does anyone think that is an appropriate question about a surgery that protected me from developing CERVICAL CANCER! I am livid. The sad thing is, this wasn't the only issue I had with her. I am not legally married (boo-hoo) and as soon as she heard that I could visibly see judgement cross her face. Yes, I have children out of marriage and no I do not care how anyone feels about that. As a medical professional, you take a vow to treat everyone the same. I am not a convicted murderer. I did not commit some heinous crime. I did not deserve the rudeness and disrespect I felt from this woman. You don't have to like me, but I chose to come to her for a very sensitive appointment and I felt like throwing up afterwards. Let's not forget to mention, I had a 2:30 PM appointment. I arrived at 1:58 PM per the office request so I could fill out paperwork, which took all of 10 minutes to fill out, essentially, I was fully checked in at 2:09 PM. I was not called back into a private room by a nurse until 3:07 PM, after having to ask the front staff why I kept seeing people coming in 30-45 minutes after me for appointment times after mine, and still being called back before they even glanced in my direction a second time. I sat in that room for another 20 minutes before the doctor even came in. The appointment only took 16 minutes in total. I waited for over an hour for a woman 15 years older than her picture would lead you to believe to come in a disrespect me, my time and my body. Never, literally NEVER, in a million years would I go back to this place. Absolute shite office staff, rude as hell doctor and unacceptable wait times. I have been a patient of Genesis from when they were doing business as Ironwood OB/GYN. In January 2025 I was scheduled for an ultrasound to address an issue that came up post-menopause. When I arrived at the Maternal-Fetal Medicine location on La Cholla, I was "greeted" by a most rude and unsavory reception staff, in particular the woman who handled taking my payment. I couldn't believe I was being dogged when all I did was walk in the door! This nasty woman told me that my out of pocket cost that day was $359.49 and I would need to pay it before the ultrasound. I pressed on and asked if she was sure that was what I owed and was firmly told yes and if I didn't pay it I would not be seen and of course I paid the $359.49. Two months later I received an EOB from my insurance provider and lo and behold my out of pocket for the testing was not $359.49 it was $111.00 proving the woman at the front desk was wrong and she was a creep and I wonder if she does this to all patients. Young ladies go in there with pregnancy complications, and gynecological health concerns and they're worried and scared and other woman may not have had the $359.49 available at that moment - what happens to those girls? Are they told that they can't be seen unless they pay their co-pay? I can stand up for myself and fortunately I had the funds to cover the purported co-pay but not everyone does! I contacted the Genesis billing office twice and received no response. Between the nasty receptionist and the lack of return calls from billing, I'm sad to think that the practice may be void of personal communication and attention to patient needs OTHER than medical. read more

I originally started in Sierra vista and transferred to Tucson and Dr Chen is absolutely amazing! He did a hysterectomy for me on 2/14/25. I went home that day after recovery. It was robotic and he left ovaries so wouldn't go through menopause early. The first day all I did was sleep and was nauseous because of the anesthesia. The worst of the surgery was when they put the anesthesia thru IV my hand felt like it was burning and I remember shaking my my hand felt like it was burning off and than I was out and than woke up to them telling me it's done. In recovery just slept than they told me ok Ashley we gotta get u home and they gave me zofran to help because thought was going to throw up but I've been doing good alittle pain and discomfort but other than that doing great and I'm not using anything for pain other than ibuprofen 800mg and extra strength Tylenol. Dr Chen did amazing job it's only been a week and incisions are healing quickly. The office is always so clean and everyone that I have met has always been so nice and caring absolutely love genesis. read more

I had my appointment in August of 2024. At the time of my appointment, I gave them my insurance. They sent my bill LabCorp who sent me a message mid-November, and I had to call to give them my insurance again. They did not run my insurance until December 24th. They charged me on December 29th hundreds of dollars out of pocket. I called their office numerous times the 26th and 27th and left a message. I never received a call back before they charged me. This visit should be covered under my insurance, so their lack of submitting a claim over multiple months cost me money out of pocket until my insurance reimburses me for their late claim. I am so disappointed in Genesis. I called in July after having really intense pain and bleeding. It took a month to get an appointment. I saw the NP who saw me for maybe 10 minutes. I figured this is how it would go and that they would recommend an ultrasound. She ordered one which led to another month of waiting in pain. After receiving the ultrasound, things got worse. I was trying to be patient and wait for my results, but was in excruciating pain afterwards to the point where it hurt to walk or sit. I was crushed when they finally called (after me calling and asking for answers) and they said I had a cyst and just to keep waiting it out and that I could have another appt in one month to see if it went away. I called back in tears asking for a second opinion. No call back. Soo I sought out another office. I made several attempts to call and get my medical records... no call back. I finally had to go in person to get them. Copperstate OBGYN got me in the following week and knew my diagnoses was wrong immediately. I had an infection. Something so simply treated by antibiotics left me in months of pain that Genesis completely disregarded. I have never felt so unheard and gaslighted by a doctor. I will never return to Genesis OBGYN. read more

They treat people wo a partner like crap and don't care about anyone's well being they kept asking for 500$ for this appointment. Arrived to office well over 15 minutes before appointment as requested by office for an 8:45 am appt. Was called back to have weight taken and then taken to the exam room for the MA go over medications being taken and get a blood pressure reading. We were told Kait would be in soon. At 8:43 the MA comes back in and advises that the NP my daughter was booked with is not at the office and is running late but she is not sure what's going on. Okay no problem, thinking 5 minutes late or something due to traffic or something. Well 5 minutes goes by and nothing. At 9:10 there was still no NP, no update. We had another appt scheduled for 9:30 and at this point needed to leave to be able to make the next appointment. When we go out of the room to find the MA and let her know we are leaving and want to ensure this appointment would not be marked as walked out as this was a provider issue and not a patient issue. We were told she was in the office but with another patient. Which is great for the other patient. We ended up leaving and not being able to seen. read more

I am sitting here in Genesis Clinic now. I had an appointment with Dr.Tootie at 10:00 AM. I arrived at 9:30 AM. It is now 11:00 AM ! I have been here for an hour and a half. Drs are only given 20 minutes per patient. This is unreasonable for a pelvic exam! Administrators making these rules are ill informed of women's obgyn needs and only care about money per visit. Horrible customer service!!!! I wasn't greeted when I walked in. Was standing in the wrong place. Another person passed me up. When I got to the desk a young receptionist was extremely rude and said since I was there pretty much on time she had to check with the provider ( Dr. Rachel Walker) if she would still see me. She said I had to reschedule. I was a few minutes early for my appointment. The receptionist said I should have been there a half an hour ahead of time. I was told originally to come 15 minutes early but then received a reminder call for the appointment time the day before. Very unprofessional. I've been a patient here for about 15 years, since before the office was on La Cholla. Dr. Westerband is fantastic! She has performed 2 surgical procedures, and both times she thoroughly explained the process and what to expect. She is knowledgeable and experienced, which makes me feel comfortable in the care she provides. I love that she is efficient, to the point, and kind. I've moved across town and still drive 25 minutes just to keep her as my GYN. I noticed several complaints about wait times or a canceled appt. That happened to me once in 15 years - because there was an emergency at the hospital with a pregnant patient, so I couldn't be seen. And you know what? I am a-okay with that. I mean seriously, who gets upset about their OB/GYN being called out to an emergency at the hospital? Another review said the office was dark and dirty - bwahahahaha! What? Another complained that they couldn't bring their child back during COVID-19 precautions. I understand it was inconvenient to that person, but I'm glad the office is enforcing precautions to keep all of their other patients, especially pregnant, medically vulnerable, and immune-compromised patients as safe as possible. read more

The only reason this rating is one star is that zero is not an option! This is my first negative review ever, but I felt my experience might be of interest to other perspective patients at Northwest Genesis OBGYN in Tucson. My appointment was 8:30 this morning and the person who took vitals was extremely pleasant and capable. However, I cannot say the same about Dr. Snigdha Toodi. I sat on the examining table wrapped in the usual paper cover-up for well over 20 minutes awaiting her arrival in the room. Eventually someone came in pushing a large cart and dressed as though just coming from the gym. I joked that I thought everyone had forgotten I was there. She did not so much as smile or exchange pleasantries, and I was greatly surprised when she curtly introduced herself as Dr. Tootie...without any sort of apology for being so behind schedule and leaving me sitting there in a paper wrap for such long a time. During the five minutes she was in the room she degraded the professional skills of my previous OBGYN, and then caused great discomfort by using two instruments without any lubricant for the fastest exam I have ever had in my life. She quickly grabbed her cart and exited the room. Needless to say, I will not be returning to see Dr. Tootie, whom I found to be arrogant, unprofessional and sorely lacking even a modicum of bedside manners. read more

Dr. Rachel Walker works at the Ajo location as well as Northwest so this review is about her and the rough and abrasive treatment I had when she conducted an exam on me. An annual exam shouldn't not have hurt this much. I have 2 grown children and have had more than enough experience getting paps and exams. I cannot recommend because of the 2 days of lingering pain and yikes, blood! I don't know if they were running low or had a shortage of KY but it practically felt abusive. Go elsewhere. read more

I had 3 appointments at this facility and just had an awful experience with each one. This is my third baby so after the first two bad appointments I just shrugged my shoulders and figured I would make it work. The third appointment was so bad I ended up switching providers. I am driving far from my home to see my new provider but it's worth it to not have to go to this office again. I had issues with the doctor being 30 mins late to each appointment, the doctor left for the day and canceled my appointment because I was downstairs getting my ultrasound (they ran 15 mins late I was 20 mins early)- they made me come back on Monday (another day off work), refused the genetic testing I requested even though their office gave me the test name and I guaranteed the payment and finally as I was leaving they took 10 days to send my medical records even though when I called ahead of time to ask the process they said I could show up same day to pick them up. Beyond frustrating and unorganized. Also, look at my prior Yelp reviews... I usually only write positive remarks. read more

He listened to me and more importantly, he heard me and for that I couldn't be more grateful. I had a robotic hysterectomy in 2021 and the process and recovery were so much easier than what my friends have experienced elsewhere. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I just moved to the area end of February, and tried scheduling an appointment to see a new doctor here who could potentially renew my prescription medication that my doctor back home had prescribed. Every time that it would get close to my appointment date, they would call and reschedule because the doctor wouldn't be in the office or they didn't know when the doctor was going to be back. They suggested I see a nurse they had there instead and I, reluctantly, agreed seeing as how I just needed my prescription re-prescribed. The medication I was taking was to help with period cramps and flow, but it was not birth control - it was what my doctor back home and I agreed on & something that actually WORKED and HELPED me. Come the day of the appointment (June, by this time) and I walk up to the counter to check in & automatically am ignored. I stood there like an idiot waiting for one of the three receptionists to acknowledge me and check me in, but they talked away with each other instead. A minute passed and someone else walked through the front door and one of the receptionists tells them "I can help you check in over here!" As if hadn't been standing there that entire time??? Then one of the other receptionists looks at me and says "Do you still need help checking in?" Strike one. So once I'm checked in and called to the back, I spent about 30 minutes sitting alone in the room waiting for whatever nurse they had scheduled me for to show up. Enter Hayley Kiesel - "nurse and midwife". She confessed that she wasn't familiar with the medication I had listed on my check-in and said she had been reading about it before coming in. Understandable. But what didn't sit right with me was that despite me telling her I did not want birth control & was fine with the solution my previous doctor and I had found, she continued to push the idea of BC onto me. I swear I spent that entire visit being shamed for not accepting any form of BC. She ignored my reservations (I told her that several family members of mine who had used various types of BC ended up having fertility issues later in life) and continued insisting upon every form of BC that they had. I swear she was just one big walking/talking advertisement for BC. She was unprofessional - at one point in the visit she said "Well I don't understand - if you were to get pregnant right now, what would you do with the baby?" Despite me telling her repeatedly that I am not active & that I simply did not want the BC. And after each time we would move to a different topic, she would circle back and point to all of her charts and say "I don't understand what you have against it when the medication you're taking is a key ingredient of BC." Back home, as soon as I told my OBGYN that I did not want BC, she immediately said "okay, let's explore some other options." That was not the case here. I felt shamed for not accepting it. I gave her another excuse for not accepting it and said that the side effects alone are enough for me to say no, but Hayley insisted that "side effects are different for everyone." I asked her "So knowing my family's history with BC, why would you continue to push it onto me?" And she just went on and on about all the benefits of it instead of hearing me out. I have never met a more unprofessional and unfit "nurse" than her. I guess she was upset that none of her advertisements worked on me in the end because she refused to renew my prescription and said that she "didn't feel like the medication was necessary." I have never had a gynecologist who had absolutely NO INTERACTION with me after ordering tests. Dr Warner examined me (wearing a mask, it wasn't during covid) and was very blunt & to the point. I didn't care as lobg as she knew what she was doing. She told me I needed an ultrasound, even though I told her that the issue she was concerned about (very slight bleeding the previous year) had only happened one or two times...VERY VERY VERY SLIGHT. She ordered one anyway. I had a mamogram, and she then She ordered an additional MRI mamogram. The way that department is ran is ridiculous. When the MRI mamogram results were read, they were NORMAL, but they suggested I have ANOTHER MRI in 6 months. I refused. They kept calling to set one up. I told them I would have one ONE YEAR from the mamogram in November. When the results for the uterine ultrasound came back, did Dr Warner CALL ME to explain? NO. Send a letter? NO. I just got calls from young women (probably nursing students) telling me I needed a BIOPSY. I set it up...wondering what was wrong. Did Dr Warner CALL ME? NO! Send a letter? NO! Send me the report? NO! I waited, hoping for a letter. I finally SENT AN EMAIL to one of her assistants and said I wanted a copy of the report. In the report, Dr. Warner LIED and said the ultrasound was being done to "find a reason for the pain & bleeding." There WAS NO PAIN OR BLEEDING! I also had a cyst on one ovary The report said what it was (nothing serious, a very common form. I looked it up) and "no further imaging needed." And YET, I got a CALL from a young girl again, telling me I needed the ultrasound...AGAIN to CHECK THE NORMAL CYST!! If it WAS NOT NORMAL, WHY did the report say NO OTHER IMAGING REQUIRED? I WAS SO ANGRY after reading the report I could hardly breathe! Does this place BANK on SCARING WOMEN into needless tests? I wasn't scared, but there are plenty of women who would be terrified if they were told they needed a biopsy. I was just MAD! I'm not on Medicare. If I WERE on Medicare, would they be so quick to order test after test with NO REAL EXPLANATION? I'm now looking for a different clinic. Even if something DOES turn out to be wrong with me, I DO NOT want a doctor who DOESN'T COMMUNICATE with patients! This place is like an ASSEMBLY LINE! Every gynecologist I have had IN MY LIFE, including my wonderful Dr. Ledesma, who retired last year, ALWAYS TALKED TO ME! So here is the final review on the company as a whole. I wont make it a long story, so I will just give the basic points. 1. They will constantly change you appointments on you. 2. NEVER expect to be seen on time 3. Expect to see your real OB only about 3 times the whole experience. The other times will be some NP that doesn't care and won't listen. Just treat you by the chart 4. Expect to be told that you have diabetes even though 4 months of blood checks are all 100% normal. (Got to get those charges up for the insurance) 5. When the time does come, your OB will NOT be there. You will have 2, maybe 3 different doctors coming in. Who knows who will actually deliver your baby 6. Even after delivery, your OB will come in once. Say hello and how cute your baby is, then leave never to be seen again. My advice is stay away from this company and find a mom and pop place that the doctor actually cares about you and your baby. These ones seem to only care about how many charges they can send over to your insurance. read more

Imagine leaving your very first OB appointment feeling hopeless in finding appropriate care during your first pregnancy and like you'd better off ending the pregnancy than continuing with care. That's how I felt leaving this office after my appointment with the "midwife" Hayley Kisiel. I've read more useful information on webMD than was given to me by the "midwife" they scheduled me with. When I scheduled this appointment, I asked specifically what it would entail. I was told it would be a urine sample to confirm pregnancy and a nice little session for me to ask any and all questions I might have. I took time to write out all of my questions and came fully prepared. After my check in, urine sample collection, and vitals, they pulled out a gown and had me dress down to which I asked why and they said I would be having a full physical and pap, which I was never informed of when I scheduled the appointment. Apparently, it's a pretty normal practice, which I understand. However, with this being my very first appointment and first ever pregnancy, I am not aware of what's "normal" or what to expect and I was not informed of this when scheduling the appointment and asking what it would entail. So when a new, first time pregnant patient asks what their appointment will consist of, I do think having a more thorough explanation is crucial. I dressed down and found myself sitting on the exam table for what ended up being the entire duration of the appointment, which meant I didn't get to reference my list of questions, let alone write anything down. The "midwife" they set me with was not to my liking and for quite a number of reasons. Mostly being that I had it in mind that a midwife would have a welcoming demeanor and have a more natural approach to the pregnancy. That was quite the opposite from the beginning of our appointment. She was not welcoming to say the least, she had a more reserved and in all honesty, stuck up attitude, which I surely didn't appreciate at my first appointment where I'm incredibly nervous. She strongly urged me to begin taking antidepressants, despite my telling her I have no desire to do so. As someone who has a psychiatrist to diagnose and prescribe such medications, it felt completely out of line to feel pressured to take something that I have never taken before simply because it is "strongly recommended" for those with anxiety during pregnancy. In addition to suggesting I start taking an antidepressant, I was strongly urged to consider stopping all supplements that my Naturopath has advised I take, that they also approved are safe for me to take during my pregnancy. Last, but not least while the "midwife" overlooked my list of supplements that I am taking and no longer taking, she listed off a few that are safe to take during pregnancy, to which I had to correct her and tell her that it clearly states on the bottle "do not take while pregnant or breastfeeding" and that it is not safe to take and that is why I am no longer taking it. She also suggested that I meet with a high risk OB because of all of the supplements I am taking, and I really felt like I was being pushed off because she didn't actually know what any of these supplements were. FYI-these supplements are simple and standard-I buy them at Natural Grocers and Whole Foods. Towards the end of the appointment, I'm still sitting half naked in the gown on the exam btw, never had the chance to get dressed again or get myself comfortable even long after the physical exam was complete, she's beginning to close the laptop and walk towards the door and asks if I have any questions...to which I reply of course I have plenty but they're all written down in my bag. She hands me my bag and I find myself awkwardly flipping through my note tab trying to pick out which questions are "the most important" since I'm feeling rushed at this point and it's clear that the appointment is over. I felt even more confused and lost at this point than I did before the appointment and so I asked the first question about feeling extremely dehydrated, despite my drinking well over gallon of water a day to which she responded "A gallon of water is 130 oz, you could eat some watermelon, it's really juicy and hydrating". The last thing I want to comment on about this entire experience is the fact that there are signs posted everywhere, including in the exam rooms stating that masks are still required at this facility and for appointments. Everyone including staff and patients are wearing them at the front of office, but when I was called back for my appointment, I found it very odd to see the entire back of house staff either not wearing a mask at all (one of the male providers) or wearing it below their noses and chins, like the girls at the computers and even the "midwife" that saw me. read more

They make you wait forever and then rush your appointment, I've gotten sick with bronchitis and they totally missed that ( was not detected until I went to the hospital myself) I've had sever migraines with vomiting left with a zantac prescription... huh?... wish I lived in Phoenix so I could go back and see my old dr. at mom doc midwives who spent more than 2 min in the room with me!!! I've had several miscarriages and no extra care for that when my last dr was super vigilant on checking heartbeat every visit. I'm 31 weeks now and feel trapped to continue here ugh never again!!! This place is a joke and unprofessional. With my wife's first pregnancy we thought Dr. Schneider was okay.. but towards the end of her pregnancy she started cancelling appointments when my wife was supposed to be seen weekly. We ended up missing appointments or seeing random nurses who didn't have the answers to our questions. We ended up having to stay 3 extra days in the hospital once the baby was born because they were negligent about my wife being positive with strep B. We returned to Dr. Schneider with this pregnancy because we didn't know better, but this has been eye opening. My wife's been extremely sick this entire pregnancy, so sick she couldnt keep water down the first 2.5 trimesters. Dr. Schneider has not been empathetic. She instead tells my wife that she needs to just make herself drink water, tells her at every appointment she "doesn't look dehydrated", and even refused to send us to the women's center to get an IV. My wife is now 37 weeks pregnant. We had an appointment today that Dr. Schneider cancelled less than an hour before hand. We were supposed to find out if my wife tested positive for strep B today so we could be prepared if she goes into labor. Instead we are stuck waiting 3 more days. When we returned their call cancelling today's appointment we expected a back up plan. Let us come see a different doctor or nurse, we were even willing to come in at a later time. The receptionist was extremely unhelpful. Did not care that we were cancelled on and even proceeded to get rude over the phone when we asked to be seen sooner than Thursday by any Doctor or nurse at the facility. When a patient cancels less than 24 hrs out they are charged a fee, but doctors can cancel less than an hour out there is no plan of action to help the patients waiting to be seen? This makes no sense. I do not recommend coming here. read more

At 35 weeks pregnant, I switched OBs so I could deliver at Northwest and both appointments havent been handled well. I'll start with the second one because it's the most ridiculous. I was scheduled for an appointment with the OB so I showed up, checked in, asked if the OB was on time, and she said "she should be." 30 minutes later I go up to the front desk and a different lady told me the OB isn't scheduled to work that day... WHAT? so I had to wait another 30 minutes to see a nurse Practitioner at almost 38 weeks pregnant. The first appointment, the OB was 50 minutes late - how are you not going to tell your appointments that something came up and she won't be on time? I will say I do really like my OB and that makes up for the issues I've had. read more

Stay away from this practice. My last experience with them was devastating. I saw my doctor for my annual well woman exam followed up by a mammogram I had at their location. I received a letter one week later from the radiologist stating my mammogram was fine. Three days later I received a voicemail stating that there were abnormalities and that I required further imaging. When I tried to call for verification I was of course place on hold for a period of at least 30 minutes. After a few days I was finally put in touch with my doctors medical assistant who assured me she would speak with the doctor and return my call. I was not afforded the curtesy of a return call. I tried calling multiple times and was finally connected to the person who actually facilitated my mammogram. I communicated to her my confusion, frustration and fear and begged for clarification. I still was not provided with a phone call but instead a poorly written and grammatically incorrect message on their patient portal message board. I was eventually contacted by the head of the mammography department and nurse manager. They were very apologetic however it was too little and too late. Their explanation for the confusion was due to a glitch in the mammography template which generated the letter sent to me. REALLY! Frightening! Thankfully, further images and a biopsy revealed that I did not have breast cancer. The manner in which this situation was handled was deplorable. To make matters worse, I experienced an additional female problem right after the mammogram fiasco. Trying to make an appointment for this issue was again horrifying. I again needed to make several calls to see my doctor with the promise of a return call. And, as usual, no call came. It took a week to finally get an appointment. Just depended on who you were able to speak to at their central scheduling department. It was another round of tests and waiting and thankfully, I was again given a clean bill of health. The emotional stress this placed on me was devastating. This process lasted over two months. I will never deal with practice again. The unfortunate part of this experience is that I really liked my doctor. Too bad she doesn't work for another practice. read more

First of all, I'd just like to start out with a big F U to Erin. I went here for years, complaining of being in excruciating pain. Erin had me do multiple ultrasounds that came back showing nothing so instead of doing other tests and trying to figure out what the problem was, she kept trying to prescribe birth controls to just somewhat "suppress" the pain, which they never did. I tried many different birth controls that fucked with my hormones and emotions so much. I kept asking her appointment after appointment if it could possibly be endometriosis and if we could please do a laparoscopy. But no, she kept saying no you probably don't have it, and she told me I was exaggerating my pain which absolutely crushed me because that was farthest from the truth. For years I had to deal with pain, so many appointments, and judgment from her. I finally decided I was going to try a new place. The first appointment I showed up for, i told my new OB/Gyn exactly what has gone on over the years and immediately she said, it honestly sounds like you have endometriosis, we are going to schedule you for a laparoscopy. My first appointment there and she did what Erin wouldn't do for 4+ years!!!!! Well I had my laparoscopy yesterday and guess what. I had endometriosis and they burned it off. I cried real tears knowing my pain was validated and real and that stupid bitch Erin, fucked with my mind and emotions. Seriously, fuck this shady ass place and fuck Erin. The wait is always long, and I had an appt at 2pm to check my glucose so I show up 20 mins early and they didn't check me in till 3 pm and guess what they don't don't do glucose tests after 3 pm... so I had to re schedule ... then it's also been 8 days since my medical records request and I kept leaving voicemails and nobody ever replies. I go in person and they still has the audacity to be like "did we call you that they we're ready?" Uhh no but you sure do call when there is a bill due ... ughhh read more

I love Dr. Gillaspy and the staff! I've been seeing the Dr for years now and they are fantastic. Always run on time and very easy to talk to and ask questions. They have several offices and have fit me for emergencies same day. Highly recommend! read more

Dr Westerband was very warm, professional and knowledgeable. I found the 15 min wait time reasonable for such a large practice as I've waited on average 1-2 hrs beyond my appt time at other OB clinics around town (especially at UMC!). I also appreciate the efficiency and lack of wasted time chit chatting before the exam. As all physicians do a thorough review of their patient's medical history before even entering the room, spending time asking me questions is really for the patient and not them, and I'd rather be in and out and on with my day! If you want an OB that's more of a hand-holding psychiatrist then this is not the place for you...but as someone who spends an inordinate amount of time in doctors' offices, I appreciate the efficient and effective care. read more
