Two years after we had a repair at our home they came after us claiming we never paid. Despite the fact they collect 1/2 before they start and the other 1/2 upon completion. They were hoping we didn't have a record of the payment and threatened to send it to collections even after I told them I had proof of payment. Never again. read more

Quoted me over $6000 for a standard water heater a toilet repair and rep replacing a kitchen faucet I provided. Had all the work done by another plumber for under $2300. These guys are major rip off artist. And someone else told me they charged them a $1000 to replace a hot and a cold shut off under their bathroom sink. Highway robbery if you ask me. Terrible experience for our vacation home. The salesman, Dylan, said that he guaranteed a one day job for all new duct work and AC unit relocation. We only agreed to give Frank Gay Services the job because of this promise of one day because we are on vacation this week for our Anniversary at the location and thought one day is no big deal to take away from our time there, so we hired them. The crew did not complete the job in one day, which was Friday, and couldn't come back to finish until the following Monday. We had to leave the location because we had no AC at all. An hour and half drive to get to our primary home. Monday came, my husband drove back to the location alone. He stayed all day with the crew leaving me behind. By Monday night, the job was still not complete and my husband drove all the way back home again. Tuesday morning, once again, my husband drove all the way back. We are now on day 5 of interrupting our vacation for this company and they still cannot tell us if they will be done by today. They over promised and under delivered. We will never use this company again and I do NOT recommend their services to anyone and will be very vocal letting others know to beware and avoid using this company. Please be careful with this company. Price was high but we thought was a good company. NOT SO ! I was assured all permits were taken out, done on line and we would get a copy. NONE gotten. They never contacted Ormond Permit dept. I was charged 10,200.00 . took them 2 days They left things undone. Light fixture /fan & switch ever installed ( Told by electrician they forgot and would get one, never came back), Screws missing from electric box Lucky we used a credit card and I was able to put a dispute or we would have been out of luck. Manager has never called me back and still no permit . Week has gone by. I am 84 and my husband is 92. This has been hard on us. read more

It didn't start out so great with the first crew who came to do a deep cleaning of the ducts. I called and spoke with Brandon. He understood my situation and worked with me to resolve the issues I reported. He sent out Joe and Preston the next day. They did a fantastic job! I had them out 5 times, my ac unit is 10 years old. Each time they said it was a part which ended up costing me $3850. Then on the last visit they said it was going to cost another $2800 to fix it. Not once did they say hey this part could fix the issue but we cannot guarantee. In the beginning they said that it will be either 2800 to fix a leak or 12k to replace it. Well of course due to financial reasons I chose the lesser of the two. Again thinking it would fix the issue. In the end we did choose to replace it and wish I would have gone with another company. They charged $14K for my small 4 bedroom house less than 1200 sq foot. They did take off the $3800, but they gave me a 9.99% with a credit score of 800 and they said they could not give me the better financing because I got a discount. I also questioned because I was quoted preciously for 12K and called and spoke to the manager and said $3800 from 12k does not equal $10k you are charging me he said that the original quote I got a discount on and he could not give me a double discount. I explained that his cost is double of other companies he laughed. I would not use them. If you do get a second quote! The only reason I have two stars is because one of the service techs and the installers were really nice. read more

My water bill suddenly increased drastically and stayed up, so I called Frank Gaye for a plumbing consultation. The inspector felt there were leaks in the bathroom showers, so we scheduled the repair. A few days later, Sergio Torres from Frank Gaye repaired the leaks in the pipes behind the wall. Two weeks later, I was still waiting for him to repair the drywall in the laundry room where he accessed the pipes. Four weeks later and there was a new leak, but only after a shower followed by a puddle on the floor afterwards. Mr Torres returned and repaired that leak but would talk to his boss about the situation as he didn't know how to fix it. Still not done. It's now been two months since the first repair and my water bill has not gone down. I still apparently have a leak somewhere, a huge hole in my wall, and a hole in my checkbook to match. read more

They entice you to sign up when you try to cancel they won't confirm in writing that you cancel and then they'll continue running your card I tried canceling multiple times and each time they give me a run around I had to change my credit card as a result of this scam. Now they are sending me collection notices to try to continue running the scam stay away! read more

I had a great experience today with an HVAC technician from Frank Gay. He was extremely professional, polite, fast and efficient. The price was on the high side but they worked with us to break the work up. Labor is expensive. Good help is hard to find and while they may not be the cheapest in town this is my second experience with Frank Gay and I will continue using them when I can afford to. read more

wanted over $800 to replace 3 flappers in my toilets. I about fell over and told them no way, I'll just do it myself. I paid $10 a piece for flappers and replaced them myself within 2 minutes. just needed to take old one out and pop new one in. what a bunch of scam artists trying to take advantage of people. The salesman was nice but it was obvious the company forced him to try to sell things like warranties, check ups etc. how these people sleep at night is beyond me. oh, and they constantly send me texts and constant emails trying to sell their product, I wish they would stop. read more

I had a ceiling fan that I wanted to have repaired, so I googled "ceiling fan repair Ormond Beach" and Frank Gay was the top result. I called and explained I wanted to get my ceiling fan repaired, and the scheduler arranged a service call to quote on repairing the ceiling fan. She explained the $39 fee for the service call/diagnosis/estimate. When the technician arrived, I showed him the fan and stated I wanted a quote on repairing it. He immediately replied, "We don't repair ceiling fans...we only replace them." So since he was here, I had him follow through with a quote on replacing the fan, which was astronomical. So I'm perturbed that from my viewpoint, I was charged $39 under false pretenses. This wasn't the technician's fault; he should NOT have been dispatched when the company doesn't even offer the service I requested. Under the circumstances, I believe the right thing to do would be to refund my $39, so I made that request at least three separate times, and it was summarily ignored. Accordingly, I've crossed Frank Gay off my list of services I'd use again. read more

I would give zero stars if that were an option!!! I've had three separate issues with this company. I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt only for them to consistently disappoint. They have not shown up for appointments, connected a new Chandler incorrectly in the switch box to which I had to have them come back out to fix. The final straw was tonight with failure to show up at a scheduled time to look at a heating issue. Save time money and aggravation go anywhere else! I should have checked the reviews first because they are all true. Pushy salesperson who quoted outrageous prices for HVAC. Presented a "receipt " for my husband to sign for the quick fix they did - which also had a contract attached to it. Had to send certified letter because they won't respond to my email nor have they ever sent the itemized receipt for the work done on the "89 dollar service charge visit " that quickly became a 200 dollar charge. They quoted us 12k to 20k for a system that we got other estimates for in the 8k range. Stay far away from this company! read more

They charged me 1100 for 30 minutes of work to fix 3 outlets and a porch light, now my back light and dining room light dont turn on. I called back the same day to complain about being overcharged and my two lights not working after their electeician came and frank gays office said they would call me back, im still waiting. Way way overpriced. Hector was great but Frank Gays prices are out of this world so unless you're rich, don't bother. He used about $5 worth of parts on a 45 minute job and charged me $619. He did fix it, at least so far it's working, so I'll give him that. I should've stuck with my previous electrician but I wanted to shop around...huge mistake this time. Oh, they advertise a $39 diagnostic fee but the second he got started it was $357 fee. Then he found a problem in my fuse panel so he replaced a fuse for another almost $300 fee. AVOID!!! read more

It was absolutely laughing at the guy, that came Kenneth, was his name first name, this is absolutely gonna make y'all laugh.
