This company and it's technicians are excellent. I've been using them since 2007 when they moved my unit from the attic to my garage and recently used them for a new Carrier unit. Great honest company. I first called them several years ago for a second opinion, saved me over 6k. Other company said I need a new unit, nope, just an honest repair technician. Still using that same unit. Called yesterday afternoon for a problem and they came right out this AM. I already am sitting cool. This is where the honesty comes in. Internet said it could be a simple problem or a major issue costing between 600 and 2,000 dollars to repair. How would I know which one? Our house has two a/c units, the main one of which is now 11 years old. Four years ago it went out and we called Igloo. They came quickly, were polite, professional, and fast. I knew the basics, but not a ton about a/c units. They quickly diagnosed a low cost repair and had it up and running within 30 minutes. The same unit started going out again in the current heat. We called them again and got the same great outcome, fast, professional, and inexpensive repair without trying to make it seem like a bigger issue or that it just needed to be completely replaced now. Jim at Igloo Air in Ormond Beach came out, assessed the issues with our 17 year old AC unit that was no longer blowing cold air (this was on a Thursday)...he applied for permits, and got a crew in here first thing Monday to completely change out the internal and external unit, and upgrade everything to code. He's a good guy and a straight shooter. We had gone through several service calls from Total Comfort (AC, plumbing, lighting and fan changes, dryer venting) and we had gotten tired of being billed by the hour for time they spent driving from their dispatch location on through until after they left the community. My AC went out in May holiday weekend at the beginning of the worst possible time in Florida, well maybe August is the worst, what have you. Richard and his son came out and found that I had a leak in the coils and my fan had broken in the axle. Thanks to the both of them my problem was fixed quickly and now I have cold air again. A/C stopped working. It never breaks Monday thru Friday but stopped late at night. Called at 8:00 am Saturday,left a call back number. Jim called back within 1 hour and was at my house to fix the problem which was a faulty capacitor. Jim said the part was under warranty and I was only charged a low service fee. I would highly recommend them. read more

I got 3 estimates for replacing my HVAC. I chose igloo bc the owner came himself to do the estimate, he really knew his stuff, on time, and it was about $1000 less than the other 2 estimates. Now its one month later, my house is icy cold, i just got my first FPL bill, and its ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS LESS than usual, and its been hotter than the devil outside. WORST SERVICE EVER! after being 3 hours late to my home. The fat slob that runs the business, Jim Silvernail, told me I needed to replace my AC unit (and gave me a unreasonable price to replace it) after only looking at it for 5 minutes. I called another company who took a good look at the unit and said I had a leak in a pressure gauge and they replaced it for free. These people are just trying to make a quick buck by tricking people into saying their AC unit is broken. Very very poor. read more

We have used Igloo Air since 2004 when they replaced our A/C system after the hurricanes. We live close to the beach, and needed a new system in 2015, and they installed that one too. I have used Igloo Air for all of my home air filtering and air conditioning for the past 15 years. The quality of these professionals is great. They are so willing to go above and beyond for their customers. My AC failed over the 4th of July weekend.
