I put a review in prior on this company. Their response is terrible. If this is their customer service and the way they treat their customers on a normal basis to insult them publicly without even an apologize for what they did. I would hope that maybe they would go and receive some customer service skills at a college or take management skills training, which should include your customer service training skills, their response still does not answer why they did what they did and overcharged us when they weren't even here for the time they stated and added time on to the ticket and did not clearly charge us and by reading other people's complaints. They are very similar problems. I am not going to continue conversation with this company. I would just hope that someone in the company that is higher in management and has better skills to resolve problems might take a look at what people are really saying about their company. read more

In response to Clay, the only reason I got the refund is because I filed a complaint with my credit card company for fraud. Your office manager refused to help me. My unit failed right after this and my new a/c company advised it was the kickstart that was installed that blew my system. Due to the system being older there was no recourse for a legal pursuit. Everyone I talk to says the same thing about Davis brothers, they were great a decade ago but they seemed to have grown too large and their techs are horrible now. It starts with the top. So to recap: Davis brothers solicited a a/c cleaning that they didn't do, then they installed a part that I didn't approve and he never showed me the part (I found the package in the trash after the fact and that's when I complained). While doing that he damages my thermostat wire causing my thermostat to fry. I called the office manager who told me tough lucky, you refused to talk to me, the kickstart that I didn't authorize blows my a/c unit and the only reason I got a refund was because I filed a fraud complaint with my credit card company. I would of pursued this legally but I do litigation for a living and it would be tough to show value in an older A/C unit but my new A/C company confirmed all the damage and lack of work Davis brothers did. Very shameful. You can lie to people reading the reviews but your techs neglect and lack of knowledge cost me $8,000. **** Clay you are pathetic! Attached is the proof. Here is the dispute letter from the credit card companies refunding me advises they are going to contact your company for their money. Also attached is the filthy air handler after you "cleaned" it and the damaged thermostat wire after your techs stomped it. FYI I don't have a NEST thermostat, as you can see in the picture but I am sure you will now say ecobees fail all the time too. So the top 2 integrated thermostat both sucks? I would post the findings from the A/C company that repaired/replaced everything, but I don't want them involved because they are an incredible company. You never once tried to make this right and won't just admit you messed up. I repeat your tech never once showed me the kick start as I didn't want a kickstart. You never addressed why your tech had me do a 5 star review before he started the job! So yes I say your company has no integrity. The only reason I posted anything in the first place is because your tech forced me to give a 5 star review before he would start the job. This is all on your guys for screwing up. Just own it. A simple apology is what most businesses would of done when they are dead to rights with being wrong. I hope you realize with every argument you make it's makes you look worse. read more

Went with friend who had business with Davis brothers and we were not allowed in the office. I found it unprofessional to stand in a hot dusty garage while employee went into office to get our questions answered. I haven't noticed any other businesses not letting customers in or they may ask for masks to be worn. When I called for estimate for water damage I was told they can't get supplies for 48 weeks so they weren't doing quotes. I purchased my unit from them about 3 years ago and already had to replace a compressor. Doesn't say much for the quality of the unit. I won't go back but since they got my money I doubt they will miss my business. read more

Super install on a new furnace from Davis Bros. My old HVAC broke down and I left message at Davis Bros. at 10pm on a Tuesday. Cari called me the very next day and gave me a 9am appointment that day. Got new furnace installed same day with 7 man crew that had a great leader named Casey. They worked in parallel on several items at the same time and install was finished in just over 3 hours. Beautiful. They even added some topsoil around the new outside unit part. The other service personnel were David, JD, Jose, Patrick, Nick and Kevin. Thanks guys. Also I did notice that the more experienced guys were instructing the less experienced - great process to have skillful tech's. Davis Bros. is a well oiled machine. read more

This is a combined review of past and present. Past, they did great work on my A/C Unit even though they had to make a 2nd trip due to the copper pipe not being sealed properly the 1st time and all the Freon leaked out, which they refilled with no issue the 2nd time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As of Today, 24 May 2021, informed them I need a tune-up, which I was sent an email that states the following in an email: Robert, We are a month and a half out scheduling our tune ups. We recommend you call DG Meyer or Total comfort and they will assist you for your a/c needs. Thanks! Purchased a pool heater from Davis Brothers. Had a parts warranty for 7 years. After 4 years had problems. Service was complete in about an hour. Was charged over $400 for the service and parts anyway. I asked what about the warranty? Was told the girls at the office have got to package and return the items so parts were not covered. Wish I had a job to put two small items in a box and charge $300 !!!!! We will be purchasing a new HVAC system this year. Davis Brothers need not apply. read more

Called for a tune up for $50, tech found a leak. At that point he said it's now a service call and said it's $130. I have a home warranty company so didn't need him to fix anything. He never did the tune up. My filters, pipes, pan are still dirty. He did nothing for $130 other than tell me there is a leak. Buyer beware the "tune up" for $50, because as soon as they find anything, it turns into a "service call" for $130 with no tune up. Taking advantage of people during a financial crisis/pandemic is dispicable. read more

Website claims unbeatable customer service. Well, we spoke with Carrie Pepper this morning and it's clear she "didn't get the memo". We are searching for quotes for a new a/c unit. Despite already having a quote and knowing exactly what we need, she insisted that we couldn't speak with anyone (sales or service) or get any quotes without a service call, which of course incurs a large fee. I believe that the front line staff represents the quality and service level of the company. Based on that, we do not recommend!! read more

I called Davis Brothers after waiting 3 days for another company to arrive. The woman Joni who answered the phone was very helpful and the technician Nate showed up at my home with in 45 minutes of my call. The tech was very professional and quickly diagnosed the problem.The issue was fixed and my home was cooling within 2 hours of my original call to the company. I wish I had not wasted my time waiting for another company, going forward this is the only place I will call for A/C issues. read more

Huge shout out to Davis Bros for their excellent service today!!!! I called because I noticed my A/C unit was not working correctly while playing hide and seek with my grandson. I was in the garage hiding when I heard the unit struggling. I called and they had a guy out in less than an hour. He diagnosed it quickly as being the motor not working, had the part on his truck to fix it and was back up and running 100% in less than an hour and a half from the time I placed the call. Sir, that is totally incorrect. Your estimator met with me and he didn't call her until after he'd left and decided he wasn't going to provide service. So you can say whatever you'd like but the truth is, he came inside, walked outside then drove away. And your tech never had to pack up anything because he never unpacked anything. All he did was walk to the side of the and leave. He didn't call until after driving away, and by then I spoke with my sister and said go with someone else so if and when he called it was a no go. I don't care how many excuses you make, Davis Brothers lacks professionalism unless you're in a certain group. read more

They were on time and gave a great quote. A few days after he recieved a small gift as a thank you for being a customer with cookies in it! An appointment was made and confirmed for 3 pm for a tune up and to have a tech look at a concrete pad that was poorly installed when they put in my new air conditioner. The tech called and wanted to come an hour early because he said that was what he was scheduled for. I told him that was not the scheduled time and that I was already leaving work early to accommodate the 3pm appointment. He said he would rearrange his schedule and be there at 3. A half hour later, Carrie who claimed to be a manager, called and said either accept the earlier appointment or they were going to cancel and come another day. When asked why, she said the tech was running early and she was giving my scheduled time to someone else. I told her this was unacceptable as I had an appointment and I rearranged my work day to be available for them. She said that was my only option. I said I was going to cancel and I would not be using them in the future and that I would tell my neighbors not to use them too. When I said this, she said she would make a tech available to come out between 3-4 today. Interesting that I was told I must leave work early or they'll give my scheduled appointment to someone else (because their tech was running early) but when I told her I would share my experience and tell others not to use them, they suddenly had someone available. What was once a good company has really shown how much they've changed and how poorly they treat their customers. read more

He fixed the problem with some re-wiring and went to the roof to check the main unit. His explanation of the problem was detailed and explained in understandable context. Very impressed! This review is so overdue! David from Davis Bros is the best customer service representative I've met in a long (unfortunately!) time. He is so knowledgeable and professional, on top of being an authentic person--respectful and kind. He recommended the ultraviolet light be put into the air conditioning unit, and my allergies have been so much better, almost gone (while I'm inside, anyways!)! We are on the maintenance plan with Davis Bros, which means they come twice a year to inspect the air conditioning, giving us great peace of mind.
