My mom was Scheduled for arm surgery with him and had very bad complications he did not even get to do the surgery because they did something wrong with the anesthesia we don't know what happened to her while she was in there with them she came out throwing up blood with a black bruised tounge and alot of pain they threw her out 30 min after "surgery" with out any discharge papers and my mom said no one even had Mouth covers in the Operating room .The Nurse that administered the anesthesia just caries all the bottles in a Fanny pack so unhygenic . They told me she had so much Aspiration and thats why they didnt proceed with the surgery yet they didn't send her directly to the ER to be seen instead they just told her to go home. Aspiration is very dangerous and you can die from that it's when your lungs get filled with stomach fluid that literally can burn your lungs and can lead to infection which is exactly what happened to my mom if it wasn't for us taking her right away to the ER she could have died she already had her lungs infected from waiting over night because the doctor said she was fine . Her Nurse said she was throwing up sooo much and they tried to blame and say my mom has eaten too much when my mom had not eaten a single thing 24 hours prior to surgery then they had nothing to say about that . They thought that just because my mom doesn't speak English no one was gonna say anything but they are very unprofessional. DO NOT COME HERE!!! Also they are just greedy they don't even see you for more than 5 min in the appointments they basically just have you sign off so they can get their pay from the insurance read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This Dr is a total creep. My appointment that I waited months to get was a complete waste of my time. I can honestly say I have never felt more dehumanized and less seen by a Doctor in my life and as a female POC that's saying a lot. I was his last appointment of the day and waited approx 45 mins to be seen (not complaining about that but still annoying). He walks in the room followed by a young female intern or student ( I'm not really sure TBH because he spoke so quickly). I also wasn't aware that my appt would be a teaching moment for someone else nor did he ask for my consent for her to be there. Without saying another word to me he looks at the X-rays that I brought and begins telling her about my condition then starts blabbering on about his accomplishments in identifying this same condition when he was in med school and how he was the only one in his class to identify it properly... blah blah blah. It became abundantly clear that he was fishing for compliments from this very young cute blonde student. So he continues to sit face to face with her talking about me as if I wasn't literally sitting in pain 4 feet away. Finally he turns to me and gruffly instructs me to lie on the exam table. Now I've had this condition for 29 years since I was a kid and I've seen countless Orthos about it over the years but never have I had one just grab and manipulate my leg without warning... Without a "hey let me know if this hurts you at all" nothing. He didn't even look at me just kept his focus on the pretty little student while painfully bending and twisting my hip. Pointing out my extremely limited range of movement as he cranked my leg to it's limits. He continued to rattle on about stories of his "amazingness" to this young lady... Just completely stroking his own ego. It was so gross and uncomfortable for both myself and her. Anytime I tried to interject and actually talk about me,...ya know the patient sitting here needing help, he completely ignored me. No acknowledgement whatsoever, didn't even glance in my direction. The student however would attempt to acknowledge me and look in my direction when I spoke but she couldn't do anything to make him stop talking to her about himself. And had to just nod and smile/giggle and bat her eyes. It was so unprofessional and rude. I felt like I was intruding on a date, he was that obvious. I couldn't even speak or advocate for myself. In the end he finally turned and looked at me said there was nothing he could do to help and would send out a referral for injections...bye. No follow up (not that I would ever go back to him anyways) and no PT referral. Wasted months of my time to see this creep of a Dr. I'm sure if you're an attractive young girl he'll be great at giving you the time of day but if you're not his "type" it's best to avoid this creep all together and see a Dr who cares about medicine and not just getting into someone's scrubs. read more

Dr. Giacobetti examined my knee and instantly gave me a diagnosis and sent me for an MRI to confirm his diagnosis. He was right, I had a meniscus tear. I was scheduled for surgery and one week later I was walking with no pain and within six weeks I was completely healed and back to working out. It had been 8 months in pain with no answers. I'm forced to see him through workers comp. and I don't know if he'd be better if it wasn't through workers comp. but he's not very good. I was upset more people don't write reviews about dr.'s on here. It would be so helpful if everyone would write about their experience with their dr.'s of any kind. So if you have a choice don't go see this dr. He rushes you, you practically have to beg him for medication, and I had to beg for a new knee brace that was WAY to large. It took two visits of asking to get medication and I'm still waiting on the knee brace. Also the office he works out of is ghetto and the people working there, don't care about patients. I'm on crutches and a immobilizer and asked if they could hold my MRI's because I had a lot to carry NOT TO MENTION I'M CRIPPLED, well she ignored me. HEED THE WARNING!!! read more

I watched him as he saw his patients and it took him about 5 minutes to see each patient. I saw him and it took him less than 5 minutes to see me on each time I had an appointment. He does not take the time to listen, or ask questions. At the end, aspirin was what I was told to take and physical therapy. I did not learn much about my condition (how, in 5 minutes???) and now I must see another doctor. What a waste of money and time. I received a knee injury from a dance competition. The pain was in the medial (inner) side of the knee which I TOLD directly to him. He did some very quick "tests" and said that I had a tear on the LATERAL (outer) side of my knee and then left the office without me asking any questions. He then scheduled me for an MRI two weeks later. Wow. Coincidentally, he said it was a meniscus and not a ligament. A meniscus tear usually warrants surgery more-so than a ligament. How convenient. I even told him that I felt a "pop", which usually means ligament. I definitely will not come back. I do not trust his judgement. *UPDATE* I have got a second opinion from another professional. After getting an MRI, they only found that it was a sprain on my MCL. Definitely not a meniscus tear. Please avoid this doctor. read more

We visited the new office in Anaheim Hills to have them look at my wife elbow which is been bugging her for the last few months. The doctor did a MRI and during our office visit immediately knew what was bugging her and took care of it right on the spot and the problem went away immediately. After a terrible fall that fractured my pelvis in two places. I was assigned Dr Giacobetti by workers comp. This Dr is rude to the office staff as I sat in a room I could hear him barking demands to the staff. I happen to have a rare genetic illness I made him aware of, he didn't know what it was which I was fine with but wouldn't take no from me as he requested I get a cat scan. I explained this rare brain lesion condition I have loves to multiply with radiation and or weaken making these brain lesion bleed out. I would prefer a MRI unless this is a life threatening condition. After three weeks and a MRI I went for a follow up. If I didn't ask for the report myself he wasn't going to make mention to me at all that my illness is now in my spine as well. Not small at all these two lesions are 1.7cm and the second one larger then that. He was the ordering Dr and it was his job to inform me. Mutually we both agreed I be seen by another Dr. BE YOUR OWN BEST ADVOCATE. JUST BECAUSE HE HAS SIX YEARS OF MEDICAL SCHOOL DOES NOT MEAN HE IS GOOD/GOD. I HAVE HAD THIS RARE ILLNESS FOR 15 YEARS WHICH TRUMPS HIS SCHOOLING. MY TEAM OF DR'S ARE AT DUKE UNIVERSITY, UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO AND SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY. This is absolute worst medical experience of my life (and this says something because as a teen my appendix burst)... I always try to say something nice but in this instance I can't at all. I was referred to Skylar Orthopedics because of a legal case I had from a car accident which means I didn't have a choice in the doctor I went to. The frist aplointment where I was evaluated was fairly quick and painless, I was sent to get an MRI, Physical Therapy, and given orders to return in a month for another evaluation and MRI results...after that is when it got bad. Followup appointments are only done 2 days a week every other week....so if you have a normal job it can be difficult to schedule because they book almost 6 weeks in advance. First follow up appointment, I waited 2 hours in the wait room (note I showed up 15 mins early for my appointment) then I had to leave because I had to get back to work. So I was given another appointment a month out. Second try for a follow up appointment, I walk in the office to an overfilled wait room and am told it will be almost a 3 hour wait. So I say thanks but no thabks abd manage to get an appointment for 2 weeks later (where I take the day off). Third try, I get there am told I'm not scheduled for that day but the next day (apparently there was a scheduling mix up or something on their end) but as I have taken the day off I tell them I will gladly sit there and wait. 2 hours later the doctor has gone on lunch and I am told I'll need to go back the next day. Oh hell no. At this point I ask if I can see someone else or get my results mailed to me but am told no it HAS to be this doctor.... So I get an appointment schedule for 4 weeks out only to be called a week later and told the doctor is not going to be in that day so I need to reschedule. This was right before Christmas and to schedule an appointment you have to call a special number they can't do it at the office...and apparently the scheduling department takes a full month off around the holidays. This means it took me 5 weeks to reschedule my appointment. It has now been 6 months since my first follow up was supposed to happen and I just finished what is now my first followup and FINAL consultation with this doctor. I took the day off and scheduled the first appointment of the day, 9:30am. At 9:15 I arrived and the doctor was on his way. At 10:00 I was still sitting in a now overcrowded waiting room because the doctor was "a few minutes out". At 10:15 I was shown into a room and waited about 10 minutes (not bad at all considering everything else) until the doctor came in, ask me three questions, said I was good and told me I can leave. I spent less than five minutes with him... The point of all this is to say it took me 6 months and almost 12 hours a waiting room a waiting room to get a sheet of paper telling me I'm ok..... read more

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Giacobetti! My back was starting to become really bothersome and began developing severe back problems, I had been seeing another doctor but saw no progressive results after 4 months. I brought it up to a friend of mine who referred me to Dr. G, complete.game.changer. Now, with regards to time, when I arrived...yes the clinic was packed and yes it was approx. a 45 minute wait which can put your patience to the test BUT it was 10000% worth my while. Dr. G is extremely personable, nice, and genuinely cares. Within minutes of speaking to him I already had a diagnosis/treatment plan. The staff was also extremely nice and answered all of my questions. They mentioned that they even provide in house transportation. Like I said, there is a wait...but in hindsight, would you rather wait a little and get positive results? OR get seen in 5 minutes but have to continue going back because no progress has been made? This "Orthopedic Surgeon" isn't even worth the one star. First of all, when I went to my appt I waited 2 hours to see him for less than 5 minutes. After, he told me I needed surgery to think about what I wanted to do. A couple hours later (5pm) he calls and tells me he has an open slot for surgery the next morning (8am). No pressure right. Everything was good until I was released 11/2/15 ( at around 1pm) and I received this text. Never did I give him my phone number personally or any other impression of anything else. I only filled out the paperwork where I wrote down my personal information for billing purposes. This makes me think if he goes through any other patients and gets personal information. See for yourself. This is a clear hippa violation (picture has been attached). I even googled the number and it's his personal cell phone. Lastly, with him getting my personal information from my file for his own personal gain I wonder if anything happened when I was put under during my surgery. I would suggest avoid him at all cost. I wish I had never trusted this guy. He was at Sharp Treatment in Torrance in 2012 when he convinced me that he could fix my knee problem-meniscal tears which had resulted from a fall. I could never find him to talk to because he was at several different practices one day a week, and it ended up that I had to go to a really dumpy surgery center in Paramount for the procedure. He didn't show up til 2 hours after I was scheduled. He told me the surgery was successful and he "removed a little arthritis" My dressing fell off during the night and I called the emergency number all the next day and no one answered. Fortunately, I had a friend who is a nurse and she helped me with the dressing. He gave me very bad aftercare instructions, telling me to do 90 leglifts starting 2 days after the surgery, which another doctor told me was totally wrong, nothing strenuous while stitches are in place. I started walking a few blocks three days after the surgery, and had lots of pain. It got a little better after the stitches came out, but I still was having pain months after the surgery, though I had done all the physical therapy and walking as recommended. The last time I saw him, he told me I might just have to learn to live with the pain, and that was the big sign for me that something was very wrong. Another doctor at Sharp recommended some chiroporactic work, and I tried that. Dr. Giacobetti was suddenly gone from Sharp Treatment and no one there would tell me where he had gone. I tried different physical therapy, cortisone injections, Hyalin injections and finally another ortho told me to have an MRI-which showed that Dr. Giacobetti had not removed a "little arthritis"-but the entire meniscus on the left side of my knee between the tibia and the femur. So I have bone-on-bone there which is extremely painful-and it is recommended that I have a partial knee replacement-which is major surgery and very costly. But when all you do is workers comp, malpractice law suit options are few. He did rotator cuff surgery on my partner. It failed and did more damage when the anchors came undone. Giocobetti never responded to multiple complaints of severe neck pain, assuring us it was from wearing a sling for the rotator cuff injury....... which was for an extended period of time because he was on vacation and did not follow up timely. After changing surgeons, having a second surgery to correct Giocobetti's butcher job, the new surgeon diagnosed the neck pain and there was severe damage......now permanent damage to the spine. I work at another doctors office and was trying to get a fax number to request records for one of our personal injury patients. How anyone even gets an appointment scheduled at one of there offices is questionable. They have 12 prompts once the phone is answered, there are no live people, no one picks up, if you want to talk to the operator press 9, guess what, you have chosen an incorrect response. In searching on line to see if I could find any information, I checked out Yelp, no surprise here, I haven't seen a single positive review. I am supposed to be seeing DR Giacobetti in the Fontana office. My appt was at 3:30 it's 5:33 now. I just worked 17 hours then went to class for 10 hours. I asked the girls if I had time to take a nap in my car if he was running behind and they said I'll be going in in just a few minutes. I have asked twice more and they said almost. There are now 27 people in the long waiting. This is ridiculous I will never come back here again, no patient consideration. read more

I was referred by a urgent care office after breaking my toe. The doctor at urgent care told me the bone was shattered therefore taping it would not do a thing to assist the healing process and to make a appointment right away with Dr Giacobetti. I did and got an appointment for the next day. When I arrived, I waited for over 2 hours in the ghetto office with, in my opinion, very unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Once I was finally seen, the doctor spent less than 90 seconds with me. I had taken my CD with the X-Ray I had gotten at urgent care and he didn't even look at it. He glanced at my toe and told me he thought it would be fine and he told me to tape it, and to follow up with my regular doctor if it still hurt in a month or so. When I told him what the urgent care doctor told me about the bone being shattered and taping not an appropriate choice in this instance he talked down to me and told in no uncertain terms that he is a orthopedic specialist and knows better what my toe needed. I had to ask for a medical shoe which he begrudgingly agreed to. The nurse came in with one that was way too small and told me it was the one I needed. I left the office quite furious at the whole experience. It has been a month now and I went to my family practice doctor because my toe still hurts. He took one look at X-Ray on the CD I took from urgent care said the bone is shattered and taping was not going to do a thing. Then he asked why I hadn't seen a orthopedic specialist...I told him I had seen one...the one recommended by urgent care and I told him what happened. He told me the very same thing the urgent care doctor told me. My family doctor ordered new X-Rays and the results are in...the toe is still shattered and has not healed at all. According to my family doctor there are parts of bone poking through places they shouldn't be. He has referred me to a specialist, one he knows well and trusts. read more
