PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING…read more This is long overdue. I tried not leaving this review, but the public has to know. I don't deserve what I'm going through with my perfect credit score being over 740. This vehicle has a recall since 2019, but the dealership doesn't touch anything aftermarket, it has to be stock. When I first saw the vehicle, I checked the engine light since it was deleted. I barely saw enough since I didn't want to be caught. Now that I have the vehicle, there's more than what I expected. Again, bring an engine code reader, don't go by what they say. I'm spending over $1,200, and there's a lot more I'm having to pay to get my valve springs repaired which is around $800-$1,600 to fix. So yeah, I'm one "happy" customer alright. I already replaced the fuel filler neck and charcoal canister that was causing the fueling up the gas tank problem, and now the most expensive one yet is my valve springs that's causing a lot of things to go wrong with my ride. I got crapped on, big time time. I surely hope everyone double and triple CHECKS ANY vehicle before buying. Don't just go by what anyone says at all. That is all. Thank you.

We will be sure to check his inventory in the future when we need to replace our other vehicle. We felt like he gave us a very fair price and good value for our trade in. Thank you!!!!!

Not a customer but after my positive experience here, I might just become one one day! I…read moreexperienced a tire blow out the other night & this was the only open & well lit place in the immediate area. The front desk team was so nice & even let me wait in their (very nice) waiting room while I waited on roadside assistance, which wasn't going well. Andrew, an employee actually ended up changing my tire for me ON HIS BREAK, which I thought was such an above & beyond action, so because of this whole inconvenient situation that turned out to be so lovely, I plan to revisit this Carmax for when I'm ready to become an actual customer. Thanks Andrew & Carmax Irving Team!

Made a yelp account specifically to not recommend this store. I bought a car from here and…read moreimmediately had problems (puncture in the tire, needed a new catalytic converter, replacement of different hoses). It was all covered under warranty, but no one has had ANY urgency to help you once they've sold the car. It has been a nightmare scheduling appointments and actually getting any work done. I've heard from four separate employees that "we'll give you a call back" and then never heard from any of them. This car was supposed to have been done yesterday but they had delays of course. I've currently been sitting in the store for 4 hours because an employee told me it would be done 4 hours ago (still not done, I guess the tech never picked up the needed part). The lack of communication between employees, techs, and managers is actually mind blowing. The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because the service manager has actually been trying to help us, but it has still been a painfully long process to repair the brand new car I bought.

The entire buying process was smooth, transparent, and much less stressful than I expected. A huge thank you to my salesperson, Kimmy. He was knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to answer every question I had. He made sure I found the perfect car for me a 2026 Kia K5 GT-Line with red leather seats and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. He never made me feel pressured and genuinely cared about making sure I was comfortable with every step of the process. The entire team made buying my new car an exciting and enjoyable experience. If you're looking for excellent customer service and a dealership that truly takes care of its customers, I highly recommend Clay Cooley Kia. Be sure to ask for Kimmy, you won't be disappointed!

Besides James Carr being a very professional and stand up guy! This local is by FAR the ABSOLUTE…read moreWORST UNPROFESSIONAL place you can get a car. 5 months later - no one knows where my registration sticker is - the clerk that files for all the stickers is ALWAYS out on "Vacation" so NO ONE knows where nothing is. The Manager I might add is INCOMPETENT AF!! Put me on hold for 30 minutes just to go back in a loop to the operator who hate their jobs. So I'm sure they told the "Manager" I was calling again to see where my sticker is AGAIN. When the manager answered he says"I have you on caller ID" great, so you will note that I'm calling every time so no one can answer a simple question of "who has my registration sticker"... If you can sell your cars and have incompetent management that can't answer BASIC questions because this is your job. Then don't sell cars. Yall are so busy twiddling your thumbs and screening calls. I know when I first got my car, they were pissed because I didn't go for all the EXTRA fees and so they couldn't get a high commission off of me. Do a better job than being pushy at this point. Mr. James Carr- you were an absolute sweetheart:)
