Best pizza in Plainfield! Their thin crust is a little thicker than your normal, but that's to hold all the fresh toppings and cheese that they pile on. They definitely don't skimp on the cheese or toppings and the sauce is always proportianate with the rest of the pizza Why am I not giving them 5 stars? The only thing worth getting again would be the zucchini sticks. We ordered the franco special in double dough, salad, and cannolis. The dough was like cardboard, the salad was worse than the prepackaged stuff, and the cannolis were gross defrosted and soggy. Won't be going back. read more

We've been going to Franco's Pizza for the past half dozen years, probably tried good 80% of what's on their menu. We normally go with Franco's Special thin crust pizza, fried chicken wings with hot sauce on the side, pastas are always good with extra home-made meatballs. Tiramisu is great! Going back almost a decade, I remember Mr. Franco offering us some fried dough as a newly married couple was contemplating over the menu and trying to figure out what to get. Now, we get birthday parties for both daughters catered from Francos. Oh, their lasagna is also very good...about the only item we did not enjoy was the stuffed pizza, but we are very partial to Chicago style deep dish pizza. Go there if you want good pizzas and pastas, friendly service....and to support local businesses. Thank you Mr. Franco....for many years of great food and friendly service. Let me just say that is you live on the far west side of Joliet, or south Plainfield and are looking for a pizza place, give Franco's a try. It's a small place, basically a pickup/delivery pizza/italian type restaurant - they have pastas, appetizers, salads, sandwhiches, pasta dinners, ribs, chicken, shrimp, There are dinner specials on Tue, Wed, Thur and Sunday. They also do catering and the prices seem pretty reasonable. I tried the thin crust pizza. You know what I like best when I get a think crust pizza....that when you pick up the box it has some weight to it - it's not a skimpy pizza. Franco's thin crust has a lot of toppings and cheese, and it's good. The 16" was larger, it barely fit into the box. Whey they say it feeds 4-5 people, they mean it. I would probably compare their pizza to Beggar's.....both give you a lot for the money. They also get a big plus on customer service. They knew this was my first order, and automatically subtracted a $2 coupon from the total - how's that for trying to build customer loyalty? Two things to note: They are at the corner of County Line Road and Caton Farm Road - the map on Yelp is incorrect. Their printed menu is much easier to read than the menu on the website. It's not close, but since we drive by the area from time to time, we'll be back and I'm going to try the dinners - Linguini with Broccoli and Shrimp, Veal Chicken or Eggplant Parmigiana, Fettuccine Alfredo, Chicken Francese. read more

Ordered delivery for the first (and last) time. Delivery was running very late due to weather (expected but later than.promised), and ordered based on a recommendation from a neighbor. Mushrooms are from a can , peppers are mushy, crust edge is as hard as a rock and the interior is mush too. My bill for two pizzas ( a med and xl with only half toppings) was $46.00. Even my kids did not want second helpings. Huge letdown and not using fresh ingredients. Back to Lou Malnati's next time. Avoid this place unless you like gross soggy stuff. read more
