On other occasions, I've also ordered their sub sandwiches (mostly tuna) which happens to be pretty good and filling. The pizza is also pretty good. They always reheat the slices for u, so that they are hot and ready. Their garlic bread is also good. They always have a soccer/futbol game running on their TV so dine in could be fun and entertaining. The staff there is very dishonest and rude. It is about a too good to go order. According to the app, the pickup window was listed as 9:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. I arrived at 9:58 p.m., which is clearly within the stated pickup time. However, when I arrived, there was no food available. The staff member (presumably the owner) responded with a very rude attitude. He told me it was "ridiculous" for me to come one minute before closing. I explained that I was not aware of their internal closing time -- I only relied on the pickup window provided on the Too Good To Go app. Since the app states that pickup is available until 10:00 p.m., I believe I had every right to arrive before 10:00 p.m. and expect my order to be honored. He then said there was no food left and that if I wanted it, I should come "tomorrow at 9:30." When I asked for a time range instead of an exact minute, he refused and insisted that I must come exactly at 9:30 if I wanted food. He also blamed me for arguing and claimed that because of me, he would get home later. This was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. Additionally, this is not the first time this has happened. I stopped into Franco's on the way home from the Jersey Shore. I picked this spot in particular because they are open until 11:00pm which is later than most of the other pizzerias and it was already close to 9:30pm. The staff was very friendly and inviting. Service was quick and the prices were decent. I went with two plain slices and a pasta slice. The pasta slice was alright. It wasn't really anything special. The plain slices were on point though. They had good sauce and good cheese. The base was thin and crispy. The crust was just the right amount of crispy with a good bready flavor. read more

Stopped in on a whim as I walking by....ordered a slice of pepperoni. The pizza was phenomenal, an unexpected gem tucked in a plaza on a side road. I was in a pizza mood so I tried a slice of pizza at Franco's and Palermo's just down the road. Francis was definitely my favorite. The crust was nice and crispy, the sauce was flavorful with a mix sweetness and tang while the cheese was good quality. The over all atmosphere was better with a more Italian vibe. Just had an incident during lunch with Franco's that was handled poorly. A like backstory, my company has ordered from this place for years since they're so close. Today at lunch we placed an order that included 2 chicken parm half subs. We received 2 meatball subs instead. So the person who ordered the food, gave Franco's a call and explained we received the wrong subs. 20 minutes later, we have a delivery driver asking for the meatball subs back (which we gave away and not instructed to hold) we explained they were given away. The driver explained they wanted payment for the chicken parm subs he was delivering now. Everyone was confused as to why would a restaurant ask for the food back?! To resale it?! Ew! Not a fan. The garlic knots have A LOT of garlic and the oil used leaves an after taste in my mouth for a while. Wouldn't really recommend. And most definitely did NOT enjoy the beef patty. Honestly the meat inside looks and tastes SO fake. read more

I have been a customer for many years. Long time resident in area. My family and I ordered Franco's as a treat because we always loved the authenticity. The wings were always on point with house made blue cheese, and pizza was never lacking. I moved out of area but decided to order tonight while at a friends house. Wings were soggy, no more house made blue cheese, pizza was cold and seemed to lack sauce worse was the person who answered phone to take order was rude. That should of stopped me from ordering. The first thing I ordered from Franco's was Putanesca. It was delicious so I kept ordering more things. I've had their Vodka Pasta, Pasta with Meatball Parm and also Pasta with Sausage & Peppers. I love their pasta! The bread and salad that comes with the food it's also very good. I love how they send everything in a small box, very organized. Unfortunate, horrible experience. I am very surprised by my experience ordering from Franco's. They are usually very pleasant and fast with decent pizza. However today I ordered my usual and it arrived soggy and falling off of the crust. The delivery man told us to keep it and call the pizzeria to request a new pie. When I called, the man who answered the phone was very nasty, cutting me off several times, unnecessarily defensive. I ended up canceling the complaint for fear that he would spit in my new order. We ordered in while staying at a nearby hotel. Delivery was prompt, courteous, and all of the extras like parm cheese were included (I lead with this because nothing like ordering into a hotel and not getting something you asked for!) We ordered a pie with toppings. Authentic NY style pizza. Nice crust, tasty sauce, and the sausage (shaved) and meat balls were good. I also ordered a slice of Sicilian pie -- it was very good (I'm picky and too many are really just thick crust doughy pizza). We'll definitely order again when back in town. Finally visited this place today for the first time. Been meaning to come here for a while now. Today's visit had a lot of ups and downs. For starters, the place looked clean and the staff was friendly, always a plus. However the penne vodka was watery/ diluted and not as thick (pause) as I'm accustomed to; so this made it type bland. Plus the color seemed a lil off to me, sorta orange vs the pink I'm used to (wink)! The veal perm wasn't bad.. they give you a healthy portion of veal which is a plus but they could afford to bump up the amount of cheese and sauce in my opinion. The Caesar salad was weak, wayyy to much dressing, which only made the lettuce AND croutons soggy! The cluck-u wings were delicious but they gave me the wrong flavor! Which was a semi-bummer being that I ordered atomic but got some sort of honey bbq instead. The pizza selection did look enticing though, so there's a chance I may return. read more

I just picked up some food about 2 hours ago. Maybe 2 1/2 over off of Talmadge. Food was super good and had a great presentation. Untill I ate a few more bites. It is so salty my head is burning. I'm not sure why there is so much salt in my meal but it isn't healthy at all. I needed to throw the rest out because my forehead is burning from the amount of salt. Going over to work at FedEx and one of their drivers was parked blocking the handicap parking spots. When I saw him come out of FedEx I approached him and told him he shouldn't park in front and block the handicap spots and that I should have called the police, but informed him that I called his boss. He then yelled at me saying "go ahead, you should do that" so I of course yelled back to which he started cursing, calling me every name in the book. I actually had to back away from him as he started approaching me and I was afraid. They obviously have no respect for handicap people. The local access link came in to pick up handicapped people and they couldn't because this ass felt it was ok to block the spots. Next time, I call the police. In addition I will make sure I post everywhere about this incident. I hope the company does something about this incident. read more

Stayed at a nearby Hotel with no car. It was later (9:00 pm) and while most of the places the front desk recommended were open later, this place was calling my name in the Yelp app and elsewhere. Google Maps said "10 minute walk" so I hit the road walking. Got there in time, greeted warmly, didn't feel rushed. Had a very good experience. You don't know what to expect near closing time anywhere- especially on Easter Eve. I felt very welcomed. Staff encouraged me to take my time and be comfortable. Other diners came in while I was there. Everyone was taken care of very well from what I could see. Lots of slice options available when I walked in. I ordered a whole, medium "Meat Pizza" which had 4 meats on it. Got two bottles of Snapple because they didn't offer bottled water, but that's ok. I'm a Californian in Jersey so I can't expect everything like I'm used too. Besides I was here for an authentic pie. My personal preference though is that I would rather have the calories from the pizza, drinking. Well, the pizza blew me away. It was everything I expected very delicious, freshly prepared and tasty. The medium size I ordered is equivalent to large in my neighborhood pizza place in California. I ate half of it. Took the second half back to the hotel because I have a refrigerator and the cold pizza test comes next. I still want to go back and order a combination pizza. Who's down? For $20.70 I got away with about half of what I would spend at my favorite place in California. This was an excellent pizza, and an excellent dining experience going beyond what I expected. read more

My job ordered from here today. Ican't say anything about the pizza as I did not have any, but the guys who did seemed to enjoy it. I had the California cheeseburger. I was not expecting anything great but what I got was a surprise. First, the burger was massive, always a plus. Then I took my first bite.I cannot say how pleasantly surprised I was. As a Brooklyn boy, I am finicky in the pizza department. Franco's is as close to the flavors I grew up with as I can find in NJ. We've been regulars (almost weekly) at Franco's, mostly for take out, for around 10 years or so. I'm a purist so a regular round pie or Sicilian is what I like best. If you like toppings, the buffalo chicken, Mexican or a nice white pie with broccoli and garlic are very tasty. Calzones and strombolis are awesome as well. They make great sandwiches and Italian meals as well. This is a good old fashioned pizzeria, so don't expect a fancy schmancy atmosphere, just great food and friendly faces. read more

Unfortunately, this place provided great food, which previously delivered to us several times ---- until today ---- when they now notified us that they have changed their "delivery radius" from 5 miles to 3 miles, which apparently because we are 3.6 MILES AWAY, THAT THEY REFUSE TO DELIVER NOW. This is absurd. Apparently, loyal customers - which take nearly 6 minutes to deliver to, have now been ostracized due to their new delivery policy. The Mozz sticks in the picture looked great, but were super generic tasting. Jalapeno poppers had no spice. Marinara was too sweet. Wings were large and unbreaded- which is nice, but I ordered "nuclear," the middle option between "atomic" and "thermonuclear," and it tasted like a spicy bbq sauce, not very good. Garlic knots were the best thing we ordered as an app... but even they were a little too oily. On to the pizza! I just went with slices out of the window to try some different stuff. On a Thursday night with the Giants playing, options were limited. No chicken or pasta slices. Ended up with a jalapeno and onion slice and finally found the spice I was looking for- that slice was SPICY! The plain and sausage were disappointing- too thin crust that was floppy and chewy. It's just terrible. I ordered a slice from there online shop and they brought me a pie also it came 20min late making me miss my lunch break so I had to save it to 6pm. The delivery guy came and didn't have any change for a 20$ so he took it back to "get some change" after 15min I thought something was up cause he wasn't there so I called and they sent him with my change but they were 3$ off On another note the food is completely horrible I felt like I was biting into dry feet and the fries are just horrific.
