Ahhhhh I finally got to try a viral/trendy place to eat in LA. This sandwich was so so worth it!…read moreThe price is seemingly alot but you get 2 regular sized sandos in one. I got the #1 bestseller and it did NOT disappoint. I can see why someone wouldn't like it because it is rather plain but I prefer plain sandwiches myself. I like the ingredients to speak for themselves and not be coated in extra sugar or salt. I'm also a big fan of pistachio, the amount they put on is not for the faint of heart... hehe This place is clean, the line is efficient and friendly. I recommend stopping by. I came here as recommendation from Joshua Weissman's YT video of trying LA foods.

All'Antico Vinaio, a renowned Florence-based sandwich shop established in 1991, is celebrated for…read moreits generous schiacciata bread sandwiches, featuring imported Italian meats, cheeses, and spreads. This location on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown is the smallest of the three I've visited, with under 10 seats available. It's a compact shop, and most customers opt for takeout. It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich. This experience was truly a positive one for our family. I would definitely return to AAV for the excellent food and service. Given the small size of the shop, takeout is recommended, especially during peak hours. The sandwiches at AAV are so good! Fuggedaboutit!

It's almost like a mini pizza but with delicious crisper crust that isn't overbaked. 4/5 Fried Cod Laffa had a magical mix of flavor. Personally I love the contrast between the texture of the cod and the variety of fresh vegetables. The sauce complimented and brought all the ingredients together. The soft yet firm Laffa held this hefty meal. Had to eat half for lunch and half for another time. It fills you up! I would get this again when I'm here. The interior has this gorgeous overhead natural light with some hanging plants that almost like introducing a bit of natural nature indoors. Seating - some barstool like seating and around 4 double seaters. If you have a big party of people - it's better to get it as takeout! Restroom? Yes; but didn't use. Parking? Yes; street parking

What looks like an intimidating ordering situations was actually really easy. I think I was expecting a NYC style service counter where you get yelled at if you don't know exactly what you want, but the staff was so nice and helpful. My wife and I split the whole turkey sub with mild peppers and American cheese, no pickles. The bread was great--a little on the crusty side, but otherwise very flavorful. All of the veggies and meat were very fresh, and the experience was cool over all. You grab a ticket at the counter, wait for them to call your number, then you order and step back while they make yours and a handful of others at the same time. I grabbed some chips and drinks while I waited, which only took 5 minutes or so, then paid at the front (cash or debit only) and enjoyed our lunch at one of the outdoor tables. I'll definitely be back to try the meatball sub, which I eyed somebody else eating and immediately wanted a taste. I'll probably grab a turkey sub, too, while I'm at it.

The sandwiches are **made fresh and to order**, with a great variety of combinations--and the best part is that you can customize and substitute ingredients to your heart's content. And those spreads! They have so many good ones, but I'm especially obsessed with the **truffle and mushroom sauce**. We went with **fresh prosciutto**, which paired beautifully with fresh mozzarella, truffle cream, and a little fresh arugula for that subtle peppery/spicy kick. Everything was piled onto their freshly baked bread, and let's just say this is **not a shy sandwich**. The service was friendly, and I really appreciated that they let you **sample different cold cuts and spreads** if you're not sure what you want or haven't tried something before. No need to commit to a mystery meat and hope for the best. The setting is very casual--more of a deli-style café with counters and small seating areas. Nothing fancy, but honestly, when the sandwich is this good, the bread is doing all the decorating. We're not particularly big eaters, so we split one sandwich in half... and STILL had another half to take home. If you're a big eater, this is one **generously stuffed, fresh-baked sandwich** that could keep your mouth, stomach, and general happiness occupied for the rest of the day. So glad I **accidentally stumbled upon this delicious place**! Sometimes the best food discoveries happen when you have absolutely no idea where you're going.

Since it was definitely too hot to cook and I had a long drive home, I decided to pick up some sandwiches for the trip. I ordered three: a regular meatball, a regular Godfather, and a regular turkey Tuscano. Honestly, I can't decide which one was my favorite. I cut them all in half and shared them, and I ended up having the turkey Tuscano the next day for my lunch--and it was still just as good. The place is right with their name--the bread was fantastic. It was still crunchy yet soft even after being in the refrigerator overnight. The Godfather was also fantastic, and all of the meats on the sandwiches were killer. I sadly only got a few bites of the meatball because my husband annihilated it, but that's honestly a compliment. I'll definitely be hitting All About the Bread up again when I'm in West Hollywood. The staff was friendly too. Rafael took my order, and when I asked for recommendations, he was the one who actually recommended the Tuscano. I also made the sandwiches really quick since I was taking mine to go for my drive back to Orange County.
