Low key tea/pastry cafe. Located in the back of Dover Street Market Los Angeles. There's only outdoor shaded seating. Simple outdoor cafe. Great service. Not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Restroom is shared with the clothing store indoors. Plenty of street curb parking. We got the below there's, and enjoyed our time outside under the shade. $5 Rose latte and $6 feta thyme scone. $6 Hibiscus Iced Tea, and $5 Vegan Snickerdoodle cookie. My gf mentioned the seats were uncomfortable. They were definitely hard. Maybe it's a place where you're not meant to stay too long? Haha I liked that this place is away from the hustle and hustle, like your own secret white wall garden haha Theres limited seating and great for pairs. It's a small outdoor space so it's easy to hear over conversations if you sit too close? But overall, we enjoyed the items we got, service, the space and our time together. So much white, my gf said it reminded her of Greece. Be prepared to feel under-layered when entering Dover Street Market. Everyone seems to be wearing ten thousand layers here. I love the edgy and creative pieces in there! But definitely not a place within my budget to splurge at. Undercover anit-mall feeling type of boutique store? The art and style of retail display to devor is alot of fun. The restroom could be smelly as it didn't seem like there was ventilation when I visited it. The toilet paper was partially soaked? Not a very functional restroom with even it's faucet fixtures. Across the street is Lot 613 where burner Halloween parties years back when the art district didn't exist yet or at least expand so far. Great events space.
Surprised this place doesn't have more reviews! I had heard about this place as a great place to do some work, but as a desserts guy, I had to go give this place a try. It's in the back of Dover Street Market, which is a bit outside my tax bracket, but the cake at Rose Bakery made up for it. The moment I stepped into the cafe area, I was immediately met by the barista (I'm so sorry, I forgot to ask for your name!) who was extremely helpful with my indecisiveness. I was debating on a couple options, and when I asked them what I should get, they actually gave me a little sample of the blueberry matcha cake since they had yet to try it themself. I was SOLD! The cake itself was the perfect level of sweetness, which really allowed for the matcha to shine through equally with the blueberry. The cake was moist despite being refrigerated, and the frosting was a light meringue (?) buttercream that tasted wonderful especially after letting it sit for a bit. I decided to take a seat outside, and was surprised when the barista said they'd bring the cake out for me, along with a pitcher of water. The seating area was beautiful - the stone and simplicity really made it the type of place I'd come back to to do some work and to try out their drinks.
Beautiful outdoor space to relax, grab a drink and a pastry. We were recommended the carrot cake. Yes it's delicious! We also got a seasonal apricot cake. I forget if it was gluten free or flourless but ultra healthy and I enjoyed it. Also Hojicha latte is nice and creamy here. When we ordered, the associate said she'll bring everything to us. Great service:)

I have never heard of the Dover Street Market and I have lived in LA for a long time! It is always fun finding a jewel! The items for sale are a bit out of my price range, BUT, the food and drinks at Rose Cafe are worth a visit! They have seating outdoor in a lovely covered and quiet space. All I hear are the birds chirping - it's quite lovely! The service is also great! I needed recommendations on what to order and there was someone there to help me. If you want a unique experience in LA- I recommend a visit.
Nice simple area inside Dover Street Market. I was told that the menu changes weekly. I am a new fan. I really enjoy the dining possibilities offered per menu per chef. Vegetarian food, so it is nice and light for brunch or coffee & cake time while shopping the store. Many thanks to Chef Denise for the meal. 10/10 Card only Indoor/Outdoor seating
Food is excellent. I love the fact that the chef is personally making the dish themselves and even provides table service. Great convenient way to grab a bite while shopping at Dover. Seating outside is relaxed and quiet. Always a great visit!
A hidden spot in the Dover Street Market, I am in love with this place but only wish it wasn't expensive. They rotate their menu weekly so make sure to check instagram for what's current. @rosebakerylosangeles I have tried their quiche and loved it. The carrot cake is delicious and not too sweet. The pistachio and rosewater bougatsa is another of my favorites. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their desserts. Everything tastes so fresh. The service is quick, you order at the front and they bring the food to your table. They have outdoor seating available - great for a sunny LA day. They have their own parking area but you can also find street parking around the place. Can't wait to go back!
Don't sleep on this nice little gem! This place has finesse. You may be thinking they just serve pastries, but they offer so much more! The outdoor eating area makes you feel like you're in Greece and the chairs are gorgeous. The employees were all so pleasant! They recommended the mushroom tartine and the soup of the day and both were delicious. The crispy bread and spread on the tartine we're heavenly. The soup was nurturing and delicious. The matcha latte was so good! Excited to come back again one day!

I was excited to try, and really like the slice of lemon cake I chose. This is just an amazing piece of LA. I happened to be in the area and wanted a quick bite at a potential hole-in-the-wall bakery. This is far from that! I made my way to Imperial from the unfinished side (Santa Fe UC) street passing under 6th St Bridge. I'm looking for a bakery store front and these roll up gates open. A guy comes out and I see behind is clothing so I figure I keep moving, but then something told me to ask him about Rose Bakery. "He said it's our private bakery on the left. " He was maybe half joking about it being private. Inside were a couple of people prepping food. They showed me the menu and I had some eggs. We came looking for some coffee n matcha and had no idea the bakery was inside a clothing shop. It is actually a really cool location. I had a delicious, warm n crispy chocolate chip cookie, matcha , and a tonic. Service was also great, the two gentlemen working had a great attitude and had no problem making my matcha a little sweeter upon request. read more

Lovely, hidden, and super expensive. Seems like it is exclusively built to cater to patrons of the market because it is invisible from the street and there's a line to get in. The outdoor patio is all white tile and reclaimed industrial furniture. The clerks are as elegant as those at a fine hotel. Coffee and cake for two ended up being over $30. read more

The most thoughtful and considered meals/pastries in DTLA. Every item on the menu is a stand-out regardless of how simple they may seem. Rose Bakery's lentil soup will strike a nostalgic chord in you instantly, transporting you back to comfortable days at home. I topped my soup with a fried egg; a formidable suggestion by the lovely Rose staff. The only thing sweeter than the personalities here is the vegan coffee cake with its impressively crunchy crumble. Rose Bakery remains a crowd-pleasing easy choice. read more
