So, I called Team Dental to schedule appointments for my husband and me. I did not think there would be any available openings and was expecting to wait 1-2 months before seeing our new dentist. To my surprise, the office manager, Lauren was able to squeeze us in for a weekday evening slot. All my life, I've had to wait 20 minutes or longer in the waiting room before the dentist/dental assistant sees me. But NOT at Team Dental. The dentist/dental assistant/dental hygienist was ready to see me pretty much as soon as I arrived. All the staff at Team Dental are very friendly and professional. My first dentist visit was with Dr. Muhammad. Not only was he super thorough with my examination but he had THE BEST bedside manner of any dentist I've ever seen. After my examination, he explained to me the condition of my teeth and explained why I needed a deep cleaning. I started to freak out about how bad my teeth were, but he was very reassuring and took time to show me photos of worst-case scenario gum disease and that I was nowhere near that. All I had to do was get the deep cleaning and floss a lot more. Cynthia, the dental hygienist who did the deep cleaning for me was amazing too. I was nervous before the deep cleaning because I've never had one done before, but she properly numbed me so that I did not feel any pain. Then she deep cleaned the **** out of my teeth. Never have my teeth felt so good and so clean!!! Seeing the dentalcare I'm getting at Team Dental made me realize what good dentalcare is like. My previous dentists did the bare minimum and were never this thorough. Up to yesterday, I thought my teeth were fine, but they really weren't! Also, Team Dental understands the urgency of the health of your teeth. If you are experiencing pain and the longer care is delayed, the worse your condition will get. They will try to get you in as soon as possible, no matter how busy they are. It is really a great feeling to know the health of your teeth is in good hands with Team Dental.

I took umbrage with the business side of the practice for a consultation I had there for an obvious cavity that I wanted to be looked at. Their website said they do consultations so I called and went in. I sat down and the hygienist started to prep for a cleaning. I said no, I was there for a consultation only. They did one xray of the affected tooth, the dentist probed it and my mouth a bit, spending about seven minutes with me. The charge was $150. During the initial call for the appointment, the follow up call, and a call the morning of when they asked if I could come in earlier, there was never any mention of a consultation charge. I would have been far better off just getting a full cleaning and xrays for $250 or whatever it is and the 'consultation' would have been included. Of course, it's their right to charge whatever they want for whatever they do, but they should disclose on the website, or tell you on the phone "we may charge $150 for a brief consultation" for existing patients.

In my prior experience I felt like dentists just wanted to do more dental work to charge my insurance and make more money. I was constantly going to their office with cavities and crowns appointments. But doctor Rozanov was a breath of fresh air. He took the time to discuss how to be proactive in order avoid having cavities and other issues in the future - he discussed my diet (what to avoid eating or drinking), how to best floss and how often, and what mouth washes are effective and which aren't and how often to use it, and carefully analyzed my bite and what needs to be fixed to avoid teeth hitting the wrong way that would cause problems in the future. He fixed all the bad dental work that I had done before at other dentists. He is so incredibly thorough, he explains what's going on and what options exist to solve the issue, and pros and cons of each option, and what he recommends to do and why. Also, some dentists have a very rough touch, it's uncomfortable when they do the work, they press so hard, but doctor Rozanov has a gentle touch, very light and you can barely feel anything. I've been going to doctor Rozanov for many years now. I don't have cavities now, I fixed my bite and spend less money on dental work annually since I carefully follow his proactive recommendations and since he evaluates me twice a year and takes x-rays.

I…read morehave a similar story, but thankfully my skepticism had me leave before suffering a similar fate. My dentist instructed me to have some root canal work done so I contacted Dr. Kaminsky and was told that his office could perform the work I needed. After being examined and having x-rays taken, Dr. Kaminsky agreed that his office could do the work and set up an appointment for the procedure. 2 days before my endodontist appointment I contacted the office and was told that his office had tried to email me (they wrote down the wrong email address) saying that the endodontist was concerned and wouldn't perform the root canal without a consultation. Why they hadn't called me sooner when I didn't respond to the email, I do not know. I went in an hour before the appointment to meet the endodontist. He told me that my bridgework's condition was questionable and he wanted to have a scan taken(costing several hundred dollars) so he could come up with a course of treatment. Treatment? All I came in for was a root canal. I responded that I had come in for the root canal and I would go back to my dentist to consult with him about the bridgework. He said he wouldn't perform the root canal without a scan so I left. My dentist is tops in his field with over 40 years experience along with having taught many dentists at the University of Pennsylvania's dental school. He is an artist in his field and I've had these teeth for 20 years with only one or 2 minor issues. Because of Dr. Kaminsky's office insistence on a scan and even though he hadn't seen any noticeable issues, I had him perform a scan. He informed me that my bridgework was fine and that all I needed was the root canal work that he had prescribed. Dr. Kaminsky's office had the nerve to send me a bill for the consultation. I just went in for a root canal, but was coerced into possibly signing on for an extra procedure and expensive dental work. I'm thankful that I left, but am disturbed that I did not receive one of the necessary root canals which my 2024 insurance would have covered . I have had to wait months to get the needed work done and have experienced a month of unnecessary anxiety over the thought that my bridgework was failing. The possibility of requiring very costly procedures which I think Dr. Kaminsky's office would have been glad to offer caused me more than one sleepless night.
