I had a really concerning experience with this doctor. After my biopsy, I was told I had a rare…read morecase involving all three CIN 1, 2, and 3, that it could potentially be cancer, and that I needed surgery. Hearing that was extremely scary and caused a lot of stress. But something didn't sit right with me, because the Pap smears I had the last three years all came back normal, so to get such an extreme abnormal result seemed odd, so I went to an oncologist at USC for a second opinion. The oncologist performed another biopsy, and those results confirmed it was only CIN 1. I was told the original interpretation was incorrect and that surgery was not necessary. The original pathology report even mentioned that the analysis was limited due to acute inflammation and thin or crushed specimens. Given that, I was surprised that the recommendation moved so quickly to surgery without more caution or a step-by-step approach. Being told I might have cancer and needed surgery, only to later find out that wasn't the case, was incredibly stressful and avoidable. I would strongly encourage anyone in a similar situation to seek a second opinion before moving forward with an invasive procedure. If you are looking for thorough care, I would not recommend seeing this doctor and going elsewhere.

I would describe my experience with this doctor as having very poor bedside manner, limited active…read morelistening, and an overall dismissive and unprofessional approach to my care. She was not my primary doctor but was the physician on rounds/call during my postpartum hospital stay. After a failed induction and several difficult days in the hospital, I ultimately had a C-section. The following morning, she came in to review my chart and discuss my discharge. At the time, I was in significant postoperative pain, yet she initially refused to prescribe any pain medication for me to take home. I was in such severe pain that my nurse had to intervene and advocate on my behalf before pain medication was prescribed. I found it extremely concerning that I had to rely on my nurse to communicate the severity of my pain and advocate for appropriate postoperative pain management. There was also an issue with the pharmacy information. She asked me to provide the correct address for my local CVS, which I did. However, she entered the information incorrectly. When I tried to point out HER error, she was dismissive and did not listen to what I was telling her. Once again, I had to call the nurse to intervene and explain that I was simply trying to correct HER error of the pharmacy information so that my prescription would be sent to the appropriate location. Having to repeatedly rely on the nurse to advocate for me and correct basic communication issues was incredibly frustrating, particularly when I was recovering from a C-section and already in considerable pain. I expected to feel heard, respected, and cared for during such a vulnerable time, but unfortunately, that was not my experience.

What stood out to me the most was not only his knowledge and experience, but also his humanity and compassion. At the time, back in 2024, I was also going through breast cancer, which made everything even more overwhelming. Dr. Mirhashemi gave me hope and reminded me that I had the strength to overcome whatever I needed to face. I had very large fibroids around and inside my uterus, and unfortunately, in my case, the entire uterus needed to be removed. I also made the personal decision to have my ovaries removed to help avoid potential future concerns related to cancer. I was 44 at the time, and for me, it was the decision that made the most sense. I will never forget the day of my surgery. Dr. Mirhashemi gave me a big hug before the procedure and gave me exactly the strength and reassurance I needed in that moment. That meant more to me than he probably realizes. He also discovered I had stage III endometriosis in my appendix the day of the surgery and he removed which I APPRECIATE!!! I wanted to write this review because he is truly an excellent and very knowledgeable doctor who made me feel safe during one of the most difficult times of my life. If you are considering Dr. Mirhashemi, don't think twice. He is one of the best doctors I have encountered throughout my entire medical journey. Thank you so much, Dr. Mirhashemi, for everything you did for me. I will always appreciate your kindness, compassion, and care. May GOD bless you always!

The call-center vs. the office gives off some inaccurate scheduling dates and times. On my recent appointment, 10a with Dr. Kimball, it was beyond unprofessional. Checked in with Nancy & was greeted by Christina. I sat in the waiting room with 7-8 other women. After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked Nancy if she was even in the office or called away on emergency!? She stated she's in the office just running behind. There are 7-8 people ahead of me. Umm, you didn't want to alert me of that upon checking in. Nancy just gave me an awkward smile. I was called in by Jocelyn "medical assistant" at 10:40a & she did her intake & walked me to the room. You would think the Dr. Kimball would've came in shortly thereafter. Absolutely not. I walked out & asked Jocelyn if she was aware I'm in the room!? Her response, oh yes, she is running behind. You failed to tell me that as you walked me to the room just sit there & look out the window. Finally, Dr. Kimball walks in as if she's early & greets me. I asked her you don't have an emergency phone call like our last appointment!? Oh no, we are fine. I explained to her how she never followed up with me re: my labs & etc and what's the next steps behind my women's wellness care. Instantly, I knew she wasn't really listening to me & was somewhat dismissive. I asked her what's the next steps were & she told me I don't do that exactly, I refer out. Excuse me, Dr. Kimball during my prior 3 visits, you told me this is what you do & we will work together for a plan of action. Talk about the bait & switch. In this appointment, I found myself advocating for myself like never before. The more she talked & stated she didn't know too many Doctors in the South Bay community due to her being with them for a short timeframe (3 years). Not only did we waste 1 another time, but she lied to me, stating she was fully knowledgeable behind this matter. I received 0 comprehensive care from her. A medical disappointment. Moving forward, her "Dr.Kimball" front desk receptionist "Nancy, Christina & Maribel: office manager;" do better on the information given to patients on her lacking a broad expertise; outside of labor & delivery. I was checking out & Maribel "office manager" was heavily fixated on our "Nancy & I" mini conversation. Maribel tells me she's been in the field for years & well versed in the medical field. Like, lady what are you talking about & stop being nosey. Keep in mind that she has no medical credentials behind her name. With all of this happening in 1 day, this office is unprofessional & can be unprofessional by themselves. Again, please advocate for yourself & stop letting doctors such as Dr. Kimball think this is acceptable medical care/behavior.

I feel so negatively about my experience that I need to leave a review despite my visit being a few years ago. I visited for my annual well woman exam, and I also wanted to discuss sterilization. She was immediately dismissive, saying I might change my mind if I met the right person, and I was too young (I was in my mid 30s at this point) - I didn't even get to discuss why I wanted to, and that I had already done extensive research on the pros/cons. I dropped the subject because it was clear she was against it. She was very rough during my exam and pap smear, and there was some bleeding afterwards, which I've never experienced, and when I commented on it, she said it was expected, threw a pad on the table, and left. I have since been to my current ob/gyns who was happy to discuss sterilization with me, and is very gentle during their exams.
