Then, about two weeks out from my appointment date they called me and said they were going to push me another month. When I asked them if there is any sooner availability because I had already waited a month for the appointment, she just replied "no". I let her know it was not a great customer experience and she replied "great. I'll go ahead and cancel your appointment." Needless to say, this place is clearly either overbooked or understaffed. She is very informative, patient, kind and professional (and willing to listen and answer all me and my husbands questions--which was a lot as first time parents). I went into labor 7 weeks early after a very normal and healthy pregnancy, which ended in an emergency c-section, and a month NICU stay for our baby boy. She was at the hospital ASAP after I was admitted, had the most genuine supportive, calm nature during the entire event (coached me through 2.5 hours of pushing as I didn't know what to do). Dr K is motherly & nurturing blended with a no-bullshit delivery and sound medical judgement. She does what is RIGHT for the patient. Isn't THAT what counts? I will refrain from my specific personal story - let's just say that she has "been there" for me since I became her patient in 2010. She has provided great guidance, knows who I am, returns my phone calls, directs me to other clinical resources as warranted (they are all best in class, too!). The pattern I found, from working closely with surgeons in my career, is that the top doctors usually refer amongst themselves. This has DEFINITELY been the case for me wrt Dr Kovacic. And as a result, I have been in the very best hands! So...if I have to put up with a couple "minor" inconveniences like calling the front office to remind them of f/u a couple times....it is NO big deal - that WILL happen everywhere. Remember, there is ONLY 1 of her and hundreds of patients in a practice. Sure, I have had to wait, but it's because she WILL squeeze in an emergency - and I will gladly wait because it could be ME one day that needs that attention!!! And I know she WILL give it. It is doctor - patient trust. Dr Kovacic is one of the BEST doctors out there. She's a really great person who has made a significant difference in my life!

Checked in with Nancy & was greeted by Christina. I sat in the waiting room with 7-8 other women. After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked Nancy if she was even in the office or called away on emergency!? She stated she's in the office just running behind. There are 7-8 people ahead of me. Umm, you didn't want to alert me of that upon checking in. Nancy just gave me an awkward smile. I was called in by Jocelyn "medical assistant" at 10:40a & she did her intake & walked me to the room. You would think the Dr. Kimball would've came in shortly thereafter. Absolutely not. I walked out & asked Jocelyn if she was aware I'm in the room!? Her response, oh yes, she is running behind. You failed to tell me that as you walked me to the room just sit there & look out the window. Finally, Dr. Kimball walks in as if she's early & greets me. I asked her you don't have an emergency phone call like our last appointment!? Oh no, we are fine. I explained to her how she never followed up with me re: my labs & etc and what's the next steps behind my women's wellness care. Instantly, I knew she wasn't really listening to me & was somewhat dismissive. I asked her what's the next steps were & she told me I don't do that exactly, I refer out. Excuse me, Dr. Kimball during my prior 3 visits, you told me this is what you do & we will work together for a plan of action. Talk about the bait & switch. In this appointment, I found myself advocating for myself like never before. The more she talked & stated she didn't know too many Doctors in the South Bay community due to her being with them for a short timeframe (3 years). Not only did we waste 1 another time, but she lied to me, stating she was fully knowledgeable behind this matter. I received 0 comprehensive care from her. A medical disappointment. Moving forward, her "Dr.Kimball" front desk receptionist "Nancy, Christina & Maribel: office manager;" do better on the information given to patients on her lacking a broad expertise; outside of labor & delivery. I was checking out & Maribel "office manager" was heavily fixated on our "Nancy & I" mini conversation. Maribel tells me she's been in the field for years & well versed in the medical field. Like, lady what are you talking about & stop being nosey. Keep in mind that she has no medical credentials behind her name. With all of this happening in 1 day, this office is unprofessional & can be unprofessional by themselves. Again, please advocate for yourself & stop letting doctors such as Dr. Kimball think this is acceptable medical care/behavior.

I would describe my experience with this doctor as having very poor bedside manner, limited active…read morelistening, and an overall dismissive and unprofessional approach to my care. She was not my primary doctor but was the physician on rounds/call during my postpartum hospital stay. After a failed induction and several difficult days in the hospital, I ultimately had a C-section. The following morning, she came in to review my chart and discuss my discharge. At the time, I was in significant postoperative pain, yet she initially refused to prescribe any pain medication for me to take home. I was in such severe pain that my nurse had to intervene and advocate on my behalf before pain medication was prescribed. I found it extremely concerning that I had to rely on my nurse to communicate the severity of my pain and advocate for appropriate postoperative pain management. There was also an issue with the pharmacy information. She asked me to provide the correct address for my local CVS, which I did. However, she entered the information incorrectly. When I tried to point out HER error, she was dismissive and did not listen to what I was telling her. Once again, I had to call the nurse to intervene and explain that I was simply trying to correct HER error of the pharmacy information so that my prescription would be sent to the appropriate location. Having to repeatedly rely on the nurse to advocate for me and correct basic communication issues was incredibly frustrating, particularly when I was recovering from a C-section and already in considerable pain. I expected to feel heard, respected, and cared for during such a vulnerable time, but unfortunately, that was not my experience.

I decided to seek a visit to naturopathic doctor because my primary doctor never really listens to…read moremy issue and concerns, my primary doctor just wanted to get me in and out as fast as possible. In December 2022, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Marie Nguyen, went in with many health concern - hyperthyroidism, headache, allergic reaction and few abnormal level blood test. She listened and worked with me to come up with a nutrition diet plan, reccomended on supplements & vitamin. She reccomend to stick to a healthier diet plan, eliminating certain food and everything will be back to normal in 3-4 month, 6 month now and I can confirm these strict nutrition plan / supplement / reccomendation has gotten me back to normal level on blood test and brought my Thyroid back to normal level. In terms, of allergic reaction, I was able to narrow down what I am allegic to through lab test. Although coming here is an *out of pocket cost - not cover by insurance* and the visit is on the pricier side, it is so worth the visit to get my health back to normal. Very thankful for the knowledgeable doctors here. Highly reccomend this place if you have certain health concern and wants to narrow down to root cause.
