First and foremost, the design consultants, both Lucas, who worked closest with me, and Tatia, were extremely pleasant to work with, knowledgeable, and sharing with their time to help me figure out best sizing, matting, and colors for the project. Because I did not find a frame I could fall in love with at the store (had no luck at 2 other framing shops around town either), I sought one out online, and they were again more than willing to confirm my measurements before ordering it, and put together the rest of the project at a fair and reasonable cost. The only drawback (4+ instead of 5) was a delay in completing the project as the production crew had a shortage of the proper glass. There was only about a weeks delay and no problem, but a minor glitch that should be noted. Thanks guys. This beautiful sketch now hangs prominently in my home. read more

My new favorite frame store. Lucas and Tatia were so helpful and assisted me with the upmost professionalism. I came in to get wire and D rings and it looks absolutely perfect for my New York show, thanks to Lucas! I am very happy and will definitely come back to frame future artworks. Tatia showed me the museum quality glass and I was amazed and impressed with the quality of work. It's perfect for artwork or memorable family portraits to last a lifetime. I had a wonderful experience & strongly recommend this frame store. read more

Back in November '25, during the most difficult time in my life, I needed to frame a beautiful portrait of my Mom for her funeral that was going to take place in a week. I called the Frame Store and spoke to Tom. I was able to drive to the store and describe to him what I needed framed and the timeline we had to work with. He made the time to listen to me describe how special my mom was and how this portrait was needed for the funeral. After an hour we finally selected the perfect frame. Tom gave me a great price for the quality I selected. He made sure that he clearly communicated with everyone involved in the process in framing the portrait and the time line I was requesting. In the end, this beautiful portrait was a masterpiece that highlighted how beautiful my mom was. I truly appreciated the quality of the service and product what Tom and the Frame Store offered. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. read more

PERFECTION! I had purchased a piece of artwork that needed framing and we had the opportunity to work with Tom. We are typically pretty good at figuring out our design needs but framing can be more of a sophisticated effort than you'd think. Tom helped us select the perfect frame for our piece. When he analyzed the art, his perspective really called out things we didn't see or notice. So when he provided some options, we all agreed on one in particular that seemed to really complement the artwork. We received our framed art in less than a week and it's PERFECT! The right frame and glass does so much and we can't stop staring at our new piece. Super happy! read more

I love the personalized service I receive at the local frame store. I often have items I need to have custom framed, and I know that I can count on Tom to help me out. Tom was spectacular! He took so much time to walk us through the different options, helping us choose frames that not only complimented our images, but also fit within our budget! The Frame Store is not only super expensive but, in my experience, not reliable to fix an issue when a problem arises

Had a perfect experience at the Frame Store. Tom was incredibly helpful with our project. He suggested multiple ways to accomplish what we wanted in a way that would be good for the artwork and our wallet! The finished product is just what we wanted! Have been her multiple times and will keep going back. Cant recommend enough! read more

I wanted to take the time to leave a glowing, well deserved review of the Frame Store, namely Tom! We brought in a very large, very delicate original art piece that needed to be carefully and thoughtfully framed. Tom spent a lot of time with us, patiently trying out dozens of frames and finishes. His input and expertise were very insightful and his knowledge and respect for art were definitely apparent. He also remained mindful of our budget, as framing can get very pricey. In the end, the piece turned out beautiful and looks fantastic in our home! If you need anything framed, big or small, Tom at the Frame store is your guy! read more

This place is just the best. I looked around and finally picked FrameStore in Hermosa. Heather is just create and so creative. Helped me with frame & mat selections and such. I had several items and they all turned out beautifully. I would definitely use them again in the future. Heather was just the best and made the process so easy, especially since it was right before Christmas. read more

This place does fantastic work. With their creative help (most recently, from Heather helping me design the beautiful framing for my James Jean print below), your frames can really complement and add on to the visual experience of your art - not just protect and display it. 10/10 recommend. read more

We had an old painting that was sorely in need of reframing. We saw that one of our favorite walking sites, Hermosa Beach, had a well-regarded picture-framing store. We called and brought in our painting. They had a wide selection but Heather was very helpful and guided us to a good choice. When we picked up our newly framed art, we were happy with the work. But when we hung it, the quality and the beauty of the work thrilled us. If you want a quality picture-framing job, this is THE PLACE. It isn't cheap but quality work is worth the price. Photo to follow in a few weeks. read more

Will not return thousands of dollars worth of art that we left with them after 8 weeks of them having it, damaging it and ultimately, refusing to return it. In the process of having our attorney file a lawsuit to recover our art after multiple visits and calls go unanswered or never followed up. Avoid this clown like the plague. It's been nothing but trouble and we still, do not have our art back. Yes, after 8 weeks. read more

I had a beloved 24x36 photo crash down from the wall during the night. Maria was amazing--She had the guys fix my old frame and put in new glass--and even kept the same backing, as my grandbabies and I keep our game scores on it Highly recommend!! read more

Customer service is paramount to me. I will support any establishment that treats me with respect and professionalism. Elle (I believed she pronounces her name as Ellie) is the sweetest most helpful representative and this establishment's saving grace. The other person that I dealt with was AWFUL and incompetent and a poor representative for this company. After dealing with this person, I was willing to walk away from them and let them keep my money as long as they returned my artwork. Ultimately, they returned my artwork and my money and I skipped off to another shop with excellent customer service and work product. read more

I don't normally leave negative reviews, but this has been bugging me since it happened. I recently won an art piece at auction and I needed to get it framed, I found The Frame Store, was impressed with their reviews and went to their website which I signed up to their mailing list for a 50% off coupon. When I went to The Frame Store with my newly won art piece, the quoted price was over $1100. That was with the "50% discount" - I took it to Allan Jeffries Framing and had it framed for almost half the price. Elle at the Hermosa Beach location was very lovely and nice to deal with, so this review is definitely not a reflection on her. But rather this business's dishonest promotion. If you're going to give a customer a 50% off coupon the price shouldn't be almost double the price of the competition. I'm not the first person to leave a negative review for them for this reason, if they want to price themselves significantly higher than their competition, that's their call, but don't mislead customers on their website with a "110% low Price Guarantee" and a 50% off discount that's a total lie. read more

So I went into The FrameStore with a picture of a large print I wanted a mat for. I wanted a color that matched the colors in the print. Now being colorblind I was totally lost. Customer service was great for me. I was shown several frames and mats that could go with this image and went with their suggestion of frame which has a coconut type texture to it. Heather helped us frame a few special pieces of art and was super helpful. The store did a beautiful job!! Very happy.

I had to replace the frames on a Disney cell and large commemorative lithograph and Zachary spent an hour with me, showing me multiple options. He was very patient with my indecisiveness. FrameStore - Our frame - Framing Near Me - Hermosa Beach, California

Upon entering the store, the lone worker was on the phone. I could only guess she was with a customer. So I set my photos (2 individually wrapped in plastic w/cardboard for protection) on the counter and took a look around. After several minutes, I could hear a lot of rattling at the back door, so I went back and took a look. There was an older woman (70's?) trying to carry in a canvas work. I held the door for her and followed her back into the shop. The worker at the counter just finished her call and asked if we were together (No). Then she asked the woman if she was 'wrong name' who called yesterday. After a few wrong attempts and finally working out the name, the worker turns to me and says, "She has one item and you have a 'Pile' of stuff, so do you mind if I help her first?". I said, "I don't mind, I'll take my pile somewhere else" and left. This was my first time here and I don't know how things work? 1. Older people first? 2. Appointments first? 3. Less items first? Could I have said, "Yes I mind, I've been waiting almost 10 minutes for assistance". And put more of a demand that I was there first? Sure. But with no real acknowledgement I was there, a phone call that sounded more like rainy afternoon banter with a friend and not asking me first what I needed to begin with. I didn't feel there was any point in doing business at a place that shows little interest finding out ones needs first before assuming. read more

I headed to FrameStore with a pile of posters and an empty head! No idea what to do with 'em AT ALL. Heather was great. Also I can't recall the other person's name who helped us the time before, but we had a large canvas both stretched and framed and they were very meticulous and did a great job. A great, local place to have your items framed! Only one thought: For paintings, it's not inexpensive. Rightfully so, but be sure to cost it out before you sign. ;-) I was a little shocked but my husband knew before we even entered it was going to cost a pretty penny based upon him having items framed elsewhere years ago. We'll be back! read more

Heather was incredible to work with. My grandfather and mother had painted several pieces for me that needed to be re-framed. She was incredibly helpful in helping me with mat and frame selections, handled each piece with care, and I am so happy with the end result. I tried to find the 2 for 1 frame store that had been located in Redondo Beach, and found they had moved to Hermosa. Heather provided the same great personable service, expertise, and recommendations. As a side note for parking on PCH in Hermosa, there is ample parking behind the store. read more

I bought a coupon on the internet to The Framestore, $35 for $100 worth of framing. I wanted to frame a very small 8.5 x 11" poster. Super simple poster backing, super simple frame, and a black and gold mat. Estimated price... $200!! And that was after the coupon was applied. Disheartened that I definitely wasn't getting this little poster framed, I tried to see how much it would cost for just the backing (i.e. an 8.5 x 11" size piece of posterboard). $135 dollars. Unless that posterboard had a winning lottery ticket hidden inside it, it seems like by having a $100 coupon to the store, the store just added $100 to all their prices. I ended up giving up on using the coupon and accepted the loss of $35. I could get a piece of 8.5x11" posterboard at Target (in the same parking lot) for .50 cents. read more
