I went into Framed in Time looking for a frame to cover a light fixture under my cabinet near the ceiling. On my first trip there, he asked that I return with more specific measurements for my project. Also, he told me not to spend the money for an entire strip of material as mine was a small job and that he had left over pieces out back. When I returned, John was extremely helpful and brought me to see the remnants in the storage area. After I selected something, he cut up the pieces according to my dimensions and even included two attachments on each side if I needed them for the screws. I was so impressed that he took the time and made the effort to locate something that matched the silver color I was searching for. And I was truly appreciative that he wanted to save me money as well. It had been a while since I needed any framing done, but these guys did such great work on many pieces for me in the past, it was the only place I would go when I found my brother's signed Bar Mitzvah photo from 1983, that I am giving to him for his 50th birthday. From the moment I walked in the door, I received a friendly greeting. I assume he was smiling, but couldn't see with all of us wearing masks due to Covid. Without me saying a word, Robert said "let's keep it simple, no need to break the bank." His creative eye quickly recommended a navy blue frame instead of black to pick up the ink in all the signatures. No matting needed, he said. Just simple and classy to preserve it. It's being worked on and I don't have the final results yet, but I'm just blown away at the service here. I love quality and knowing I can trust someone to guide me properly and not upsell just to make a larger sale. I know it will be perfect and will post pics when I get it next week. I was driving through Saxonville (suburb of Framingham) and saw Framed in Time tucked away in the corner I thought I would take a shot JUST to see how much it would cost! I WAS BLOWN AWAY by the quote!! I little over HALF of what Michaels was going to charge me AND with a double matt!! They were kinder and WAY mor helpful with color choice and frame choice. I found some WWII memorabilia in my grandfathers house and brought it into Framed In Time to get a collage made as a fathers day gift. I let the artist put the piece together and pick out the frame and matting. It was a lot cheaper than I was expecting and they had it ready the day that they said it would be done. For the entire piece, which included 3 photos, dog tags, air-force wings, and two documents, it only cost $260. I brought in a print I bought from art.com online. They were very friendly and nice - dragged out tons of different colored mats to choose from and didn't rush me. I ended up doing a double mat and frame and thought the price was reasonable for what I chose. (Keep in mind that no custom framing is cheap.) The mat cuts were crisp and clean. The finished piece looked beautiful. I would highly recommend them, and will use them again for any more artwork I want framed. read more

Top notch customer service and framing! I've been here twice. The first time was to frame a print that I acquired in Thailand years ago. It's a weird size and has a lot of different colors going on so I never knew quite what to do with it. The staff had some great suggestions for frames and mattes and what we ended up going with turned out amazing and wasn't expensive. The second time I went was because my crazy two-year-old knocked over a nice silver frame and broke the glass. I went in to see if they could replace the glass, and they did, but they didn't even charge me! The frame was purchased somewhere else, so it wasn't even like they were fixing their own work. Maybe they were so generous because I had said adorable, yet destructive, two-year-old with me, or maybe it's just because they are awesome. Either way, I'll definitely be back the next time I need something framed. I can't recommend Framed In Time enough! read more

Excellent customer service! Came in on two different occasions and was met by the same level of service by 3 different people. More importantly, these guys didn't try to sell me on expensive custom frames. When I said that I didn't want to spend more money on the frame than I did on the art work, John was very helpful in giving me ideas on how I can do it with the pre-made frames (which is what I ended up with). Had I chosen a custom frame, the price was still considerably cheaper than the quotes I got from from the chain framing stores. When I went back to get the art work, they also cut a scrap piece of matting for me to use as backing for another print I had that I already had a frame for --- they didn't have to do that. That's above and beyond service! My art work was also finished way before the promised date. I'd go to these guys for my framing needs from now on and would highly recommend them! read more
