Walking in is just how it was back home, there's a giant menu but also some of the famous stuff on display and ready to go. I ordered fried pork, fried chicken, tostones and the oxtail. It was all absolutely amazing. I don't always spend $50 for solo dinners but I couldn't pick just one item! I will definitely be back again with my family. If you are missing the Dominican food from back home, this place will not disappoint. If you've never had Dominican food, do yourself a favor and give this place a shot!

A big fan of island -Dominican food although it was overpriced compared to what you Can get it for on the east coast but what ever.. I went back to the counter to ask for hot sauce and the cashier told me it was a 1$ for hot sauce.. I said really? The owner, walked over very politely with a straight face and said we don't eat hot sauce on the island so it's going to cost 1$ What does one have anything to do with the other? I didn't understand her logic. I paused for a second and she said so would u like some hot sauce? It was some bottled generic hot sauce not even house made. I declined to order. The food was pre cooked , set in a steamer. Fast casual restaurant with a few tables Food was bland and subpar.

Taco truck that is popular for their birria. I've been to their location in East LA/Boyle Heights,…read morebut this was my first visit to this location. Pretty wide and great menu overall, but I suspect a lot of people come here specifically for the birria. And that's exactly what I got. I ordered two quesabirria tacos with some consomé on the side. I grabbed a couple of the salsa squeeze bottles and I was off to the races. So flavorful and such a satisfying meal. The birria and tacos here are just delicious. The vibe here is a little more chill. Not sure if it was because of the time of day I went, but I think it's because it's located right off a less busy street than the other location. Still a lot of traffic goes through this area, but just not as hectic at the particular spot. Parking was easy to find here as well.

Wife and I finally noticed this truck parked on Venice Blvd. and glad we did, too!…read moreFirst off, the people in the truck are super nice. Didn't feel rushed and the guy (sorry, forgot your name :-/ ) was happy to explain whatever we needed. We ordered an asada and a pollo torta, a couple birria (beef) quesatacos, and I also got a vampiro with the same birria. "Veggies" come down to just cilantro and onions, which they will happily add or remove as you like. My wife had been jonseying for a torta for a while and theirs delivered. The asada taco's steak was tender and not chewy, so she said it hit the spot for her. The pollo was equally tasty and there was a lot of meat in both! :-) The quesatacors are crunchy shelled and the birria was delicious with the cheese inside it, as well. The vampiro was basically a corn tostada with the meat on top (and veggies if you want them but, being allergic to onions, I didn't have any). But the meat, again, was super tender and really enjoyable. I regret not taking pictures when I could, but I'll be happy to add pics of the Birria ramen, burrito and a steak torta (our next order), when I can. ;-)

Everything looks fresh and healthy, recommend their Around the World Bowl, which includes salmon poke, chicken, seaweed salad and fried egg, so you could try everything a little bit if it's your first time. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? As has been pointed out, the ladies who frequently work the Benten Bowl truck are wonderfully insightful, friendly, and fast when it comes to service. They're passionate about what they do and it shows. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? A standard bowl at Benten Bowl truck will run you $10.00, and while you'll get a decent amount of healthy food I wouldn't call it a large portion, and you still may well find you're hungry after a single serving. That's no too uncommon given food truck prices these days, but it's noteworthy. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? My Spicy Mayo Ponzu Chicken bowl was clearly assembled with precision, and I could tell immediately tell that the ingredients were fresh. The chicken was well trimmed, the peripherals fresh and flavorful, and the sauces a good compliment. Was it the best chicken bowl I've had? No, but it did hit the spot. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Again this is a good truck for a decent healthy food truck option, but my meal didn't blow me away. No Star Granted.

Leo's Tacos Truck has been around for what seems like forever--and for good reason. Their tacos and…read moreburritos are consistently delicious. I usually visit the truck parked on the LaCienega near the Target store, and the parking lot is almost always packed. Despite the constant line of customers, the service is surprisingly fast. There are a few tables and benches if you'd like to sit outside and eat there, but I usually take my food to go. My favorite menu item is the Carne Asada Super Burrito with avocado, beans, crema, and cheese. I skip the rice and salsa, and it's still incredibly filling. The burrito is so hefty that I usually split it into two meals. The prices have definitely gone up over the years, but the quality, generous portions, and great flavor make it well worth it.

I am definitely a Leo's Tacos fan and have visited a few of their locations. As much as I love…read morethem, I must be honest!!! This experience was OK. It cut the taco craving but didn't quite knock my socks off. Here's the (my) verdict : Tacos - they are pretty small, which is not a horrible thing but just saying -- you might what to order a couple extra just in case. The chicken (pollo) tacos were a little dry and a bit flavorless as were the carne asada tacos. I did love that the carne asada was not greasy at all! No gristle, nothing weird, good meat. No stomach issues after eating/ later or anything like that either, so quality ingredients for sure, just a bit dry. The Jamaica - good! A liiiitle on the sweet side but still delicious! The condiments - everything is pre packaged which I appreciate but also kind of annoyed by the proportions. Way more onion than cilantro for my liking. Made me appreciate the ability to self serve condiments. The limes that they packaged for me didn't have a whole lot of juice so that was also annoying, but the salsas are good! They definitely help with the flavor on the tacos. Possibility a bit more overwhelming on the salty/acidic over heat/spice but still good! Wait time - there were a ton of people ahead of us, probably 5 guests with big orders and we still only waited like 5-7 min ... it was quick! So the speed of which they get you your order is much faster than a fast food drive thru. Loved that! Parking - we did have the circle the parking lot a few times and getting in and out of the lot is difficult with all the La Cienega traffic, so it does require a few "wooo-sa's" and meditative breathing around rush hour -- especially if you are hangry .. just a little pro tip! :) Pricing - $24 for two ppl, ordered 6 tacos and a large agua de Jamaica + tip. Not bad at all! Seating - definitely an outdoor seating only situation with some shade, or the to go option but definitely a good amount of tables and chairs. All in all -- a descent 3 stars. I wouldn't go out of my way for this particular Leo's truck, but a great spot to kick a mid day/ late night craving -- and also still two thumbs up!
