The associate who helped me, Sarah, instead engaged me with curiosity, patiently listened to my experience with previous shoes, conducted a foot scan, and used her analysis of it all to expertly select top matches for me. I was treated like a fellow running friend of Sarah's, and I was matched with a pair of the Saucony Triumph 24 at a competitive price at my local Fleet Feet Agoura. Aside from my new kicks, I get to continue the relationship and opportunity to learn and grow as a runner through the weekly Wednesday Night Group runs that Fleet Feet Agoura hosts. Back in my day…read more... When I was a kid... When I needed new shoes... I used to LOVE going to Payless ShoeSource where I'd get my new kicks right before the school year started. Brands like Airwalk, L.A. Gear, Rugged Outback... Yeah, I was the coolest kid in school back in the 90's... Ha! Sadly, like most of the iconic businesses from my youth, Payless ShoeSource filed for bankruptcy and the famous footwear brand went under. Besides the cool shoes that I could pick out on my own... What I loved most about Payless... (Or should I say what my mom or dad who were paying loved most)... Was.... The infamous B.O.G.O offer: Yeah!!! The Buy One, Get One for 50% off deal!!! Aww yes, the good 'ol' days! --------------------- Fast forward 30 years... And now, I am a parent, a Dad who now has the honor to buy shoes for my own, three beautiful daughters as they gear up for the school year. But sadly there's no Payless ShoeSource to be found. ------------------- Enter the DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse!!! Yeah, things have changed a lot since the 90's. Now, instead of shopping at a small-box shoe store with maybe 6 aisles of footwear... We enter the Big-Box shoe warehouse with aisles and aisles of every style of shoe you can think of. But if you're looking for those cool "skater" Airwalks or those Rugged Outback work boots like I used to rock in the 90's pretending I was in Timbaland's crew... You ain't gonna find 'em. Like I said, things have changed! Instead of shopping off-brand shoe brands that back in my day were able to hold their own on the playground... My kids are getting name-brand shoes that I just pray stay clean enough to last them the entirety of the school year. And let's not start on the comparison of prices then vs now. The Nikes you want are how much?? You are 5 and going into Kindergarten girl! But hey, that's life! #GirlDad In all seriousness, DSW is THE place to get all the latest and greatest footwear brands all in one place. And for the WHOLE family too! Brands like: Nike, Adidas, Brooks, Converse, UGG, Crocs, Skechers, Birkenstock, Cole Haan, Dr. Martin's, Puma, Reebok & Van's.... Just to name a few. But remember it's DSW and the "D" stands for Designer, so don't forget to check out their offer on Luxury Designer Brands like: Burberry & Balenciaga Yep! You heard me right! (More than likely, these high end designer brands will have to be purchased from DSW.Com). Besides getting new kicks for you, the wifey and your S.U.V full of kids... DSW offers all of the accessories you may need to compliment your new sneaks. Socks, shoe cleaner, belts, hats, bags $ & accessories.... Yes, a look from head to toe minus the clothes.... There's a Nordstrom Rack next door, you're welcome! ------------ Side Note: Brands from my youth that have previously gone under are making a comeback! Like... Toys R Us is coming back!!! Maybe, just maybe Payless ShoeSource will rise once again and I can go get me some Airwalks, ha! But until then.... DSW is where I'm comin' when my kids need new shoes!

The guy seemed bothered by helping me and practically blamed me for being a size 8 since he was out of size 8 in every style I picked. He would have me try on smaller sizes without letting me know he was out of my size, wasting my time. Then he offered me a few dollars break on a pair that fit but I wasn't crazy about, just under $200. I told him I'd like to think about it and if I would be able to get the same deal if I came back. He got an attitude and told me only if I came back the same day. Boy bye. Your inventory wasn't good. I went somewhere else and bought 3 pairs of shoes. I'm done with this place.

The situation was eventually cleared up and it was confirmed that we had not taken them, but no apology was ever given. After being treated that way, we no longer felt comfortable returning and requested a refund for our membership. We were told over the phone that we would receive a full refund, but we were ultimately only given a prorated amount. The way the situation was handled left a very bad impression. We do not recommend this location and will not be returning.

They told me they not gonna be lower than $200 so I went in based on that conversation. Once I got there, they offered only $160. But the condition was already shown in the photos, and cutting the offer another 20% after getting me into the store felt like a waste of my time. When I returned to the store to process a return, the experience was disappointing. The associate inspected the pants, smelled them, and stated they had been washed, then refused the return. This was both uncomfortable and frustrating, especially since the items were simply tried on for fit at home and not worn. I understand that stores have policies in place, but the handling of this situation felt unnecessarily dismissive. A more professional and customer-focused approach would have gone a long way. Most customers won't take the time to leave a review--they'll simply choose not to return. With so many convenient online options available, in-store experiences need to justify the trip. Unfortunately, this one did not. Service with a smirk has never worked for me..
