I've been wearing this brand for about three months now. I originally started because one of my clients loves it and recommended it to me. I decided to visit the store instead of ordering online because I wanted to make sure I got the correct size. The first time I visited this location, an employee named Hannah (I believe that was her name) helped me. She's short with jet black hair. Unfortunately, she was extremely rude. While I was asking questions about sizing, she seemed annoyed and gave off the impression that she didn't want to help. The second time I visited the store was today, on my birthday. I wanted to buy something as a gift to myself. She happened to be there again, and when I asked about an item on the silver rack she was once again very rude and dismissive. She looked like she either hates her job or just didn't want to deal with me. Another employee ended up helping my friend and me. She had an accent (I didn't catch her name), but she was much kinder and actually helpful, so I appreciated that. The store itself is really cute. The design feels very 70s-inspired and they even have a lounge-style seating area that feels like a waiting room. They also regularly have items on outside sale racks--things like bathing suits, hats, shirts, leggings, and sweatpants. Parking is not great. You may have to park across the road for free parking or drive further down to find a spot. Also, because the store is in Malibu, expect heavy traffic. Overall, I probably won't be returning to this location. Now that I know my size and have a few pieces from the brand, I'll likely just order online. It's nice to go into a store the first time to feel the fabric and see how things fit, but the customer service here made the experience disappointing. read more

This aviator nation is quite different from the other ones but it seems like they all offer something a little different. This one is a venue and has a bar in addition to the typical Aviator Nation clothing. We went when the streets in Malibu were starting to be open so it empty but heard later in the night the place is popping. They also have various events which might be of interest to people. I was so excited to buy this brand and loved how soft they were . my tan sweatshirt had been great but I purchased to bright colored sweatshirts. one purple and one pink and they are impossible to keep its color and I washed them on cold inside out and hung to dry and still left white wash stains all over it and they actually told me "it's better to spot clean it and try to not wash often" this is crazy to me for the price I should be able to wash my sweatshirt and not have the color fade and get distorted . very bummed read more

This place has the coolest retro vibe. You kind of just have to walk around and take it all in! There is a stage where they have live bands and cute little eclectic tables arranged around the room that face the center of the room. We ordered the guacamole that came with homemade chips. The chips came hot and fresh and the guacamole was exceptionally delicious with just the right amount of spice! I had the Carne Asada tacos and my boyfriend had The Sunrise bowl that came with eggs, rosemary potatoes, cheese, arugula and avocado. He gave me bites and it was so yummy! My tacos where off the charts as well and tasted super fresh! Last, but not least we ordered a Cadillac Margarita to share and it was perfectly balanced, so we plan to definitely come back for those as well! read more

I love this brand where I have been wanting a hoodie from here and I got my chance. They had a sales tent outside because of Black Friday and had a decent selection of items or all ranges and sizes. They gave free cup cozie covers. Inside the store they seem to have a bar/music stage so I guess you can come and shop while grabbing a cocktail and listen to live music. There is parking so that is a bonus. read more

I'm not a girl that usually writes reviews, but everyone I've talked to that works here is amazing. I think their names are Jordan, Rip, Jonah, and then there was a girl with shoulder length brunette here that helped me a ton. I probably asked them to look in the back for no less than half a dozen items and it seemed like they were always super happy to help and really quick about it. I didn't feel like there was any pressure to buy anything and they let me know that there was a sale tomorrow. So I ended up saving 20-40% off on everything I wanted! I bought one sports bra that same day which they ended up price adjusting for me the next day. Can't say enough good things about the customer service here, if y'all see this, thank you SO much. (As for the items themselves, they're pricey, and maybe not the best in terms of value, but I personally prioritize style, comfort, and quality over cost.) read more

Love everything they make and the staff at this particular store is so nice. They will accommodate special requests and returns etc. have transferred inventory for me and always very helpful. Quality of the product is exceptional and I wear it year round in all weather. They now make cute sweat shorts too that I can wear all summer. Writing this a bit shellshocked. I came in with my dog to check out the store and about 30 seconds after walking in a golden and a husky that were off leash for some crazy reason ran over and were lunging towards her. I'm really sad to give this store such a bad review. I buy many of my sweatshirts at Aviator Nation, usually at the Abbot Kinney location. My husband and I were in Malibu and he wanted to buy me a new sweatshirt for Valentine's Day. We stopped in and were greeted by Ryan who was so nice and friendly. After that, everything went downhill, quickly. I was looking for a rainbow white hoodie and asked two of the girls working at the back if they had this particular sweatshirt. Without even bothering to look, one of the girls who had a major attitude, said, "No it's sold out everywhere." When I inquired about other colors, she claimed that there was only yellow. Neither of the two girls offered to check another store, or even go to the back. One of the girls, Ava, was particularly nonchalant, and had an "I don't care attitude." As we were leaving the store, I spotted the white rainbow sweatshirts on a table. My size wasn't there but Ryan offered to go check the back, and lo and behold, he found my size. When Ava came walking up to the register, and Ryan was ringing me up, I couldn't help myself from saying, "...and this is how you make an almost $250 sale." I also called the store manager several times and she never responded to my calls. Finally, I called the corporate office who said they were so disappointed to hear about the two girls' behavior. I have been a distant fan of Aviator Nation for a while now, so I was really excited to visit the store when in Malibu for a surf event on Saturday, July 30th. The staff at the store was incredibly helpful and kind. In particular, there were two males (can't remember their names) who helped me with accessories (sunglasses/hat) who deserve a shout out for being so complimentary. When I called this location to explain that I was driving an hour from my home and wanted to see if I would go out of my way to look at their sale rack for toddler size hoodie, the lady on phone said "sorry we can't disclose that over the phone" so I followed up with "do you even have toddler size clothing on the sale rack", and she replied "we do, we have great items!" Enthusiastically. So we drove out of our way to a messy sale rack, clothes not even on hangers & multiple items draped over so only one toddler size item and the sales people behind the counter not even caring about that or us. In the past when I've purchased items - at this location & at Venice they ask for my name to look up the history and both times they have had to sign me up for a new account. I've been shopping at both locations since 2013z Seriously? I thought they were moving into a tech company with a huge online sales option and they can't even get their admin side down so my thousands of dollars of purchase history has been lost. The absolute worst customer service. I have been wanting a zip-up and sweats for the longest time and decided to come into the Malibu location while visiting for Thanksgiving. Walked in and I was the only customer. Three guys were at the register and none acknowledged me so I continued browsing. One of the guys presented a mask out of no where and I had zero issue wearing one, but the staff were wearing theirs on their chin and one wasn't at all... It made no sense. No one helped me the entire time I was looking until I asked for a size and received the "if it isn't there then no" answer. I still decided to try stuff on an asked for a room and a different guy rudely said "just go in". In where?! I had no idea where the rooms were. I decided against the 4 items and left. She gave me the phone number for La Jolla store. When I called they didn't have any, but Bianca told me they had three. So the La Jolla store checked their stock room and Yes, they had three! They will ship the hoodie to me. Thanks to Bianca my shopping experience was a great one. Now THIS is customer service.
