We never got checked on, no refill and had to ask another server for napkins because our waitress spent the whole time we were there at a table near us with I can only assume was her boyfriend or husband. The other waitresses were really hustling taking their jobs seriously. This really shows bad management and we don't spend money at places that don't respect their customers.

My friend had the planked salmon; I had the tri-tip. The tri-tip marinade was decent, but the beef cut was tough and dry. Definitely a disappointing experience. There are lots of cool automotive touches, vintage signs, and garage-style charm that give it a laid-back, quirky personality. It is the kind of place where you notice something new every time you look around. We were seated quickly and greeted by our server. We ordered waters and a couple of pops. It is a Pepsi establishment, so I went with a Diet Mountain Dew. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with extra crispy tots and a side of honey mustard. The sandwich was just the right size for lunch, and the tots were hot, crispy, and plentiful. The honey mustard was way better than expected--sweet, tangy, and perfect for dipping. My friend was excited to see an Impossible Burger on the menu. As a vegetarian, it is rare for her to have a solid lunch option. Daisy's even had vegan fare available, which was a nice surprise. I did not remember to photograph my lunch, but I have absolutely no regrets about eating it. If you are in the Cedar Rapids area, give Daisy's a try. Great atmosphere, great service, and some seriously great tots.

It is a rustic setting, but don't think the décor of Cracker Barrel, it is much nicer than that. Try the upper level outdoor deck for a ideal view of the Iowa agricultural heaven. The menu is varied, with something for everyone. Our party had four different entrees, with remarks like 'very good' and 'ok'. French Onion soup was pretty good for starters, made with swiss cheese, my preference is mozzarella, but still tasty. We shared the Pig Sty dessert, which was large enough for 4 to share. Specials on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday afternoons. Our server, Jordan, was excellent. Attentive, but not overbearing at all, willing to explain the menu, and give some info on the barn itself. He also answered our question about the upstairs, reservable, Lover's nook, which is quite unique. He also asked how our food was at the end of the meal, and...he actually asked what they could do to make a dish better. That is a plus. Will most likely return to try some of the other dishes, being as it is a very nice pastural drive. If the food can consistently match the atmosphere I could bump up the rating without question.
