    Their coleslaw is AMAZING
    Jeff O.

This place is so cool. Great ambiance. Family owned and operated. Great diversity of food options. But they do their pork tenderloin really well, fish fry on Fridays (and I think it's always on their menu). Their flat iron is LEGIT. They cook it right. Nice tender and juicy cut. Great beer selection too!

    Even more beautiful inside!

Wonderful experience! We ate here with my brother and his family, a total of 8 including 2 kids. The barn was beautiful, the staff was super friendly, and the food was great! Our favorites were the bartender in bibs and the Cow pie for dessert

    Tenderloin and fries were perfect!

First time ever going tonight and I had to try the tenderloin! I thought it was great! Had to wait a little while for our food but they were very busy! Loved the atmosphere being in an old barn. Will definitely go back again!

We stopped in for our first time tonight! Cute place that is practically in the middle of no where. From the outside it just looks like a barn. But on the inside is beautiful! Great food. Neat atmosphere. Great service by Bailey.

    Best meal ever

Mmm so good! Best in town,or the universe! I'll recommend this place to all my friends

Overpriced. Steak over cooked. Potatoes undercooked, waitress was rude when we were the only table at the time.

Our waiter was terrific. He was professional and informative. One of the other servers tried to serve our food when we were still working on the apps. I also had a great glass of a very good Cabernet to go with my steak. This place was great and we'd both come back here again.

Not an easy drink to pour for many bartenders, but these were PERFECT! We were glancing at the menu and I decided to order their PIZZAIOLA - ribeye cap, roasted tomatoes, roasted garlic, olive tapenade, fresh mozzarella, oregano, house made focaccia. After ordering, my son and I chuckled that I ordered a steak pizza. And I started to stress - a $50 pizza??? When the dish arrived, I almost fell out of my chair. The aroma of the tomatoes, the bread the steak - wow!!! A picture paints a thousand words but one bite generated millions! I will be back for graduation soon and will be sure to make my reservations well in advance!!! Been to most places in this town the past couple years - stumbling into here was the best decision ever!!!

My husband and I arrived a bit early- parking is really tough on a Friday night in downtown Galena but we scored a spot a block away quickly. So, we headed to the bar to enjoy a pre-dinner drink. $10 Pinot Grigio and Petosi $6.00 on tap- I enjoyed the piano player for a bit! Very talented! Once our party all arrived, we will seated in one of the dining rooms. We started with sharing saganaki, because this is what you do here. Most everyone ordered the filet, but I wanted the salmon and husband had the Greek chicken. The entrees come with a starch and soup or salad so we chose the cream of broccoli and a baked potato. Everything was very tasty and service was excellent as they work on a team - so there was always someone promptly picking up dishes etc. The meal ran about $75 pp as we averaged it out

They also serve dinner rolls. It's a tremendous amount of food. My daughter ordered the same thing I did except she subbed her potato for broccoli ($3 upcharge) We had a glass of wine as well. That should tell you something about how good they are. Their service is outstanding. The food is great never had a bad meal. My wife has Alzheimer's and she always enjoys the ride up in the view overlooking the river. I had to ask for tables along the outside to get the best view of the river. My friend from work and I came here tonight. Wow. They have an informal lounge downstairs and a more formal dining room upstairs. The lounge has the same menu plus a lounge menu. So we chose more choice. The lounge was kinda dark and it's not fancy. But it's clean and open. It's fine. The server was terrific. Ash accommodated our need for separate checks (for us each to bill for our meal). She was attentive and pleasant. I asked her what she liked better between a couple of things and she gave me an honest answer. I followed her recommendation, The beet salad was lovely. the dressing had some goat cheese in it and was delicious. The fresh beets on the side really worked with the dressing. My friend got the cheese platter to start and there was lots of cheese. He loved it. He got the lounge version of the salmon, which he thought was great. I got the Artic Char, which was delicate and phenomenal. It was topped with pieces of lobster and caviar like eggs. The fish was delicate and the sauce rich, but not overpowering. It was delightful. We both loved our meals and highly recommend Orchard Green.

First, this is fancier than your usual, casual restaurant. It is also more expensive than your usual, casual restaurant (main courses avg. $45/dish). That being said, you can dine on the first floor (the lounge) or the second floor (main dining room). Service was good, the server was very pleasant. The ambiance was chill, soft music playing in the background, def not a casual restaurant... The menu was not 20 pages long, just 2 pages, with a great variety of dishes. First, had the crab cakes, 2 small square ones on the plate, I wish there had been more, because they were just amazing... Then came the lobster bisque, very tasty, really hit the spot... 2 main dishes were tried: Pistachio crusted white fish and Jerk chicken. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the flavors on every bite were absolutely delicious, and the potato pancake was super tasty and a perfect complement to the fish. The chicken (1/2 chicken) was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly in my opinion, the little potatoes and broccoli were very tasty also. For dessert, crème brûlée... Pretty amazing as well. I feel this is a place you bring someone you want to impress or just treat to an amazing gastronomical experience.
