This is elite breakfast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The quaint little house feels exactly like you're walking into grandma and grandpa's house for a good meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a specialty coffee blend from a local shop in town, a homemade pop tart on the menu, and anywhere you can sub a biscuit is a-ok in my book. The portions are big and you won't leave hungry!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Absolutely lovely place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was an 11/10 - she belongs in fine dining I swear. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is lovely and clean, adorable decor[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the food was stellar. Highly recommend their buttery soft frittatas.

Food was absolutely delicious!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a small looking restaurant on the outside but the restaurant inside looked so big and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating upstairs and downstairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress,Renee, was super sweet and so attentive. We loved having her for a server. Will definitely be back here.

Now this place was delicious. Between the cold brew coffee with maple cold foam, the smash burger, and kettle chips and the s'mores poptart. You cannot go wrong. Only mistake we made was not making reservations earlier - the wait was about 35-40 min. But we overall loved it all!

Always a top notch breakfast! Don't forget the cinnamon roll and the pop tarts and an Otto's Sunrise to wash it all down.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute spot to grab breakfast![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the atmosphere and the service was great but the food was just okay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the frittata which looked good but was lacking flavor. Loved the salad and potatoes that came with the dish. We also tried the French toast which again, looked better than it tasted. I would definitely return and try other items because I liked the place itself!

A reservation is a must on the weekends as it's a very busy place, food was amazing. Loved the berry french toast and chorizo scrambler, my cold brew was also amazing.

Should have taken photo before I began eating. Great bread and breakfast sausage.

Amazing breakfast! 5 of us dined, and breakfast was enjoyed by all. We enjoyed it so much we went back for breakfast the next day! Great food.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant is really cute and in a nice spot in town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We loved the food options and also that you could get breakfast cocktails. Loved the cinnamon roll and the sweet potato hash. Our waiter was super helpful and informative.

My husband and I went in to Otto's for breakfast this morning. It was easily the best breakfast spot we have found in Galena! It is an old home converted to a breakfast/lunch spot. We learned the name "Otto" pays homage to a man named Otto who originally lived upstairs, had plans to make it a restaurant downstairs, but unfortunately just wasn't able to financially. It is warm and welcoming inside! We sat up at the bar, but we learned it is smart to make reservations ahead of time! I started with some cold brew which was great! Pro tip, add the maple cold foam on top it is delicious! My husband had the country skillet. The biscuit was delicious! He really liked the biscuit gravy too and thought it wasn't so heavy like some can be. I ordered the sweet potato hash which was delicious! I ordered some sourdough on the side. We also decided to split the homemade pop tart and you should also! It was so delicious! We also learned that the chef behind the restaurant is Kevin Scharpf who was on season 16 of Top Chef, too cool!! We will definitely be going back to Otto's next time we are in Galena!

    Apple pop tart

While in Galena.....Worth the Repeat Visit! This is officially our new favorite breakfast spot in Galena--we came two days in a row! Everything is made with quality ingredients: Scratch-made pancakes w/ real maple syrup & killer French toast. The sweet potato hash & salmon lox were outstanding. Get the flaky apple pop tarts! Service was great; sitting at the counter was cool both times. 10/10 recommend!

I found out from our server that many of their items are made in house, which is great to hear in a restaurant landscape where everything is frozen and reheated! It might have a silly name and the decor might be "rundown chic", but the food and service is spectacular.

It may be kind of dumpy inside but the place is also full of crazy personality. A lot of the basics along with a few fancier items. The prices are pretty okay for the portions and quality. Basically if you're a group it will probably be waiting for a table so go early. It's one of the popular places to go around here. The last time coming here we got seats at the bar and there wasn't any waiting. Has a lot of cool memorabilia to look at. There's a bunch of funny signs on the walls. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail. The Fuzzy Navel is one of the classics you can get. It's about $13 for a burger and fries. They have a veggie burger that can substitute. We each got one of these. I got it with the toppings of the Basic Burger. These come with the usual toppings like lettuce, mayonnaise which I left off, onions, pickles, and tomatoes. She got it with the toppings of the Olive Burger. These come with cheddar, lettuce, mayonnaise, olives, onions, Swiss, and tomatoes. For sure it gets busy. It's located on Main at Franklin. They're closed Wednesdays.

We dined here on a Wednesday at 11:15 or so, shortly after they opened (middle of May). I mention…read morethis because I'm certain the season and time of day matters in terms of wait times, etc. That said; I recommend you try eating here, if for no other reason than the food. The place itself is a clean open area with a wall of windows to enjoy the views of the golf course. Service was friendly and prompt but we (my wife and I) were one of two or three tables (approximately 10 people total dining at the time). The food was the star of the show! One word to describe the food: Fresh. We started with a cheese curd appetizer, and that was awesome! Fresh white cheddar cheese, lightly breaded and fried. Yum! We then had steak tacos and a margherita pizza (both pictured). The tacos were spilling over into freshly made tortilla shells and the pizza was brick oven baked. Both, based on the great flavor, were clearly made with fresh ingredients! Note: I love pizza, BUT I don't love thin crust pizza (which is how this pizza is prepared). However, they pulled it off with a great tasting dough that was absolutely perfectly baked (not cardboard from over-baking, and not a floppy mess from underbaking). We will be back!

We were somewhat reluctant to dine here, but so glad we did. Nice ambiance. Views were lovely…read more The menu was seasonal which I enjoyed. Any restaurant that changes its menu to incorporate seasonal ingredients is a major plus. I ordered the sausage trio. Our server highly recommended this dish. Omg. Three links including elk, venison, and Bison. Delicious flavors of wild game seasoned just right. Mouth watering. The German style potatoes and sauerkraut were perfect accompaniments.

Family and I decided to check out galena for the first time and decided to check this place out since the galena brewing company was closed. Not sure why because the sign said open and it was 11:15 am. The food here was alright, wings didn't come out with the celery and we felt rushed. We asked for menus and he said we needed to wait till after 11 am! It was 11:15 am lol. Food is nothing to brag about, but it did the job after a 3 hour drive. I should've read the reviews before going into this place. Not a top choice if we go back. Be aware this place only takes cash and checks. No credit card payments. Found that out at the bar when I had to go pay my bill because the waiter didn't mention anything! Lady at the bar said the ATM is at the front. Terrible way to start a Galena visit. Here are some pictures of our food and hopefully this place has better management and nicer staff.

From the get go, the lady taking our order was in a bit of a rush. My family was with me and we had a couple questions regarding the menu. I felt that our server's response was abrupt and felt like she was brushing us off to get to the next customer. The food was meh. I mean it wasn't terrible but it was pretty basic. The hubby got a cheeseburger, my daughter got the grilled cheese meal, and I got the buffalo wings. The menu said that celery and carrot sticks came with my order but I just got the wings. When I was able to finally flag down our server to inquire about my veggie sticks and dressing, she said "oh we're out of those" and was about to walk off until I quickly asked her what about the ranch? She then quickly pointed to the little square ranch container that was in the middle of the table. I mean maybe offer other things to accommodate for what's missing or at least tell me that off the bat would have been nice. We pretty much just ate our food and was ready to go right after. The name Paradise Bar & Grill is an oxymoron as we did not feel like we were in paradise.
