Food was absolutely delicious!! Such a small looking restaurant on the outside but the restaurant inside looked so big and spacious. Seating upstairs and downstairs. The waitress,Renee, was super sweet and so attentive. We loved having her for a server. Will definitely be back here.

Now this place was delicious. Between the cold brew coffee with maple cold foam, the smash burger, and kettle chips and the s'mores poptart. You cannot go wrong. Only mistake we made was not making reservations earlier - the wait was about 35-40 min. But we overall loved it all!

Very cute spot to grab breakfast! Loved the atmosphere and the service was great but the food was just okay. I had the frittata which looked good but was lacking flavor. Loved the salad and potatoes that came with the dish. We also tried the French toast which again, looked better than it tasted. I would definitely return and try other items because I liked the place itself!

A reservation is a must on the weekends as it's a very busy place, food was amazing. Loved the berry french toast and chorizo scrambler, my cold brew was also amazing.

Should have taken photo before I began eating. Great bread and breakfast sausage.

Amazing breakfast! 5 of us dined, and breakfast was enjoyed by all. We enjoyed it so much we went back for breakfast the next day! Great food.

This restaurant is really cute and in a nice spot in town. We loved the food options and also that you could get breakfast cocktails. Loved the cinnamon roll and the sweet potato hash. Our waiter was super helpful and informative.

My husband and I went in to Otto's for breakfast this morning. It was easily the best breakfast spot we have found in Galena! It is an old home converted to a breakfast/lunch spot. We learned the name "Otto" pays homage to a man named Otto who originally lived upstairs, had plans to make it a restaurant downstairs, but unfortunately just wasn't able to financially. It is warm and welcoming inside! We sat up at the bar, but we learned it is smart to make reservations ahead of time! I started with some cold brew which was great! Pro tip, add the maple cold foam on top it is delicious! My husband had the country skillet. The biscuit was delicious! He really liked the biscuit gravy too and thought it wasn't so heavy like some can be. I ordered the sweet potato hash which was delicious! I ordered some sourdough on the side. We also decided to split the homemade pop tart and you should also! It was so delicious! We also learned that the chef behind the restaurant is Kevin Scharpf who was on season 16 of Top Chef, too cool!! We will definitely be going back to Otto's next time we are in Galena!

While in Galena.....Worth the Repeat Visit! This is officially our new favorite breakfast spot in Galena--we came two days in a row! Everything is made with quality ingredients: Scratch-made pancakes w/ real maple syrup & killer French toast. The sweet potato hash & salmon lox were outstanding. Get the flaky apple pop tarts! Service was great; sitting at the counter was cool both times. 10/10 recommend!

We've been coming to Galena for 18 years and this was the first time we came here! We typically go out for dinner and make breakfast at home but Otto's is a must for breakfast! My husband and I both had the breakfast sando. The portions were large and I was stuffed. My mom ordered the skilled and said it was really good. Kids had the pancakes which were fluffy. I'm deducting 1 star because my husband did not like the coffee. Our waiter was super friendly. Great service. I will definitely be back to try some of their lunch menu items.

Otto's is a great place for breakfast and lunch. It's got a couple levels, but it does get quite loud, so when they're busy, be prepared to have a bit of noise around you. We grabbed some egg tacos and sweet potato hash. Everything was excellent, and I appreciate their great service. Sometimes is takes a bit to get someone to initially stop over, so take some time and check out the menu - but once you get started, they're very attentive. If you're staying somewhere in Galena where you're not going to hang out for breakfast in a hotel or similar, you can't go wrong with the menu at Otto's. Plus, once you're done, you can always walk down by the train tracks and work off the meal you just ate! Really great scenery for those looking to explore Galena!

Dinners come with a choice of two sides along with bread for the table. The bread was warm and so tasty that we needed another loaf! Two people ordered the Chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms , another the sirloin strip and I got the pretzel crusted walleye which is fresh and not frozen. My walleye was cooked well - I thought with the pretzel crust it would be more crispy than it was - but still good. The chicken was very good as well as the steak. The sides we had were asparagus, fried Brussels sprouts, and Augratin potatoes. Everyone liked their sides. The restaurant is in the lower level of the Desoto Hotel. It may be kind of dumpy inside but the place is also full of crazy personality. A lot of the basics along with a few fancier items. The prices are pretty okay for the portions and quality. Basically if you're a group it will probably be waiting for a table so go early. It's one of the popular places to go around here. The last time coming here we got seats at the bar and there wasn't any waiting. Has a lot of cool memorabilia to look at. There's a bunch of funny signs on the walls. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail. The Fuzzy Navel is one of the classics you can get. It's about $13 for a burger and fries. They have a veggie burger that can substitute. We each got one of these. I got it with the toppings of the Basic Burger. These come with the usual toppings like lettuce, mayonnaise which I left off, onions, pickles, and tomatoes. She got it with the toppings of the Olive Burger. These come with cheddar, lettuce, mayonnaise, olives, onions, Swiss, and tomatoes. For sure it gets busy. It's located on Main at Franklin. They're closed Wednesdays.

We ordered two cheeseburger kids meals with fries for our little humans (who were thrilled, and honestly, so were we sneaking a fry or two) and the San Francisco Patty Melt--which is chicken-based and satisfying enough to hit the spot. The San Francisco Patty Melt was enjoyable--juicy chicken, melty cheese, toasted bread, and a reliably comforting choice. Durty Gurt's has a fun, lively vibe that makes you want to cheer when your food arrives, and the playful, colorful décor--bright signs, quirky wall art, and whimsical little touches everywhere--makes the whole place feel like a cheerful, slightly wacky diner full of personality.

Our bartender knew where all the beer came from, told us about its history. Her shift was over and she sat next to us and we talked with her. She was the bright spot of this place. She may have been slower than some, but she kicked ass and all I ever ask is people to be knowledgeable and try. She was one of the bright spots of the place Cleanliness was ok. One of the urinals were clogged and spilled on the floor when you flushed. Men's bathroom was kind of dirty. However, the bar itself was pretty clean but it was in the afternoon The food in my opinion was nothing spectacular. It was just ok. We just got a couple of appetizers. Wings and potato skins were fine but again, nothing to go on for. Liquor prices seem to be cheep in my opinion. I believe for this spot in galena it's on the cheeper side. 66 dollars for the food, 4 beers, Bloody Mary and a whiskey on the rocks. You won't beat that in most spots. So would I come back? Absolutely. Yes the men's bathroom is a huge thing in my honest opinion. However, the bartender recommended certain items that we didn't try because we wanted to not eat a ton. The liquor prices seemed quite cheep and the bartender who I believe was Linda did an amazing job.
