Blueberry Fig Mule (x2 for happy hour), half house salad, side of fries

Goldfinch is a good option when you want somewhere cute and casual. There's limited street parking in Uptown but multiple lots, including their own off of 7th Ave. They also have a patio for when the weather is nice. I've seen a few local musicians here, typically set up in the front window by the bar. The food/drinks are decent. Service is the weak point, in my opinion. It's been below average every time so not somewhere I go often.

This place continues to provide high end cuisine for value prices. Well worth a stop if passing through town

Service was great. Decoration's are really fun. The food is kickin! The chicken wings or tenders are the best.

We stopped here twice while in town for a wedding. Friday night it was busy and all the tables were full. Service was friendly. Food came out fast. We arrived right at 6pm- end of happy hour- wish the waitress would have mentioned it because we would have ordered drinks. The tenderloin was a bit over cooked but had good flavor, Mac n cheese was pretty cheesy and the artichoke spin dip grilled cheese was too much for me but my brother devoured it! Sunday morning was brunch for 10- service, again was spot on and with a smile. Eggs Benedict lacked hollandaise sauce (that makes the meal) on both the regular and the spinach- biscuits and gravy were a hit with homemade biscuits- the Iowa breakfast with ham was a large portion and one can never go wrong with a bottomless Bloody Mary!!

Stopped here today in between games for my youngest daughter's softball tournament. Our team manager called ahead and had a room for our team and we were able to call ahead with our orders. This restaurant staff worked quickly and everything came out quickly. Both my daughters had the kids chicken fingers and fries and I shared the tenderloin with my husband. The mustard aioli was the star of the show! I love mustard and this was amazing. We also had house chips which was nice to have a different option instead of fries. Highly recommend this place.

The food was absolutely incredible! I am gluten free and I got their salmon BLT, while their fryers are cross contaminated which takes most of their offered sides off the menu (including their Brussels sprouts), it was immaculate! I cannot recommend their food enough! The wait time wasn't long at all, and while it was busy it still wasn't loud. I'll for sure be coming back soon! Came back with my boyfriend to add some pictures! They had two baby showers going on but everything was still very fast and the noise was very manageable!

We haven't even left yet and I couldn't wait to tell you how fantastic the food and service is here. I had such a hard time deciding because everything on the menu sounded amazing. We settled on the smoked brisket finch dip and pork tenderloin sandwich which turned out to be two great choices. The brisket is perfectly seasoned and meltingly tender. The pork has just the right amount of spice and was perfectly grilled. Our server couldn't have been more helpful or delightful. Full of positivity and extensive menu knowledge, Megan took great care of us. Be sure to stop in next time you're feeling hungry for some excellent food and genuine hospitality!

Cute place to grab a bite in Marion. It'll be easier to access when construction in front of the building is completed, but dont let that deter you from trying it out now. A good variety of food on the menu at a reasonable price. It is a large space with booths and tables in a retro-type vibe. They even make their own ice cream, so stick around to hear about their desserts before paying the bill.

March Madness. Great view of the games from the bar.

Great customer service but the food was awful. Found a hair in fries and grilled cheese was burnt to a crisp.

The vibe of Hip-Stir ha always been cool and kinda niche and this was no exception. If you don't know that they changed up their menu.. they did. It's not bad by any means, but I am pretty heartbroken about them removing the Spinach Artichoke dip. It was the best around and I'll be overjoyed when it returns. The new menu still features ramen, sandwiches and other yummy dishes. I ordered a side of Mac and cheese with my entree and the food was out in about 20 minutes which is great! Unfortunately my Mac and cheese was forgotten- our server apologized and went to "get that started", no worries. The next time our server was at our table I inquired about it again since it had been about 10 minutes, but she had forgotten yet again. She rushed back to "get it started", ok. At this point everyone was getting full and I didn't even want it anymore, but she returned a few minutes later with it. A little frustrating. The ramen has changed, unfortunately. My sister ordered the spicy pork (which has historically been amazing) and didn't even finish it, which is pretty weird for her lol. I tasted nothing but soy sauce and spice. I'm not sure where the aromatics went, but they need to bring them back asap. Don't order the carrot cake. It was served over coffee (yes, hot coffee) which ruined it. The cake was overly soggy and tasted of nothing but the coffee flavor. I'm sure it would have been great without it, the frosting looked great. I'll probably be back and love supporting the Fun not Fancy group in CR, but last night was a miss.

I also enjoyed being able to enjoy the Tinsel pop up decorations as well.

There are lots of cool automotive touches, vintage signs, and garage-style charm that give it a laid-back, quirky personality. It is the kind of place where you notice something new every time you look around. We were seated quickly and greeted by our server. We ordered waters and a couple of pops. It is a Pepsi establishment, so I went with a Diet Mountain Dew. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with extra crispy tots and a side of honey mustard. The sandwich was just the right size for lunch, and the tots were hot, crispy, and plentiful. The honey mustard was way better than expected--sweet, tangy, and perfect for dipping. My friend was excited to see an Impossible Burger on the menu. As a vegetarian, it is rare for her to have a solid lunch option. Daisy's even had vegan fare available, which was a nice surprise. I did not remember to photograph my lunch, but I have absolutely no regrets about eating it. If you are in the Cedar Rapids area, give Daisy's a try. Great atmosphere, great service, and some seriously great tots.

A quick Yelp search came up with Daisy's right down the street, so we headed over. Daisy's is a cool little sports bar sitting in Marion in what appears to be a brand-new plaza. When you enter the place, it does indeed, look like a garage. Large bar to the right, tables (inside and out) to the left and straight back. Grabbed a high top and the waitress was super friendly and was over to say hi as soon as we sat. Menu is decent sized and offers primarily sports-bar centric type offerings: sandwiches, burgers, wings, some salads and apps - a fat kids dream. Beers were icy cold and fresh and went well with our nachos and burgers. Food portions were good sized and everything was fresh and well made. Overall a fine experience and I would definitely hit it again if in the area. There were plenty of tv's around for catching whatever sports were on as well in the event you are looking for a place to watch a game, Prices were average. Parking lot in front

First impressions were a bit confusing--the entrance makes you feel like you're walking into an office building. There's a door to the right with signage for what seems to be a sister bar that's only open on limited nights, but the actual restaurant is straight back. Once inside, the space is large and open, with plenty of room between tables and a sizable bar area. I sat at the bar and learned about their Whiskey Wednesday specials, which included several types of Old Fashioneds and whiskey flights. While it sounded intriguing, I opted not to partake. They also offer daily drink special themes. The menu is eclectic, with a mix of Cajun, Italian, and American fare. I went with the Cacio e Pepe with Elephant Ear (Orcchiette) pasta, and added shrimp along with a half wedge salad as a premium side. The pasta itself was delicious--perfectly cooked with a rich, peppery flavor. However, I wish the server had mentioned that the shrimp was Cajun-seasoned. While great on its own, it slightly overpowered the pasta. The wedge salad was a bit of a letdown--the lettuce was watery, which diluted the overall flavor. The dish also came with garlic bread, which was yummy. Service was outstanding--attentive, friendly, and efficient. Unfortunately, it was hard to get a real read on the restaurant's vibe because it was pretty empty on a Wednesday night.
