Had my trial, liked my makeup, but then my artists left and I got assigned new ones. I couldn't afford a second trial and the owner was not polite to me when discussing any options. She was extremely inflexible & blaming me for scheduling my trial 'too early'. Whether she is in the right or wrong, she should learn how to tell people no politely instead of getting an attitude. 'I'm sorry, but I can't do that.' would go a long way even if it's a fake apology. Instead she was super rude. Customer service ZERO from the owner. Was assured the make up artists had pics and could recreate the look. They did not. I didn't like my makeup and my hair fell flat very quickly. The makeup artists put some brown lipstick on that I would have never, and didn't do, in the trial, which makes me think she didn't even look at the photo. The hair and makeup artists were all kind, despite me feeling like an attempt to adjust somethings I didn't like got dismissed (too thick liquid liner and too thin brows) and she didn't change them. Said it would look better in photos but I hate it in all the photos. I wish I had gone with another company but I couldn't afford to do more trials and lose my deposit. Oh well. read more

Alix did an amazing job with both my hair and makeup. The convenience of having the trial done right at my house was such a huge plus -- I didn't have to worry about commuting, which made everything so much easier. The hair extensions were installed beautifully, and Alix really took the time to listen to my feedback from the trial, making sure my look was exactly what I wanted. I was initially concerned about my headpiece, as it was on the heavier side, but I was thrilled to find it stayed securely in place all night -- no slipping at all! Given that our wedding was outdoors in August, I was also impressed by how well my makeup held up through the sweat and heat. I didn't have to touch up once! The booking and all information was solely done through the owner. I provided some photos as to what look I was going for. Monique, the makeup and hair artist, arrived on time. She was fully prepared, professional and personable. She did a great job on my hair and makeup. I was attending a black tie event and want to look super nice and frankly can't do my makeup like a professional Lol. When booking, a couple of things to keep in mind: Consider your time frame of when you need to leave by to your party, event, etc. Have enough space so that the artist can lay out all their makeup and equipment (flat iron, curling iron, etc.) and room enough to work. Find a place that has a plug ins or get an extension cord if needed. If you tend to get hot, wear something light during your appointment If wearing a dress for your occasion , a step-in dress is best. But if you have something that pulls over your face and head, just be careful. Oh and plan on sitting for a while so make sure you have a comfortable chair. Learned that the hard way! read more
