I worked with Chelsea throughout the whole process, and she is clearly very talented at what she does. However, I was a little disappointed with the lack of communication in the months leading up. I would text her with questions, or inquiries about setting up trial appointments and it would take at least a week or 2 to hear back...at one point I almost thought she completely ghosted me.  I also do wish the overall getting ready experience had gone a little differently on the wedding morning. When Chelsea arrived at our Airbnb, I greeted her with excitement and positivity--after all, it was my wedding day. However, from the beginning, the energy felt a bit off. She immediately began scouting the house for the best lighting setup, which I completely understand, but I felt she barely acknowledged or greeted my bridesmaids who were all sitting together in the living room. I understand she could have been having an off morning, been tired, nervous, or stressed, but unfortunately that same energy seemed to continue throughout the day. I really tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, considering this was a completely opposite attitude than what I had seen from her during our trial appointments.  While doing hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and family members, there was very little conversation, which made the room feel awkward at times. Chelsea's assistant, who handled hair services, also seemed to carry a similar attitude. I noticed several moments where my bridesmaids and mother(s) would ask for advice or opinions, and the responses they received felt short or somewhat condescending. Since they are the professionals, everyone was simply looking for guidance, so I'm just confused why it felt negative.  I really wish their overall energy had matched the excitement and positivity of the morning, because it started to feel like the mood in the room was being drained rather than uplifted. To their credit, hair and makeup finished ahead of schedule, which I appreciated.  I had also paid for the "touch-up" package which essentially just meant that Chelsea would stay until the ceremony began to ensure everything looked perfect. However, I do feel she stayed a bit too long. About 10 minutes before the ceremony, everyone left the bridal suite to head to the ceremony lawn while my coordinator planned to come back for me separately. This gave me a few quiet minutes alone before walking down the aisle- or at least I expected it would. At that point, my hair and makeup were already complete and touched-up, so there was not much else to do. Chelsea still remained in the room the entire time when I would have really valued having those final moments to myself, especially knowing it would be the last quiet moment of the day. I recognize I could have spoken up, but after the overall interactions throughout the morning, I honestly didn't feel comfortable doing so. Overall, the quality of the hair and makeup itself was genuinely excellent, and I was very happy with my final look. I just wish the experience and overall attitude throughout the day had felt warmer and more welcoming. If you are planning to book with FUSE, please just be prepared to possibly have a complete 180 experience from what you see during your trials. *I also want to note that I did not express my frustrations to any of my friends or family members on the day-of because I did not want to cause any drama or make anyone feel uncomfortable. The people who received services actually reached out to me a few days later expressing the same feelings I had, which I think definitely validates the unprofessional behavior we experienced.
