I went to this salon for regular highlights and was very disappointed with the experience. I was charged $400, but I was never informed beforehand that a more expensive service was going to be done. I expected to pay for regular highlights and would have appreciated being told about the price and service change before proceeding. Unfortunately, I also did not like the final result. The color was much darker than the picture I showed, and the outcome was very different from what I had requested. For the price I paid, I expected much better communication and a result closer to the reference photo. I'm especially disappointed that the cost was not discussed with me upfront. If I could give it 0 stars I would... I went in today for my 2 yr old son to get a cut I asked before hand if they did kids and said yes. I asked to sit with him because he doesn't do well with cuts and they said it was ok. As soon as the lady started to cut his hair he freaked out (per usual unfortunately) but she cut the bottom part of his hair ONLY and told me she WAS NOT cutting his hair and told me to "come back next time" WHHHAAATTTT!! She left his hair completely botched and allowed that I walked out with a horrible experience and horrible attempted cut on my son, she didn't even try or try to have patience instantly said she wasn't doing it. Don't bring your kids that are sensitive. read more

Update: I didn't see them taking photos. The lady that works with him was walking around me in a very sneaky way, I didn't know she was taking pictures. I went to the salon, nicely asking him to delete my photos, and that I have a right to post about my experience, given the fact that I was paying customer. He kept telling me I'm not welcome over there and that he wants to report me to yelp. These people took photos of me WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT. He was so upset that I posted my experience, apparently we can't post anything unless it's positive in this salon. Also good hairstylists know how to work with different types of hair, not just smooth hair. And blowouts are supposed to make the hair look smooth. I visited this place the day before yesterday for a regular blowout. I explained exactly that over the phone and specifically said I did NOT want a Brazilian blowout. I even asked what that was because I didn't know. I was given an appointment for 10:30-10:40 and told I'd be seen then. When I arrived, he said he thought I wanted a Brazilian blowout, which takes three hours, despite our conversation on the phone. I wasn't seen until 40 minutes into my appointment because he already had another appointment scheduled 20 minutes after mine. None of this was mentioned when I booked. The blowout itself was well below average. I repeatedly had to point out that parts of my hair were still wet, and he kept commenting on how frizzy my hair was, almost as if he was preparing me for the poor result. I get blowouts regularly and my hair always looks great,and no frizz in sight. A good hairstylist knows how to work hair and make it look nice. He does have all the products as he kept showing me what he used. Tiny bits of course. Then he finished with, "It'll be $60. Happy birthday." The salon is messy, dirty, unorganized, and the staff wasn't particularly friendly. For $60, I expected much better service and a much better blowout. It's not a fancy salon that justifies that price. Unless you're looking for an overpriced hole-in-the-wall in Corona, I'd save your money. You can find a cleaner place with nicer staff and a better blowout for less. :) read more

Tommy is the best! I only get trims, but as someone who only went to one person her whole life, switching after moving was very scary. Tommy squeezed me in before they opened one morning and was so knowledgeable about his art. They had just returned from a hair convention to make sure they are still up to date with the latest techniques. I appreciate his care and passion for what he does. I have been back three times now and had a different lady for one of those times. She did great as well. It is a little pricey, but so is everything now adays. I reached out to the business through Yelp, before business hours and Le responded to me within 15 min to let me know I could schedule an appointment schedule an appointment shortly after opening (I requested earliest available). When I arrived, I was immediately taken to a chair and did a quick consult with Lina about what I wanted (I wanted a cut from shoulder length to bixie). She quickly got to work; double cleansed my hair, and then started the cut. She was soooo sweet!!! While I was in her chair she had some small talk with me, but not too much (you know some people talk so much they forget they are cutting your hair and go too far, she did not do this). Lina cut my hair exactly like I asked, and when she styled it she did not use too much product, which I really appreciate. He is beyond expert level at hair coloring and cutting and yet he's very humble and says he's always taking classes to keep up and learn and improve his technique. Firstly, I had a last minute video interview and desperately needed my hair done without much notice. I saw Tommy's work on Yelp and messaged them and luckily they had a same day cancellation! I snatched it up so fast. My usual salon was booked and far away. This was ten minutes from my house. The employees were kind and nice and Tommy was wonderful and had my trust within minutes. Everything was clean and up to standards. I wasn't pressured into any additional services and they were honest. Also, they sold my favorite products. They were able to cover the grey streak in the front of my hair and had the most wonderful cut since I had not had a cut in over a year and desperately needed it. It was my first time going to the salon and I finally found the stylist who can handle my thick volume hair! I've always gotten my hair done in Japan. Because I hadn't have met any stylists in the US who knew how to thin out my volume hair, and it never came out how I wanted. The owner(forgot to get his name but I believe Tommy) is a knowledgeable skilled hairstylist and knows how Japanese hair is different from other Asians'. Not only thinned out my hair perfectly but added texture with his amazing techniques! I scheduled an appointment for a haircut and I was super excited. When I got there, someone washed my hair. Afterwards, I sat in the chair and the hairstylist told me that he was going to have lunch, which I was totally okay and fine with. As soon as he was done, I asked how he was, and he complained that he had to work until 9:00 pm. He then proceeded to give me major attitude and was very rude to me, to the point where I wanted to leave as I felt uncomfortable. I couldn't because my hair was already washed. He asked how I wanted my haircut and I told him how I wanted it, he was still very rude to me. The entire time, I just wanted to leave. After my haircut, the receptionist told me that the haircut was $75. My hair is very fine and thin. This isn't the first time as I've been at their salon before and I was only charged $55 before. I ask why it was $75 and she said she didn't know. I heard him in the background and he said it was $75 and never gave me a reason. I left and I was very upset, to the point of tears. I will never come back to the salon again, that hairstylist needs to change his attitude and treat his clients with respect and not take his attitude out on anyone. read more

I came in with hair that was worked on incorrectly I had 2-3 different colors in my hair, super dark in between. Just looked terrible. I told Tommy Lee everything I didn't like and what I wanted to change and he did exactly that. He explained every step very throughly so we both could make sure we are on the same page.
