I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other parents should be aware of my experience. My daughter worked all summer to save up for her back-to-school hair appointment. Before booking, we were quoted $170 online. When we arrived, that same price was confirmed again in person, so we felt comfortable moving forward. To our surprise, after the service was completed, we were charged $350--more than double the quoted price. At no point during the appointment were we told the price had changed or given the opportunity to approve the additional cost before the work continued. If the final price was going to be significantly higher, that should have been communicated upfront so we could make an informed decision. Transparent pricing is especially important when working with young clients who have saved their own money. I'm sharing this experience so other parents know to ask for the final total in writing before the service begins and to confirm that the quoted price will not change without their approval. I showed my confirmation but I never made it on the books for the day. I was graciously taken by a stylist after some back and forth from everyone on who would take me. Left with the haircut I requested and that's the end of it. Wasn't an experience or vibe . Just sat and got a haircut with nothing special to say about the salon or stylist. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience. First, the salon itself was not very clean. There was hair all over the floor, including buildup in the corners along the peeling baseboards, which wasn't a great first impression. I booked an appointment with Ellie for an all-over color. I came in with a warm, light brown and showed her a photo of myself from a few months ago as my reference. I explained that I wanted to return to that same chocolate brown color and specifically said I did not want my hair to be too dark. When she showed me the color swatch, I told her it looked much darker than what I wanted. She assured me it was the correct shade, so I trusted her professional judgment. Unfortunately, the final result was much darker than the reference photo I provided. It looks almost black indoors, which is the exact opposite of what I had asked for. When I expressed that I wasn't happy with how dark it turned out, I was simply told, "It will fade." When I explained that it wasn't the color I requested, the response I received was, "I've been doing hair for 30 years." I paid $175 for an all-over color with no haircut, and I left feeling disappointed instead of excited about my hair. I understand that fresh color can soften over time, but that's different from receiving a shade that was significantly darker than the one I clearly requested and discussed beforehand. read more

Be very careful with this salon they quoted me prior to the service for partial highlights $180 proceeded to leave me for an hour etc while she worked on another client - my hair was over processed from the stylist she had to put more product and way more additional steps kept apologizing to me that her other client she was doing while I was "sitting" took her longer then she had expected so she had to put correcting toner to reverse what she did and proceeded to charge me $400 for the extra charge this place is deceptive I did not pay and definitely didn't tip beware! read more

I haven't had my hair dyed in 5 years and after dealing with postpartum hair loss and just feeling a sense of identity loss, I feel so confident and cute with my new hair. I have naturally brown hair but was looking to get grey/blonde underneath and she really delivered. I wanted to give her a lot of creative freedom so she came through with the suggestion of going slightly darker than my natural hair which made the light colour pop along with my green eyes. She redid the layers in my hair neatened up my bangs so the blended in more with my hair but still framed my face. I booked a same day appt with Marissa to trim my hair to a shorter bob. When she cut it to length and did some de-bulking, i asked her to add layers because I have a lot hair & wanted it to feel less dense on the ends. I felt like something was off with my cut, specifically the right side cause the top layer was shorter than the other side of my hair. When she curled it, I felt like I could just hide the uneven side by styling it/letting it grow out. I asked her how it looked cause I felt so unsure but couldn't quite pinpoint why I felt something was off. She said it looked good. Decided to wash and straighten my hair the next day cause something felt uneven about the cut. Thats when I realized the layers were choppy and uneven throughout my whole hair. My husband shows up with my daughter, only to find out that the stylist we chose, was let go the day prior and no one had access to the scheduling software to notify the customers. There was another stylist, Marissa Ibarra, who was just finishing up another client, but had another one waiting, as well. My husband goes to check-in, and she gives him the bad news. She felt so bad, because it was our daughter's back-to-school cut and color. So she decided to help us out. She spent 5.5 hours doing a balayage on our daughter's curly hair!!!
