On the outside it's just white but as soon as you start to walk up to the serving window, you're met with a thing of beauty. They put out water and treats for dogs. They have some children's books. The serving table has all the sweeteners you could desire. And then the decor inside the trailer... you have to take a step back and admire it. The interior is done in a light, natural wood look with maybe a boat quality varnish. The equipment looks neat, clean and ready to go. The owner was clearly passionate about coffee. My wife and mother in law had latte's and I had a simple earl grey tea (I'm a simple guy). No one was disappointed. Even the cups and the sleeves felt like good quality products, as if the owners get that people want a hot cup of joe ;-) I thought it was a great touch to have the logo on the sleeve too. I love a small business and definitely wanted to try this place (hoping to pry my wife away from the chain shop). If you can find them in your local area, give them a try and I think you'll enjoy the experience as much as I did.

The staff... both the guy with the tablet who took my order while I was in the drive-thru line-and the gal at the window-were so warm, friendly, chill and helpful. I'd go back just to bask in their positivity! But kindness isn't the only thing on the menu. There's coffee, tea, plant-based energy drinks, Italian sodas... and dozens (I think 75) of flavors you can add to them. In a fist visit, I usually start with chai tea latte... but today I asked for suggestions and ended up with a hot hibiscus tea with added pear flavoring. It was so floral and different! Hello new year! This knocked "the usual" on its head. I'm not sure that it will end up being my favorite offering here, but yeah... here's to shaking things up! I also tried the rainbow bagel-which was pretty and tasty. I liked the chew. Next time I'll try the strawberry cream cheese with it. There are filled croissants, too... but I forgot to ask about the flavors-and you can get mini donuts, too. White Duck was founded by a couple of Seattle transplants, who wanted to bring the "two windows in a shed" model of Pacific Northwest coffee shops to the Bay Area. And that's exactly what this is-a drive thru-no indoor seating-and I didn't see any outdoor tables, either. This is grab and go. But there's parking behind the building, if you want to sit and savor a bit. The shop is way up on North Dale Mabry-near Van Dyke-on the east side, right next to a Wendy's. It wasn't busy when I first got there but there at 8:30 on a Wednesday morning, but it soon picked up. I can see why... it's so convenient and the staff is so nice. They really stand out. I can't wait to stop in again and try more! I read on the website that the owners lost a child to cancer and part of the proceeds from each purchase goes to research. I love grapefruit green tea and have never been able to find a place that makes it taste like I like it from only 1 other place and that's very far from home. White Duck has officially won me over!!! Music is your typical light easy listening coffee shop songs. Don't worry if you're not into religious themed music-it was pretty generic. Coffee was excellent. I only had a drip coffee with oat milk (plant based mills obviously available) with stevia but was a big fan. Also went back for more before they closed and they ran out of drip coffee. Rather than make more, the barista (who couldn't have been friendlier) basically gave me an Americana on the house. Also very good. The seating area opens up to the church hobby where there are some large comfy chairs and couches, so you can get that, too, if you're there to catch up with friends. They do close early (2:00) so keep that in mind. Otherwise, great place to get your caffeine on and work done.

Food samples are provided throughout the store on a weekly basis (for sure on the weekends). I prefer this location over the Sunlake store because I never feel rushed or stressed here. The low pedestrian traffic really makes a difference. I don't have to worry about careening into another grocery cart while shopping sales. Recommend 10/10

She kindly offered to give it to me for free and I could pay later but I insisted I'd head back to the hotel, get my wallet and come back for my ice cream before close! I had 30 minutes and I walk fast! I ended up visiting to try a new non-dairy flavor three evenings in a row! Service was always excellent and the shop was always fun! The first time it happened, I called and spoke to the owner, declined compensation, and asked that they just review cross-contamination prevention with their baristas. It happened again three days later. What made the second time my last visit is that the young man who made my latte asked if I had called about the oat milk and apologized again for the error... then gave me a contaminated beverage. I also wouldn't bother with their food. The cinnamon bun was tasty but nothing that you couldn't get out of a truck stop vending machine.
