    This place is the epitome of a sleazy, lying dealership. I absolutely love my Subaru Forester but the dealership has made it a nightmare. Keep that in mind if you are thinking of buying one. You'll probably have to drive to Troy to get it serviced if you want honesty. Without getting into the awful experience of when I bought my car, I will focus on the recent service encounter that proves their shadiness is not confined to just sales. The "leadership's" lack of customer service and morals encompass the entire environment. My check tire pressure alarm came on. My husband recently broke 9 ribs. I say that only because I AVOID that place unless I HAVE to go there. He told me to swing by the dealership and have it checked since I was grocery shopping nearby. I called first. A nice lady told me that it would take a quick 15-20 minutes and to bring it by. An hour later (after rudely being told -gaslighted-that i stopped by without an appointment so they had to "make room"), i was told it had an UNFIXABLE PUNTCTURE and I'd have to buy 4 new tires!!!!!!! My car only has 16,500 miles on it and I'd need to buy all new tires?!?! They send me home with the spare and say they will call back with quotes. They never did. Weird. My husband gets the tire out, clearly calls bull and cannot believe they would actually try to fool me into buying all new tires. ***The next day we take it to Discount Tire where it was fixed for free in less than an hour. Can you even believe this?!?!? *** . Oh, without us making an appointment nor calling first either. I feel it important to note, they also marked a random spot closer to the wheel-well but considering there was no leak/puncture there I can only jump to conclusions as to why they did that. None of them good, all of them shady. As an added bonus, the GM called after I voiced my disgust. The same man who told me it wasn't a big deal that I didn't get both key fobs with my new car and, when I realized how awful they were and wanted to return my car the next day, he offered $32,000 while another dealership offered me $36,000. He had the audacity to say i didn't remember him, that he was the one who tried to help me. I am neither stupid nor forgetful. Pardon the long review. I do not typically write negative ones so I wanted to make sure I provided enough FACTS to support it. Be warned if you go there. Ladies, if you are like me and do not know enough about vehicles to question EVERYTHING, this is sadly a place you'll want to bring your dad, husband or brother with you to. Yup, these places still sadly exist. On the positive side, the Services Manager just called me. Evidently the tech thought it was necessary to tell me this was not fixable and new tire/s were my only option because I was in a hurry. And this is an acceptable reason to them. So, it might be a great place to be an employee...just not a customer. P.S. I did enjoy hearing how "transparency" is their goal while being told, they didn't know if it was patchable so telling me it was un-patchable was the best approach

It was close to where he lives and the reviews were good, although there were only two reviews at the time. Even though I didn't deal directly with them, I'm still able to write a review based on what transpired due to the fact that with our advice and guidance through a difficult repair, he was in close touch with us through the early processes of dropping it off for a quote. This was also the second facility he took his car to for an estimate so we knew what to expect from the first quote process and had the ballpark figure in mind as to how much it could/would be. After explaining one of the problems, they advised him there would be a charge to drive it around so they could make a better diagnosis. The first place he took it to didn't drive it around. They put it up on the hoist and could see what the problem was. The other issue was an electrical one and they told him there'd be a fee to check it out because of the time process involved in trouble shooting electrical problems. They didn't mention to him whether the fees would be subtracted from his total bill, nor did he ask. That's up to the repair facility to clearly inform the customer one way or the other whether the fee is subtracted at the end if the customer chooses to get the repair done at their facility. Needless to say, since they weren't clear on whether these were subtracted, we decided to have him try a third facility for another quote. The third facility is where the repair will be done because the fee for troubleshooting was explained clearly that if the car was repaired there, the fee would be deducted from the final bill. It was made clear and was understood without any further questions. The cost came in much lower than the first place he took it to, so this is how it was decided to go with that facility instead. I'm only rating this based on the process of wanting to have the car looked at and what the outcome of that first interaction was. Maybe other places charge fees to drive a car around, but we've had plenty of cars repaired in the past and were never told of this type of fee nor were we charged for that. So it caught me by surprise when my son called us with this information. Based on the two other excellent reviews from actual repairs and for clarification purposes, it sounds like they're a trusted place and have good prices and satisfied customers that would recommend them to others, but we didn't like what we heard in the beginning and decided to try another automotive repair facility. But that's why we have choices and that's why places offer quotes so the consumer can make an educated decision based on what they are told and can decide if the repair facility is a good fit and is a place they want their car fixed at.
