My home was serviced for my quarterly treatment yesterday, 5/13. My technician, Lucia, was, as always, prompt, thorough, attentive to individual questions and needs. In addition, she has been monitoring a rodent treatment system in my upstairs, basement, and outdoor areas. At this point, the problem is very much under control. Signed up with them because I had mice in the basement, they put in traps and sprayed, problem has gotten about 50% better. They then offered me spray for the yard to control ticks and mosquitoes, signed up and paid, and then took them three weeks to be able to get something scheduled to come out and do the work, had to threaten to cancel before they would come out. Had a couple of glitches with misinformation regarding when and where they spray, but continued to move forward. Have one technician who is absolutely amazing, shows up when he says he's going to does the full service, but recently had a different technician who was supposed to be doing my yard application, only sprayed the perimeter of the house and the perimeter of my deck, never went into the backyard and actually sprayed the yard or the fence line. Do you have cameras and it was recorded. Went out front to speak to him and he was already gone, had come and gone from my property and under 12 minutes. Contacted customer service who is all but useless and there was a bit of a language issue on their end so eventually after about 30 minutes, I asked for a supervisor. Was told no supervisors are available but one would call me by the end of day the woman took all my information and told me somebody would call me back. No one called. Called them back a week later because I was out of town and they told me they completely understood the issue manager would call me back or I could cancel and get a full refund of the $99 fee as well as a prorated for my quarterly in-house treatment. No manager called me back. Called again the next day and was told they would cancel my service with no cancellation fee, but they would not refund any money unless I wanted to send them all of my phone logs and the video proving that nobody called me back and be the technician didn't do the work. He claims he did. I asked why they didn't ask me for me that when I originally called and they said they didn't know. Ended up canceling all my services and would highly recommend nobody use them, first of all their management does not call back and lies about it and second of all their technicians with the exception of one or two are scam artist they pull up in front of your house and then they leave without really doing too much. read more

I am extremely disappointed with Fox Pest Control. Since starting service, I've actually seen more ants inside my home than outside, and my yard and driveway now have more ant hills than I know what to do with. I hired a pest control company because I expected the problem to improve, not get worse. I've reached out about my concerns and haven't been satisfied with the response. Based on my experience, the treatments have not been effective, and I feel like I paid for a service that didn't solve the issue. We purchased a service in April 2026 for standard household pests. Since the website states "Satisfaction Guaranteed" we assumed they meant this. The person who came to our home spent a great deal of time outdoors setting mouse traps. However, I observed less time and attention to the inside of the home. I would expect spraying under sinks and around all baseboards. Under the sinks was not attended to and it seemed like the person was in a big rush to just get it done and move on. When we called (twice) to ask them to return due to the pests still inside the house they said they would not because we had purchased a One Time Service. So much for the "Satisfaction Guaranteed." I would not recommend this service for either quality or value. The original service was sold by a door-to-door solicitor who used friendly but high pressure tactics. Stay away. Company is way overpriced for the service you get. Sure the guys are friendly, but they really just screwing you with a smile on their face. The guy that showed up at my house unannounced promised the world to get me to sign a 2 year contract for $70/month. That $70 gets you 15-20mins every three months, for a guy to wipe down your first floor only windows. If you live in a two story home only half will get treated. The yard is not treated at all. My big concern was hornets, tech that came to my house ignored any nests while doing the routine service. This requires a specific phone call to fox to schedule another appointment for them to look at those. This company shouldn't even be allowed to stay in business, what a joke. read more

They sold me a service that I really didn't want nor need, but they scheduled an appointment for the next day to get rid of the bees and that's what I wanted. Unfortunately, NO ONE showed up for the scheduled appointment. When I called, I finally spoke to Alicia who passed me on to Kelvin (the original person I spoke with) and he said he would check on what happened and call me back. I'm still waiting. TL;DR Don't do business with Fox. I truly wish I could leave less than a 1-star review. As stated in other reviews, they come to your door with high-pressure sales tactics. The people that come to your door to sell to you have very little knowledge of what exactly they do (fed me a lot of bologna), and are college kids from other states flown in to make commissions. We had realized we had carpenter bees, and figured we should try out Fox since they were there. Once the services started we'd get a different "technician" each time, who would give us a different story or different advice as to what to do to treat our problems. This would result in multiple calls in order to get a problem resolved (if you can finally get a hold of them). We had a very specific bug issue, and it took 3 different techs to come out and identify the bug, and then treat it. The first tech was late/no-show but blamed me. The 2nd just used some awful spray that gave us all headaches. The 3rd tech was a manager, who had emailed me. I emailed him back 3 times to make an appointment, and when he finally came to our house he said "oh I don't check my email." After all of this, countless calls to the company, speaking to supervisors, complaining, etc. etc. I had enough. I called to cancel, and they had the guts to try and charge me a $220 cancelation fee. Aggressive kid on a hoverboard starting knocking on my door when I was busy unloading groceries. Would not take no for an answer. I explained i had cats, which he could clearly see because one of them was laying on my porch between the two of us. I told him I dont spray anything without doing research first because of my pets and wildlife. I love my yard bunnies and squirrels. They arent pests. I also have a huge organic garden. Know your audience. Im not it. Dude would not leave me alone about it. Wanted money and access to my house that night. Gtfo with that. You all are insane employing these dumb kids to try to scam people into contracts. Next time he shows up, I will be the exterminator of one large pest on my property. They have not picked up the phone in months while still charging our card. You'll be on hold through an automated answering service over half an hour and the line will drop. Sometimes while on hold they direct you to put your # in and the message says they will return a call in 48 hours. You will never get a call back. I had looked online for some info about exterminators recently & had clicked on Fox Pest Control. The next thing I know (two days later, at the same time of day I'd looked at their website) their representative is on my doorstep. I showed him my problem (some wood boring insects outside eating my shed) and I asked him if he could take those out. Nope. He said that they don't do single service exterminations. They want to make you sign a contract with a downpayment and a monthly fee so they can come every month and spray for lots of pests you don't even have. No thank you--I don't like unsolicited visits from scam artists who are clearly trying to hook you into their scheme, not to mention widespread and unnecessary pesticides aren't good for people or the environment. read more

The sales rep told me they use all organic treatments that won't harm any non-targets. Their website tells a different story about the pesticides and rodenticides they use in OUTDOOR bait stations, and NOT inside the home. The ingredient in their rodenticides is toxic to birds of prey, wildlife and even cats and dogs if those non-target animals come in contact with and ingest or bite poisoned rodents. Many will die (ask your local wildlife rehabber). The rodents don't die right away after ingesting the poison, so they keep eating more and it takes at least a few days to kill them, so they are still running around until then with concentrated amounts of rodenticide. That makes them extra dangerous to our wildlife, birds of prey and pets. I worry about neighboring outdoor cats in addition to the beautiful hawks I see flying over our houses. I did not sign up but others on my street did when they were going door-to-door. Did you know that the only way to keep rodents out of your home is by blocking all entry points? Killing rodents outdoors and putting other animal and bird lives at risk from secondary poisonings with outside poisonous bait stations is not a solution. I'm disgusted and heart-broken. I hope Fox Pest Control will change their approach and practice. If they do I will update this review. read more

Not sure what else to add, I think the other 1 and 2 star reviews have mentioned just about everything shady these guys are doing. Couple of notes on these guys I'll add. They try to sell you a 2 or 3 year contract. I don't know about most people, but I'm not comfortable signing a 2 year contract with a company I've never used before. If you push back they will drop it down to 1 year. I would NOT recommend a contract with these people. If you do want to try Fox, don't sign up for a contract, just pay them per visit. It may cost more per visit, but may save you a lot of headache trying to cancel in the long run. You will NOT get the terms and conditions from them in writing when you sign up, you'll get it in a PDF they email to you. Terms are totally set up in Fox's favor, not yours. They will say they are discounting the service for you. Like 50% off. Regularly like $400 for the first visit but you only pay $200. What they don't tell you is that you'll have to pay the full $400 if you try to cancel PLUS a $250 cancellation fee. So you pay $200, plus $70 a month for 4 total visits (spring, summer, fall, winter). So basically $100 for the year or $250 per visit. Not way overpriced, but if the service isn't doing what it is supposed to do (as highlighted in countless other reviews here...) it doesn't seem to me to be a great value. In the actual terms and conditions of the contract that gets mailed to you AFTER you've signed the sales person's iPad, there is a right of rescission clause that says you have up until midnight of the 3rd BUSINESS DAY to cancel. If they get you to sign up, they say something like "well, I'll have a technician in the area tomorrow, or like they did with me, they caught me on a Friday and said they had a guy doing several of my neighbors on the following Monday. So once you sign you have very little room to cancel the service, which of course is part of the sales strategy. Additionally, if the technician DOES show up for the service and you try to cancel before the third business day, you're on the hook for the full cost of the initial service ($400) and not the discounted rate ($200). Again, part of the sales strategy. Maximize the cost even if you're going to lose the client. Also, trying to get someone on the phone is a painful process. I had to fool their system by choosing the option for adding additional services (like they'd turn THAT down). Once I got a real person on the phone I canceled right then and there. Within the 3 day right of rescission and BEFORE they showed up to spray. Honestly, I don't fault the kids going door to door (in most cases) I think this is entirely a company pushed way of doing business and that they push these kids relentlessly and train them to engage in questionable sales tactics. The guy who came to my door was polite, and generally pleasant. A little pushy with the pitch, but again, that's the company culture talking there. read more

Horrible company. I had used them twice in the past with mixed results, but decided to have them back again. They gave me a 5 hour window of time for my appointment. I received several text confirmations and reminders of the appointment every day leading up to the appointment. They did not show up. I called the office and they did not understand why the local rep did not come. He called me two hours later and said he can't commit to a job without first doing a consultation. They had already serviced us before, a consult was not needed. No apology for missing the appointment. No remorse. I took an entire day off of work and they no-showed. read more

Initial service was OKAY. Everything seemed to be rushed to sign a contract. We have a 9 week old puppy and live behind the quabbin (so many bugs). We were told to keep the dog off the grass for 30 min/ wait for grass to be dry... we waited 24h. After 2 hours of the puppy going outside, she became sluggish and was unable to lift herself up from muscle weakness and tremors. She also had a seizure and uncontrollable urination. Went to urgent care and gave her a drug test that came back negative. Vet stated she indeed had toxicity in her system. $900 an iv drip and medication, not worth my house being sprayed. Horrible experience! Would not recommend to any of my neighbors who have 4 legged family members. read more

I have no bug issues, just mice in the kitchen. The salesperson was wonderful and so was the technician who came and sprayed for bugs and set 2 mouse traps in the kitchen. A few days go by and no sign of mice in kitchen because now they are in my bathroom chewing toilet paper . I called and they said they can not get anyone out to me until the following week so in the mean time I set up glue traps with thier suggestion of using a Twix candy bar to lure them. Well so far I have caught 6 mice with regular mouse traps. I canceled my service and asked about the 100% money back guarantee and a confirmation email on my cancelation. I have not received anything! As I have been looking into other Pest control services for mice putting down just a trap is not a good way to get rid of them. If I could give them a 0, I would. Fox Pest Control wanted about $1,100 for a 1 year contract. They didn't come monthly, only when requested. When they came, they barely glanced at my areas of concern. All they did was mainly put a few rat poison traps around the house and in the basement which I could have done myself. They sprayed once or twice. Before my 1 year contract ended I wanted them to come out 1 final time for a last visit. They didn't have a date available before the contract ended so I made one with them for a few days after my contract ended with the understanding that there wouldn't be an extra fee. But they charged me for an extra month ($109) anyway! They said I didn't cancel my service 30 days before it ended, but I did! They refused to drop the extra fee. Later, they dangled hope by promising to end the contract at its natural conclusion, only to betray that promise by continuing to charge me. Imagine my shock when, two weeks later, Fox shows up at my door ready to provide a service I explicitly refused. I called them back, only to be slapped with the reality that I was still on their books. And now, suddenly, I'm told I won't be getting any refund, contradicting the previous assurance because, apparently, Fox's word is as reliable as a house of cards in a windstorm. This isn't just about me; it's about all of us who've been trapped in their cycle of broken promises and endless billing, even after our contracts have ended. It's clear Fox Pest Control has no regard for customer autonomy or satisfaction. They've said they would cancel my service and issue a refund not once, but multiple times, only to backtrack each time. called Fox Pest Control after a quick internet search for yellow jacket removal (time crunch for carpenter to do work). The next was high up in rotted fascia wood. This company does not wear bee suit protection or climb ladders. They do have a long pole with which they can spray the wasps. This did not get rid of the nest. Their work is not guaranteed so they wanted to charge me ANOTHER $350 to try again or enter into an expensive 12 month contract. No thank you! Fortunately, we found the Bee Hunter who DOES wear a bee suit, does climb ladders & does guarantee to return free of charge if unsuccessful. They took care of that nest and another one that was found later. If you have a yellow jacket problem, I suggest you avoid Fox Pest Control & their expensive, non-guaranteed business practices. read more

I've also allow access to my garage where he checked the status of the two pest traps while he was spraying the exterior of my house. TL;DR pest control company beaches contact and takes advantage of elderly woman. Back pedals real fast when male child of elderly woman calls them out. They came to our horse and signed a contract with my 70 year old mother at the beginning of summer last year. They have since then taken their payment monthly. And only shown up to the house 4 times. 2 of those times they never entered the home or provided service and the third they left because "it was raining." Stanley, their service manager, called my mother 4 days ago (friday). He told my mother that his service reps are saying the house is so dirty they can't provide possibly service. Nothing has changed since they signed the contract. Clear floors and everything. Not one of their service reps has entered the house, so... When my mother asked Stanley if they were canceling the contract he said they were no longer going to service the house. Today we were charged our monthly rate. When I called and finally tasked to Stanley I asked him how this scenario doesn't seem like they're taking advantage of an elderly woman? Reps showing up and immediately leaving, Reps claiming to have entered the house when they never did, refusing to service a home and still charging them? He had no answer. Stanley investigated found that our story was accurate. He refunded us three months but still refused to continue to honor the contract that they breached. Thanks for nothing guys. read more

I left a review months ago, very detailed and now it is gone. Not sure how it disappeared. We thought everything was resolved with Fox Pest Controld of Acton, MA. After canceling our contract months ago. I am now getting bills and emails stating late payment and payment overdue. I tried calling CUSTOMER SERVICE and waited 20 minutes for someone to answer the phone. The CS person asked me my name and them began calling me mam. When she wouldn't listen to me she said I am done with this call, call back when you are in a better mood and HUNG UP on me. I called the sales line and that phone was answered in 3 rings seconds compared to customer service. Sales told me someone would call me back. Please train your techs better. The sales person clearly ignored my beware of dog sign. He continued walking up my driveway while my Great Pyr was barking at him. At that point he should have left. By the time I got outside to try and stop him my dog was jumping on the tech I had to pull her off of him. If u can't train your techs on safety for just greetings I can only imagine how they would be trained in pesticide use. Will never use this company for that reason. First off I just want to start by saying that i don't usually give bad reviews ever. But i got scammed. One of the salespeople came to by house and pitch me their services. I have mosquitos in my backyard and i spray every month to get rid of them. I thought maybe the so called professional have a better product. I gave them a shot. I was only interested in mosquitos. They said it's parts of a package and everything comes with it. Their product didn't work and the mosquitos kept coming back. So they scheduled another appointment and i told them no. They said it's part of a contract--which was never mentioned to me. The salesperson said they would come back, I said can i cancel anytime they said sure, if i didn't like the service. What they didn't tell me was that there's a 150 cancelation fee because we are going into a contract. And that i enter into two contracts. One for mosquitos and one for everything else, which i didn't need in the first place. What a rip off. Now they are charging me 300 to cancel. that is the last time they will see a penny for me. read more

The disappointment with Fox Pest Control was real. Despite the high initial fee $470 and Hight monthly payment $77 , the pest control methods didn't work well. When I wanted to cancel, they insisted on charging an additional fee, adding to the frustration. It felt like a waste of both time and money. I do not recommend it to anyone I know and care about. Thank you! This was great. At first I was going to have someone home to meet with the technician, but they were called into work and I didn't have time to adjust or get home. It is hard for me to call off work for these types of appointments especially last minute! The technician just figured it out and did his thing without anyone here and that was super helpful for me that I didn't have to cancel or reschedule. These bees have been a huge issue, and I will be so happy to be able to sit on my porch again! I had yellow jackets make a nest in the air conditioner on my balcony..they were coming into condo. Call Fox pest control in Melrose Ma. a few days later they (Jonathan) took care of the nest in the air conditioner. The only problem was I saw so many yellow jackets in the condo..yikes. The next day another phone call and Gary came out and checked out the possible areas where they were coming in. He found the area and duct tape (gorilla brand) the area between where slider meets the wall and that did it!!!!! Still had some yellow jacks in condo but after swatting them with fly swatter they are gone...thank goodness. read more
