They fastenen the washer to the floor but did not connect the drain,hot or cold water but they unhooked it in the old house so what they do vs dont do is a mystery to me. Said I should have hired a plumber. IF you can't connect it then dont disconnect it. Then the removed the stands from the TV's and again said it was not their jobbut they removed the stands. I wish I had seen the dozens of one star reviews beforehand, and taken a hint. Never again. They quoted us and ended up charging us double. Their movers left multiple large items behind due to poor loading skills and said they were "out of room" and then wrecked our property with their truck. They said I would have to hire another round of movers to get the rest even though their truck was more than big enough if packed more efficiently. Took it up with the office and they told me that their movers could have taken longer and that they actually saved me money and I should be grateful. They then were insulted that I asked for them to reimburse me for the few hundred dollars I had to pay to fix my property after they damaged it. Wow! Very unprofessional and reckless! We had dozens of broken items which they said could do nothing about because we packed it. The items were all bubble wrapped, and all boxes clearly marked. When they opened the back of the truck to unload the bottom box was CLEARLY marked "fragile kitchen items". Of the 5 boxes on top of it one was clearly marked "HEAVY". When i mentioned this, they got an attitude and started tossing our items recklessly. When i spoke to Danielle at the office she didn't care except to point out we packed so we were responsible for all damage. I went over everything in my house on the phone with Danielle piece by piece, first they said truck was overloaded and they would deliver remainder when they could. Later they said that I did not tell them everything I had and held my remainder of stuff for ransom until I agreed to pay an additional amount of money. All my clothing and bedding that was not in vacuum bags had to be cleaned because the movers had to spend the night in truck they said, and they smoked in the back of truck. The drivers were upset and were rough with my things so There are a lot of damaged items and I was referred to a website that will not stay up or let me list all the items damaged. We hired this company to load our trailer that would be traveling 2500 miles across the country to our destination. I was told the movers would wrap our furniture so it would travel safely and be undamaged. Some items were wrapped, while others were not for some reason. If the customer is responsible for wrapping, why did the movers wrap SOME items (and poorly at that) instead of NONE? Sadly we had a LOT of damage as these PROFESSIONAL movers placed boxes on top of bare table tops which got scratched up and ruined. Even if the customer is responsible for wrapping items for safety, shouldn't the movers at least warn us that they are going to place items on table tops and that these items will most likely be ruined during the long journey? Also, heavier boxes placed on top of lighter boxes which were smashed and destroyed, and an inability to pack all of our items into the space. We had four 8' x 4' floor mats that could have easily been laid on the floor of the trailer and then boxes and furniture placed on top, but we had to leave them behind because the movers didn't do this. We thought we hired movers we could trust to load the trailer so our items would be safe traveling across the country, which these movers KNEW in advance. The should know better. Unfortunately, this was not the case. They get an extra star for sending extra movers at no extra cost, but that's it. One word: Disappointed. read more

They loaded our truck, banged our furniture up, and were in such a hurry that they left some of our belongings at our house. They initially said they could pack everything. DO NOT USE! We hired them for a move (1 br apartment) from East TN to Atlanta. They were 2 hours late to Atlanta and literally ALL of the furniture was damaged. I don't even know where to begin so am awful experience. We were quoted for 3 men for 2 hours. It was a very small move just furniture and a few boxes from a 750 sq foot apartment. No packing. The 3 men showed up and spent more time on the phone and smoking than actually working. Then I was charged almost double. When I contacted Fox the said they would look into it. August 31st, Fox M&S delivered household goods to a new home across a narrow street from our home. It had been raining for 3 days from the remnants of hurricane Ida, leaving the ground really SOFT. You can only imagine the damage a heavy delivery truck can make on soft yard soil. I asked the driver to take a photo and send to his company management, which he did. Today is September 16th and I have not heard word one from the Fox M&S company to discuss repairs to my yard. What a great crew! I got a call when they were half an hour out. They moved all the things I asked safely and carefully as if it was their own stuff. One guy on the crew was real outgoing and personable and the other two were more quiet. The move was quoted for 3 hours and they got it done really close to that. (Even with two pickups) although my move was smaller than most, it still involved an oversized couch, big old desk, and a chest of drawers. Very very negative experience with Fox Moving. The office workers were very rude and inconsiderate when asking what size boxes they had available. They were also very rude and non-interested when asking why they told the actual workers to leave a large amount of our belongings in the house we were moving from after we had already left. We told the movers we were leaving, they said they were fine to finish up, they called the office to ask what to do about the things that were not 'on the list' (well why were they not on the list when we pointed everything out in our walkthrough??) and the office told them to leave it. Why would the office not simply call us to ask what we wanted to do? We only found out a ton of items were left in the house and on the lawn when the cleaning woman called to tell us. The movers were long gone. Terrible communication, very rude and disinterested attitude from office step, accused us of lying. The actual guys doing the actual moving were fine, they also could have called us to ask why we would want our stuff just left in the house (we didn't) but they didn't either. Do not do business with this man. He is horrible to his customers, as well as to his employees. He works his employees as 1099's and then makes them adhere to a schedule. Which is illegal. He talks awful about his customers and they are always blaming him if their items are damaged and everyone is supposedly "lying on him" to get a freebee. EVERY TIME! His office employees are cussed at and talked about behind their backs, yet he provides feedback on how they perform their duties and how they present themselves to make his pocket fatter. The phone must be picked up on a first ring basis and if not employees are yelled at from his office. If employees are two minutes late coming in on mornings, from lunch, taking too long in the bathroom, they are given hell over it. Employees are given a 30 minute lunch and supposedly (2) 15 min breaks, but don't dare go over the 30 minutes and don't dare take your 15 min breaks. Terrible experience!!! We hired Fox for a local move on a Saturday morning in Knoxville. They did not show up the morning of at 9am and informed us that our move crew called in sick that day. They said they would have another crew come to do our move, but they didn't show up until 3pm and were only able to move half of our belongings that day. They said it would be the following Monday before they could move the other half of our items. Both moves went ok and the crew were helpful and professional. When we went to pay, Fox tried to charge us for 2 separate moves with a 3 hour minumum each (even though it was their fault that our move wasn't complete in one day). We just moved to Knoxville to a temporary place while we looked for a house. We found the house and we scheduled to move in with Fox on a Saturday. 45 minutes after they were supposed to show up, they finally called (after ignoring our attempts to contact them) to tell us they couldn't send us a crew that we had booked. All they offered was to reschedule us for Monday. This left us scrambling because we had already moved food and clothes to the house and broken down beds. We had to get to the new house. There was no sorry or attempt to offer us a discount for the huge inconvenience they forced on us. When we asked for a reduced price they only gave us 5% and wouldn't even consider going further. Awful experience with this company, first off the guys were late getting to my house. Next it took way too long to load the truck, they had other stuff in the truck but it ended up taking longer than we were quoted. I ended up being over charged by almost an hour, I had documented the time they started and the time they finished. I called in and it was such a hassle getting in touch with anyone. Eventually they refunded me for only 15 minutes and weren't willing to look at my documentation of when they started and when they left. I had called Fox Moving Company to come help me move at the last moment. This company did what, two companies did not do and gave me a time they would be there and even though they were not the cheapest, they were the best for me. They said they would be there at 9:00 and called at 8:20 to say they were headed my direction and arrived early 15 minutes early and went right to work. I paid $750.00 dollars for 3 guys and 1-big truck for 3 hours! half hour into the move 4 more guys showed up to help and all 7 guys moved all my heavy stuff up flights of stairs and literally up the side of a hill and none of them stopped except maybe to use the bathroom or get a drink even though it was very hot outside, and I never seen any one taking a smoke breaks or anyone use the phone as previous reviews had mentioned. Use these movers and ask for James and Gregg. The reasons why are below. These guys moved my apartment very efficiently, and I could not be more satisfied. The movers were actually early, and worked to meet my moving constraints of 2-3 hours. They got everything done in 2 hrs! I had just about everything packed, and had already broken down my table and bed, but I think if I would have asked them to do that it would not have taken long. Fox is definitely good for the price. They charged 75 dollars per hour with a two hour minimum. After that, they pro-rate the price in 15 min increments. Unlike other moving companies I was not charged a transportation fee. That fee with other companies can be about $60-90. If you need them to completely pack your home, they can do that as well. I tipped these guys well because I think they were honest and really worked to meet my needs. One tip is to ask about all the costs of shrink wrapping upfront. First off let me start by saying that I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. Last month I was relocated and for $650 bucks you'd think quality was priority number one. Think again. First they showed up three hours late. Second, they didn't use the truck so the whole thing was haphazard and discombobulated from the start. I suggested to them to use the truck because I had a lot of stuff, but they insisted they knew what they were doing and later on I found out that instead of being professional about the situation they were complaining to anyone and everyone in the apartment complex that I was being rude and telling them how to do their job. They also took numerous long(20 minutes or more) breaks, then became rude with me about contracts and time limits and whatnot. In the end they left half my stuff at the former place, and lied to me saying that the apartment maintenance agreed to help me with the rest of my items. Only later did I find out that they complained to the landlord and blamed the whole disaster on me, saying my attitude was bad and that I used racially charged and profane language with them, which I DID NOT do, which in turn got me evicted from my apartment. Bottom line, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Not only will they botch the move monumentally, but when things go sideways they'll blame it on you instead of being professional and taking responsibility for their own actions. This was the first time we've used movers and I don't know how it could have gone better. Not only were the three movers (Guillermo, Johnny, and Kevin) early, they finished 90 minutes sooner than expected, saving us money and time. Other moving companies (Dodson's, Two Men & a Truck, Gouffon) were quoting us $1800/12-hour estimates on our 2000 square-foot house. My wife and I moved our entire house ourselves last time in about 18 hours. Only Fox was realistic and efficient in their estimate. Our entire house was moved in 4.5 hours (three hours of loading, 1.5 hours of unloading). They filled one of their trucks and didn't try to stall on time or skimp on truck space. Granted, both houses were single-level with flat driveways and we'd packed everything ourselves and moved it into the garage. Oh, where to begin with Fox moving? Note that my displeasure is with the Fox company, not the moving crew themselves (surprise, they're contractors not actual Fox employees). The crew was professional, efficient and timely. The abridged version of this story is that the day of our move, Fox Moving left myself, my wife, 18-month-old, 3-year-old and my wife's parents stranded without a place to stay at 1PM right after they loaded all of our belongings in a box truck. We were told we could speak with the owner the following Monday to work out a discount of some sort. When Monday came, the owner would not speak with me. Instead, he had someone else at the company inform me that there would be no discount other than them covering our hotel rooms. I recently hired Fox Moving & Storage in Knoxville to move my things ONE street over. Sonny, the salesman, came to my home & I went over everything I wanted & what I didn't want. I requested a smaller truck because I lived on a very congested residential street plus I didn't want my neighbor to be blocked in. Sonny said they could use a smaller truck since I was only one street over. Two guys showed up at my home in a large truck (24' I believe), blocked my neighbor in, and acted like they didn't know anything about a smaller truck. For that matter, the guys said they're never told anything about a move except the address. (What??) I requested non-smokers if possible. Both guys wreaked of cigarette smoke & took a lot of smoke breaks. The home I was moved out of & the home I moved into smelled like smoke for close to two days. I asked Sonny if my mattress & box springs would be individually encased because, if not, I would pick up encasings at Walmart. He assured me they would be, however, the guys didn't encase my mattress & box springs at all. They were laid on their sides & dragged across the floor. Needless to say, they were filthy. This is my bed!! Most of my furniture was scratched. One of the guys asked to use the bathroom within 15 minutes of arriving. He was in the bathroom a very long time. Found out later he stopped up my toilet! I won't elaborate on that! Fox Moving was the cheapest of four quotes. The saying, "You get what you pay for" is true in this situation. Moving is very stressful to begin with, but to have the moving company create even more stress is unbelievable. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. read more

I just hired Fox Movers for my 3rd move!! They were amazing! Their prices are fair, the movers are very careful with our belongings and pleasant to work with! I had scheduled a move for my daughter to move from one apartment to another complex. When the movers arrived, we were told that the parking lot was being paved and we could not have access to it. The apartment complex gave us a small time frame to get everything moved. This could have been a disaster, but the Fox Moving crew stepped up and was able to find a way to get everything done with in the small time frame we were allotted. We had several trips to each apartment and still needed to put the remainder of the furniture in storage. This is what we have filed with the BBB. We hired Fox for a move from Knoxville to Townsend We were interviewed by phone and gave extensive details regarding rooms, furniture, etc. We informed them that they would be moving us out of a two story house with stairs, and more importantly, we informed them that the house we were going to had a very steep driveway. The quote we were given was: $89.00 per hour for 2 men and a truck. A very large truck and workers arrived at 1:45PM, and after looking through the house,"John" told us that the rate would START at $89 per hr for the first (8) hours, and after that would escalate to $109 per hr. Because of the size of the truck, we reminded him about the steep drive and he confirmed that he was already aware, but was not too concerned. He also said that there would be an additional "Trip/Travel" Fee charged of (1) hour ($89) on top of everything. He doubted the entire move, including travel time, would take more than the eight hours. They loaded the truck by 5PM (3 hrs labor time) and left for our new house. We tried to lead them there, but lost them. We called and "John" explained that they had needed to stop for a break, and he also mentioned that he was now getting concerned about the steepness of the driveway because of how the truck was handling. They arrived at the new house at 6:15 pm (about 30 minutes late), and parked at the bottom of the drive. John's first response upon getting out of the the truck was "I'll never make it up there". After 30 minutes of trying to get up the drive, and making several calls to his manager (brother), he finally approached us and informed us that the only way to move us in would be to either have the two of them hand carry everything up the drive, or for a second smaller truck to come assist them by transferring goods into the smaller truck, and unloading at the top of the drive. After much discussion, I got on the phone with the manager, who was insistent on charging us additional fees and a higher rate because a second truck was needed. After negotiating, we agreed to stopping the $89 per hr labor clock at (4) hours (2pm to 6pm), and then restarting the clock at $109 per hr once the second truck arrived. This agreement was repeated several times and was heard by everyone present. The second truck arrived at 8pm, - three workers began transferring goods to the smaller truck, unloading it at the house. NO floor mats or coverings were brought or used; in the first 5 minutes before we could stop them, our beautiful new hardwood floors had deep gouges and scratches from hand trucks. At 10:45, with several items still on the smaller truck, the driver presented us with a non-itemized bill for $1297.00. Based on our agreement it should have been: (4) hours at $89 per hour / $356.00 (2PM-6PM) plus 3 hours at $109 per hr/ $327.00 (8PM-11PM) plus a Travel Fee of (1) hr /$89.00, for a total of $772.00. When we did the math for the driver, he shrugged his shoulders, said he understood, but that this was the amount "the office" had given him. His orders were to collect it in cash, or keep the remaining goods on the truck. We called and spoke with the manager - who flatly denied the agreements that all of us (including his crew) had heard and confirmed he had made. We were told by him to either pay or lose our goods. We were able to find the phone humber for the owner of the company,Amy Craig, but even after explaining the math, and after her employee confirmed the agreement, she refused to honor the agreed upon rate. She said she would reduce the bill to $1150.00, stealing an unwarranted $378.00 from us. In taking the last piece of furniture off the truck, they forgot that they had packed the inside with household goods. When they tried to lift it, the top ripped off, the additional weight broke out the sides and back of the cabinet. They refused to accept a claim on the basis that there were pressboard shelves in the cabinet and therefore "excluded from claimable damage.
