We demoed the interior of house, and had drywall, insulation, drapery, paneling, a lot of carpet, carpet pad, carpet tack strips, etc. (please see picture). Had a large shop area full to the brim with stuff. Sent a message over for a quote. Got a call back that day and Mike was over that day to look at it. Quoted me a per dumpster price and and said it would be 3-4 dumpsters. He had it on the schedule for the following Monday morning. It took their crew all of about 2 hours to get it all cleaned up and hauled away. It wasn't all big stuff either to get done quick. All in all it ended up being 3 dumpsters just like he said. It was very easy. One call is all it took. I used mine to clean out my wife's grandmothers old house and it made my life so much easier so I didn't have to drive to the dump several times a day. We used Junk Bee Gone yesterday to help clean out the junk that accumulates when you have lived in one house for over 20 years (our house is being sold and we have moved). We used their two men and a truck program and must say it was excellent. The two young fellows were on time, super polite and helpful....never hesitated to take on whatever "stuff" we had to deal with. The men who arrived to pick up my unwanted items did a fine, efficient job. My complaint is that because my primary residence is in Florida and I tried to write a check drawn on Suntrust Bank here in Knoxville, the owner- manager, Mr. Such, refused to honor it. I have written these checks all around Knoxville and never heard a word of complaint. This business is way too provincial. The crew arrived a bit early, took down two large ancient sheds with flooring, one wood and one metal. In addition, they dismantled old garage cabinets with tops and disposed of a standing fireplace and many moving boxes, ect. This was accomplished in less than two hours. This company is bad news. I was told by the owner, Mike, that he charged $199 for 5 days for a 20 yard dumpster, $10 for every day thereafter, $55 if they had to do a pick up in between. I called 3 times to have them fax or email me a contract before I finally got it. There was no email or fax number on their cover letter so that I could get it back to them ahead of delivery. I filled out the contract, which had been sent to me blank, and handed it to the driver who delivered the dumpster. I called 3 days later to have the dumpster emptied, $55, and then learned my contractor was ill and couldn't complete the week. Upon speaking to the owner, I was told the price was actually $299 per week for a 15 yard dumpster, contrary to what he had represented to me only a few days earlier. If you feel you have to deal with this company, I urge you to get your contract signed by the OWNER in advance, because otherwise you are completely at his mercy inasmuch as he has your credit card on file. Waste Connections is cheaper for the same size dumpster and allows you to keep the dumpster for up to 2 weeks, no additional dumping fee. They are very professional, sending you their contract within 10 minutes of your call to place the order. They bill you a month later. read more

Junk Bee Gone picked up two antique chairs that they were told not to pick up so I called the company and asked them to hold them for me and I would come to pick them up. They took them off the truck and sat them aside. I had some difficulty getting a vehicle to get them and I called to let them know. Two days ago I called and Michelle said she didn't see them and she would check on them and call me back.....no call. Today, I called again, left a message and Mike, the owner called me back, he said the chairs had been "recycled". Why would they recycle something they weren't suppose to get to start out with? When I asked why someone didn't call me, he hung up. 1. They had my number and it would have only taken a second to call. 2. The chairs should have been returned to where they got them, since they weren't suppose to get them to start with. 3. They were antiques and can't be replaced. Mike was so hasty to hang up I was going to ask him about pricing another job, but not now! There is no excuse for rudeness and it loses business. Who needs it! I will not recommend this company , there are a lot of other companies that can remove your junk for a lot less money. its just junk, right? Bev L. read more
